then you did it wrong. There are two A/C connectors, a High side and a low side.you did the wrong one... unless your profile is wrong and you have a r12 vehicle like a 1g.
then they are still 2gb headlights.See picture above...
ALL 2ga headlights and 2gb TALON headlights are the wider 'chrome' versions.
Again, Early eclipse and ALL TALON are the wide version.
IF you have a talon nose and a gap, then you have later 2gb style headlights... whether they are...
true in the uS in some states... but the thread is 3 years old... and the mod is 13-14 years old at this point
not on 2gs.best lighting I ever found in a DSM was good 9005 highbeams in the 9006 low beam socket.
last set of dsm headlights i ever did a couple of years ago, I baked em open...
Gentlemen and ladies...
I ahve always wished my tsi awd had a 6th gear because of freeway cruise rpm (about 3k-3500).I saw that TRE does offer a taller 5th option of 10% and of 25%
which would you go with as that 5th gear is a cruising gear? (they call it top speed)I have noticed that...
After I took the check valve/ unchangeable ballspring boost controller out of the metal T, I got 9 psi on an 8 psi wastegate. After drilling it the hell out i got 12.Worthless POS... sorry for not responding earlier, I sold the Talon and went over to a Black on black BMW e34 5 series...
It'stime for my first oil change and I was looking forward to it... changed the filter easily, but when I went to get the oil plug out of the pan... well it jsut isn't happening.I got it from SBR when I was doing the 6 bolt swap and apparently it is one ofthe chineese ones... the plug was...
at least they are good (once i sent about 3-4 emails) about apologizing for the mistake and will issue me a refund for everything exceppt the $1 shipping and the cost of return once i send it back to them.I'm gonna get a black on black voodoo to replace it, then see about trying to find a...
Funny, those joe P's are home depot specials too. I bet I could buy the upgrade kit and just fix my old HD special.I just love how I decided to put my ass and my money on the line to find out if something is any good, and then when i post a warning that it isn't what they say it is (note i...
I was perfectly happy with my home depot special for well over a year until it somehow vibrated the adjuster's lock nut loose and shot its guts out going down a dirt road at 80mph.I wasn't going to spend $50+ for a home depot built MBC when <$15 would score another homedepot special from...
FYI:This item, though very nicely constructed, turns out to be an ajustable bleeder valve MBC, not a ball spring MBC. The "ball spring part" is in the boost Tee. In otherwords it's a check valve/non adjsutable MBC with a piggly back bleeder for raising boost. Wouldn't be a huge problem...
THey had good feedback on ebay so I bought what was supposed to be a ball/spring MBC. I mean how can you dick that up?IT was a bleedervalve MBC with a leaky non adjustable ball spring MBC built into the boost source t.Fast shipping, but I have not heard back from them regarding getting...
2g head and tstat housing?remove the Tstat housing from the head to free up one side, remove the bolts, then remove the UIP to access the hoses. recommend you get a 90 degree pick tool to get tehm off, or jsut replace with new ones. Don't forget teh water feed to the sandwich cooler.
Remove...
I always take em off out of the car. Amazing what a hammer and an endwrench and some PB blaster can do for loosening them up quickly and easily. I never figured out how to take em off while the turbo was connected very easily.Boost leak test.
I think you are refering to the shift fork boot... no biggie, I don't even have the lower piece that covers the flywheel in place. When one day your clutch dies a natural death, you are going to want to replace the fork and pivot ball, and you can replace the boot at that same time.
Bench bleeding refers to putting the master in a vice and filling the reservoir and manually cycling the piston to pump fluid thru it and get rid of air bubbles... Commonly done on brake masters that have an integral reservoir and a side outlet.AS much angling as I had to do to get it in the...
shoot, just reach in from the top and do it with a regular socket driver and the o2 sensor socket while it is hot... I don't even have to get under the car...or use a breaker bar.10 minutes if you get the correct one that has the harness on it from a vendor like JNZtuning, you are looking...
the other part of the weight you can not remove IMO. at least not without enough work that you'd be better off adjusting the intake.
it moves up and down not just rotates, it's part of the tranny.Let me guess... FP 4" intake? Or something similar with an offset coupler? Your offset...
Different car... sorto f, but the same problem.
act 2600 fidanza street disc. Had a new slave in it but it was still low, master was definately on the way out... eventually put a new one in bled the system, was fine but low. Adjusted it. Fine, then low again... rebled the system by gravity...
Ditto on skillz...
PLus 2gs have to have the pedal properly adjusted for the master to bleed back to the reservoir, they have that silly reservoir/accumulator etc.I've had temp sensative problems before.... mine was a failing slave... after 2-3 hours on the highway I'd hit the clutch to...
yep, I forgot to go back and add the winkies to make it a funny instead of an insult.Point of fact SOHCs don't come in GS-T or GSXs, the rest of them being DSMs... well thats an old debate that was ruled one way in the Talon Digest days, and is interpreted by you another way apparently. The...
hmm. I'll address your last comment first. Most places in this beloved country do not have an AWD dyno. Some do not have an AWD dyno within 6-8 hours drive. You have to tune on the street in those cases. at least to get it close enough to not waste your time or have to trailer the car 2 days for...
I recommend that you take your counterfeit DSM back.no real DSM has a distributor, rotor, cap etc.you said it wont turn over at all? What is the battery voltage? does anything else work in the car at all?You next mod should be hooked on Phonics and Hooked on grammar.
It's funny to me how someone with no experience asks if something is possible, and is told it is not feasable and why is then too dense to agree, drop it, and not look a fool. Instead this person keeps arguing about how nothing else matters except mivec. Never mind port size and shape, valve...
I'd pick 17's simply because of tire selection being wider and cheaper in the 17" sizing, as well as the obvious weight benefits, and the additional sidewall will better protect the rim from unavoidable potholes
umm I didn't say lbs... that's mass.
I specified the weights i was relating also previously, and it was a lot more than one pound!
8lbs difference per wheel and 10 lbs difference flywheelI said also pounds inch squared... that's torque. not mass...never mind anyway...no one...
BTW check out mb motoring Weapon... at $134 for teh 17x8 it's a great deal, and good looking and not heavy either!http://www.discounttiredirect.com/product/wheels/mbmwea.gm.xl.jpgaka A tech Eraser in japanhttp://www.marukanet.co.jp/a-tech/index.htmlonly low 18lbs for the 17x7...
Other way, 9005 are highbeams, and 9006 are low beams...
just get two sets of 9005s and do the mod... after 1 year of trying the 9006 Silverstars (which are way better than OEM replacement) I'm gonna do the 9005 mod myself, too big a difference in output between the 9006 and 9005 for my taste...
EH? what difference does gearing have to do with it? Inertia has nothing to do with gearing? The wheel/tire diameter is the final "gear" in your driveline. I'm just talking about an admittedly rough comparison of rotational inertia of each stock object, and aftermarket lightened pieces. then...
I like the F7s myself, we share similar tastes in rims...just to much $$$ for me...as far as weight goes think about it this way:
1) save engine rotating inertia only (I'd say get the 12 lb xact, fidanzas are too light for a daily driver that sees much stop and go- 10 saved lbs at 10...
I've seen the Azenis on sale in 225/45/17 for 112 at edgeracing.com in the last weekhttp://www.edgeracing.com/tire/1534/edit, missed t9s1i's post... let us know how the G sports are in terms of noise and comfort, as well as all out performance. I tend to keep my tires until I wear em...
fine... you've been told it won't work by the people who actually know what teh hell we are talking about... (me, mavinsky, and others) now go do it.
If it was as "simple" as you seem to think it is, one of us (or our friends) would already have it on our cars. You might think about just...
26lbs as i remember.actually I'd personally guess the lite fins 17's are closer to 21lbs since the lite-7 are already 18.3 lbs. I know my ADR Racing Turismos are about that and are a very similar design, as are the OZs they were based on. They are sturdy as heck though!
I'm definately going...
225/45/17 is the exact match for OEM 205/55/16... the old -10 +10 doesn't work with low profile tires.http://www.dakota-truck.net/TIRECALC/tirecalc.html
correction, that's a 17x7.5 and they come in 16x7 or 17x7.5... look at the rim!they must be pretty heavy when their "lightweight wheel" LIte-7 weighs 18.3 lbs in a 17x7 size.
The boots don't hold the fluid in... the seals do. You probably got dust and dirt in there B/c of the ripped boots and that ate the seals. You should just get the rack rebuilt, or scrounge one off another car..
or just fit an electronically controlled cam gear on your existing head? would be alot easier than running a head backwards and dealing with all that. It's only purpose is to retard cam timing for more torque low in the power band and advance it for better top end hp.Good luck... you are...
look a LOT closer. They are clearly different valve sizes, and port shapes. When is the last time you looked at a DSM or at an EVO head in person? Why are we even discussing this?
Would you say, that 17" tire will fit fine on that 18 or 19 " rim... would you suggest that a 205/40 /17 will give...
