I have heard that new underdrive pulleys will reduce strain on my engine and allow it to spin a bit easier. How is this achieved? If i do get the part/parts how many do i need? I hear a good brand for those is unorthodox, any other good suggestions? If i do get that done, what are drawbacks of...
Ok, i had this slight oil leak problem with my valve cover. It turns out that one of the bolts that is holding it down snapped off. The bolt itself is pretty thick, but the threaded tip on it is real thin. The threaded tip broke off and is in the head. This is not a major deal. My question is...
yea, and no. paint is surface. its kinda stick on. powdercoat melts into the top layer of the metal and diffuses with it. its much stronger. doesnt chip like paint, doesnt really fade. its better for all year around with salt and snow and dirt. easier to wash. doesnt scuff or lose luster like...
the smaller the middle number the harder the ride is, less rubber doesnt cushion it as much. i have 245/40/R18s on my 18x8 wheels, 45mm offset, no rubbing :)
they use metal ones for a reason. its on top of the engine. come on, think logically. u can make a lid over one that looks cf, but not the entire thing
in reality, sure. look at what jesse james does and those hot rod shops. its doable. it will however cost a shitload. plus u will need to get an engine that will fit, relocate most of whats under the hood. probably make a whole new front end. all mounts brackets, tranny. its not worth it
once that spout is cut off, plus it with silicone or what you want. i used silicone gasket maker for mine and its been working fine. next thing you'll need to do it attach a silicone coupling to the throttle body. attach the elbow piece to it, put on the hose clamp on the throttle body but dont...
next order of business is you removing the stock intake pipes. you'll need a screwdriver set, phillips and flathead. some socket wrenches will help a lot. its not involved, just kinda uncomfortable when u get into the airbox to get the screws out. it shouldnt take you long. dont force things, if...
allright first off. you will need a small saw to trim one of the aluminum spouts on the longer piece of pipe. also get some silicone gasket maker in a tube, i used that to plug that hole. fitting the pipes will take some pushing, sweat and swearing on your end also. its really helpfull if u have...
Okay, bro! dont fret. i will give you a walkthrough with photos! :thumb: i know the pain u are feeling as it took me about 4.5 hours to fenagle my intake in. so here ya go! enjoy! hope this helps
wow, what are u ppl talking about? there is no such thing as a bass cutting capacitor. they call those "bass blockers" theyre little resistors, is all. a real capacitor is different. its made to accumulate a charge in it and let it out as the bass hits. it helps out with your electrical systems...
great, replace the old stuff, try for gaskets and bushings, stuff like that. it doesnt seem like much, but after its all done it really adds up, ya know? see if u can get urself an engine rebuild kit. it comes with a wide selection of smaller things that break down overtime, clean it all up real...
sheetmetal is cheap, but! you'd be a lot better off with getting a full CAI system. it costs more but its a lot better than sheetmetal or a short ram. the point is to get cooler air into the engine. short ram intakes a too short. they take the air right out of the engine compartment and thats...
i'd say that if u never pulled an engine, get it done in a shop or with somebody that knows how, get them to help. its an involved process. taking engines apart is not that simple. ur best bet is to get a shop that specializes in that sort of thing to look at it. im not telling u not to do it...
well not really, u can get that 4 to take off rather nice. it may need to do some serious work on it tho. first off its a '91, thats a concern. replacing the small hoses, lines and junk should be a first step. older stuff leaks, cracks, leads to loss of pressure and such. getting all that under...
yea 2Ga (95-97) dont fit into the 2Gb(98-99) cars without some modification, this is a commong thing actually. u can either get lights made for your car, trim everything around them and repaint or get fenders and a bumper to make it all fit. personally i'd just get the right year headlights...
The thicker gray covered cable you see under the mechanism is what unlocks the trunk when u pull the lever by the seat in the front. its marked with a green arrow in the photo attached. this is the cable that u want to find. you will need to remove the mechanism off the car to flip it over. find...
okay, first picture is the overall view. i dont think u will have to remove the side panels, just the center one. mine are out, im doing work on it in the back there. now, this is the overall view of the back. the rubber plug is a good place for you to run the cable through. its high enough not...
buying batteries like that is highly overrated. i dont think we require that level of work out of them, just keep the car maintained and u wont have to worry about going a number of miles with the alternator out. simple as that. im only going for a second battery in the trunk becuase im doing...
if u want to just have a battery under the hood, theres no sense in getting a super high end. just get a decent one. if u want to seriously upgrade and have one in the trunk thats a different story. plus it depends on what ur going to do with sound, how far into that u will go. how big the amps...
ok, here's a reply on topic. it is doable, i wouldnt recomend to do this but heres you go. u will have to remove the plastic paneling in the trunk. get a small steel cable and hook it up to the latch, route that cable down thru the floor or out of the vents that are in the sides. put a small...
yea, those seem to be stuck in there hard. drill them out with a proper bit. then break the leftovers with a chisel and put in new bolts, dont forget to put antiseize on things, just in case u will need to do something again and it will actually unscrew when u need it to. i've had some...
there is a way, u get bits made for metal and drill them the hell out, tap with a chisel to break whats left and take out the pieces then replace with new ones and cover them in anti-seize
i think its a lot better to take them off. cuz u'll be able to get to all the spots on it to clean it and paint it, it'll be even and stuff. just cap the lines with u unhook them and ur okay
well idk how they make those, but i have seen ones that look reddish and yellowish and so on, idk if its in the weave or the resin, but they have a color to them a bit, theyre just a little more than regular ones
allrighty, here we go. :) First picture is just a view from behind with the adjustment knobs circled. there is 4 in each corner. they have a long screw attached and a spring on that screw to push back against the knob. turn the knobs one way to tighten and move the corner and the other way to...
