  1. Show me your clean engine bays

Where did you relocate the fuse box (glove box?) and cruise control to?
  2. Modified water pipe?

I also tried searching for modified waterpipe threads. I would like to find out what the thread pitch is inside the port for the turbo coolant line on the water pipe. I would like to put an AN conversion fitting on it so I can put a braided hose on there instead of the bent hard line. Anyone...
  3. Best Tire and Size?

I saw several sets of those have similar problems. Mine did really well for whatever reason. We did product adjustments on the ones that got really low miles like that. The new version actually has a mileage warranty even for vehicles with staggered sizes which I haven't heard of another company...
  4. Best Tire and Size?

I have Goodyears on my Talon right now. They are the Eagle F1 All Seasons (have been discontinued). They are a directional tire and I was amazed at the traction (wet, dry and snow), steering response and handling. These are in need of replacing. I am putting on their replacement the Eagle F1...
  5. JMF Coil pack & A/C....I did it!!

I would love to be able to use this on my 2g with A/C but I don't have an aftermarket intake manifold. My setup is not ready for this yet. Don't have the funds either. lol Has anyone tried to make this work with a 1g intake manifold?
  6. 1G Reupholstery options?

When my 1g was still on the road I had my interior redone locally. I had everything inside redone for $1000. They were even able to ad some pass through seat grommets for racing harnesses later on if I wanted to add them. I was really impressed with how it all turned out. It looked brand new...
  7. Tune up tips

Welcome to the DSM world! If you haven't heard/found out yet it is a roller coaster ride! LOL They are a blast to drive but can be full of headaches too. I'm glad that you're asking about maintenance type stuff because keeping up with that stuff will make life easier down the road.For...
  8. Sick Dsm how do you fit rims like this on your 2ga or 2gb eclipse??

I need to know what wheels are on the blue-ish plasti-dipped car! I have got to get those for my car! Anyone know what brand? Model? Size? Offset? Etc?
  9. Full 3M 1080 Vinyl Wrap (PIC HEAVY)

I had my hood wrapped on my 1g when I worked for a sign company and had access to all the vinyl I wanted. Its a panda 1g talon and wanted to see what the hood and partial fenders would look like if I painted them black. I think it turned out great and would paint it that way in a heartbeat. I...
  10. my new toy

Sad to hear about such an amazing car! Good to hear that your friend made a full recovery. Any pictures of the colt afterwards? He was just driving along and lost control? Did he roll it? Loose control and run into something else? A full 8 pt. roll cage would have helped prevent some of...
  11. fast 14b

  12. my new toy

WOW! Great job with the 11.2 on 17psi! Once you get the bugs worked out how much boost are you planning on running? How's the rest of the car coming along? I was so surprised to see the update in my e-mail account. Thank you for the update!
  13. DONE! After the long expensive wait. My 2gb body restoration is complete

W O W !!! OMG Absolutely beautiful and definitely very creative! That's what I like to see. Someone took an already gorgeous car (2Gb Eclipse) and accented it just enough to make it look even better. Lowering is a must. Black roof: I'd have to see it photoshopped. Tints: With it being...
  14. my new toy

That makes total sense now. Thanks for answering my strange questions.I didn't doubt that for a second. I was just curious to the method behind the madness.
  15. my new toy

After looking at the photos again I realized you wouldn't need a smaller radiator to make that work. Your inlet/outlet are fine in conjunction with your radiator. I was just curious why not have them higher up so the piping is more of a straight shot in and out. I'm just...
  16. my new toy

peregrine, I'm kinda curious about your intercooler/piping. Why did you have the inlet/outlet positioned the way they are? It looks like you have some serious bends going on. A little smaller radiator with the intercooler inlet/outlet at the top would have made for much simpler and...
  17. my new toy

speedyrr16, very cool cars! i wish i had time and money for an oldschool project. i'm also really digging the hood ornament in the second picture (last post)! :D i need to get me one of those too. my only problem there is the same reason for no oldschool project. :coy:
  18. 1g Stock seats and Harness's

  19. 1g Stock seats and Harness's

I'll try to look around and find my receipt for the ones I bought. I can't remember who I bought mine from.
  20. my new toy

I think I need to move to Nevada. I think there's something in the water there that helps create these bad ass project cars! The progress on your car peregrine has been awesome to watch! I personally check my inbox several times a day hoping you've added a video of the beast...
  21. 1G DSMers: whats your suspension setup?

^^^^ Now this setup I'd like to see some pictures of! I'm interested in making my own strut tower bars. Any tips? I'd personally like to have a 3pt. strut bar front and rear. Needed? Probably not but if I'm going to be making my own why not?
  22. 1g Stock seats and Harness's

There was metal to be cut on mine as well. I didn't do the cutting however. The shop that did the re-upholstry cut the metal/seats in order for the grommets to work. The link provided on the 1st page talks about needing to cut the metal for the grommets to be installed.
  23. 1g Stock seats and Harness's

I think I found my new driver seat!!! :thumb: Now if I just had $2900.00! OMG Sparco S-Light Seat (Carbon Fiber):
  24. 1g Stock seats and Harness's

I'm pretty sure I'll go with 3 inch harnesses. I was really surprised at how the stock seats felt after the Tenzos. They don't have a lot of bolstering. They are more comfortable and easier to get in and out of. I plan on getting a really nice seat just for driving though. I'll probably put...
  25. 1g Stock seats and Harness's

Hey guys, I thought I'd bring a thread back from beyond the grave. I recently got my stock seats recovered and had grommets installed for my racing harnesses. I'm currently hoping to change my entire setup however. The black Tenzo R Rally seats are history, replaced with stockers redone in...
  26. my new toy

 I've been following this thread for a while and after the latest pictures I decided to officially subcribe. This is one crazy project! I'm waiting patiently for the day I can have a project like this! I have to daily drive mine right now though. :notgood: Anyway, I wanted to give...
  27. Urethane Bushing Help

    1. "You need to update your car profile. It would help with answering the question." ...... Sorry, I'll get right on that.2. "In general, bushing replacement is a very involved process." I understand that. My mechanic is saying I need to replace the front bushings of my front...
  28. Urethane Bushing Help

Hey guys,I searched but didn't really get the info I was after.I recently noticed that one of my front ball joints was in desperate need of replacing. I decided to have both front ball joints replaced. Urethane bushings and a manual steering rack were to be installed at the same...
  29. Thoughts on a Manual Rack

My car is currently having a manual rack put on. My power steering was shot and the manual was cheaper/easier/less leaks/etc. Anyway, I was wondering if there is anything that could be done to quicken the ratio of the steering to counter the problems that RamenPride brought up. I was reading...
  30. Concept 1g Rear End

I wonder what a wingless 1g would look like if the rear bumper cover didn't potrude out. That might give you a similar look for a lot less money. The only "problem" would be no rear bumper support. Just a thought.
  31. Throttle body rebuild

His is a 91 but mine is a 90 and I was planning on doing it soon too. What's different about the two and where would I find parts for mine?
  32. Throttle body rebuild

I did a quick search and didn't find what I was looking for. My friend is going to be getting his DSM up and running again, and part of the process is going to be cleaning his throttle body. I was needing to know if there were any parts like gaskets or o-rings that should be changed while we...
  33. I need some helpful opinions; Power Steering

I hope to have mine done in the next couple of months. No money!
  34. My New Paint Job!!

WOW!!! That looks great! Very beautiful paintjob. I was looking at the picture of just you hood and got to thinking. Since you painted part of your carbonfiber hood I wonder what it would've looked like if it was all painted except for the scoops. Everything but the two u shape...
  35. I need some helpful opinions; Power Steering

hey kxc36g, My car currently doesn't have working power steering either. Previous owner took off the pump. Why I'm not really sure but I've been driving this way for about a year or so. Driving it is possible but annoying. I have a parts car that I could swap the parts from. However, I'm...
  36. After market 1g Seats

I have Tenzo R Rally seats in my 1g. I got really lucky and found a set of Sparco brackets and sliders for a decent price. I then had to make the Tenzo seats fit the Sparco brackets and sliders. Still required fabricating, but not a whole lot. I'm pretty sure that corbeau sells 1g brackets...
  37. evo316g with big housing, w/ photoshoot

An o2 dump is a good way to get rid of boost creep. I think it sounds really cool, but I don't know if I'd be able to live with it on a daily driver. That and the housing is about the same cost wise of a cheap o2 dump. Anyway to each their own. I'm also interested in peoples results in spool...
  38. evo316g with big housing, w/ photoshoot

I e-mailed Bullseye Power in regards to the wastegate actuator not being able to keep the door shut. I got a very prompt response and several very quick follow ups. During the conversations it was mentioned that an upgraded wastegate actuator could possibly be made for a Mitsu compressor cover...
  39. Decent pair of strut bars

I used to have a RRE rear strut bar on a previous eclipse and I loved it. It was one of the most solid looking strut bars I've ever seen! It wasn't fancy looking but I didn't worry about any flexing from it. I'd like a bar like that for the front and rear of my 90. I know they make a rear...
  40. eliminating ABS [Merged 8-8] removing removal deleting delete take off

Arctic tsi did this and I believe he has part numbers on his website. www.arctic-racing.com You might check that out and if it doesn't have enough info give him an e-mail.
  41. looked at turbos, now I am all dizzy!!

I have a question because I'm after the same goal. 350-400hp 12sec street "sleeper". ;) I was wondering about an FP Green. I've heard that those are the king of pump gas (minus the ball bearing FP 30XX turbos). I was wondering how the internally gated greens are. Any problems with creep...
  42. oil supply for turbo

Hey guys, This is what I found at slowboy. http://www.slowboyracing.com/more.php?id=98& I drive a 90. This ones for a 2g, and I was wondering if this would do the trick with the 14b/16g option.
  43. oil supply for turbo

Hey guys. I've got a problem! The oil supply opening on my cylinder head stripped out. Then I had it helicoiled. When the line was to be reconnected we noticed that the helicoil job was crooked! Now I don't know what to do. The plan is to plug the cylinder head hole and supply oil...
  44. where can i get oem style replacement floor mats?

I don't know if anyone makes these for our cars, but my mom's expedition has a set of rubber mats in it. They are really nice and they hold onto dirt and debris. All you have to do is carefully pick them up and shake them out. If they get really dirty just spray them down at the car wash...
  45. 1G Refurb

WOW! Your work looks awesome! You're much more adventurous than I am. I got lucky and my interior panels are in pretty good condition. I just gave them a major cleaning. I did have the door panels (upper only), headliner, visors, and rear seats recovered. The front seats are black...
  46. 1g Center Vent ?

I hate those tabs! It always seems like you're going to tear up your center vents. Last time I took those out I'd never been so mad. Thank god for parts cars! ;) Anyone have any techniques on getting those out easier. Ya know kinda like the one handed bra removal technique...
  47. 1g Stock seats and Harness's

After reading the last post I have a question. I have a set of Tenzo R Rally seats with Sparco Clubman 4 pt harnesses. I have the lap belts hooked under the center console and where the retractor used to be for the outside lap belt. My question is about the shoulder harnesses. I have the...
  48. Really nice racing seat (Pics Included)

Flash, I wouldn't necessarily put them in "I learned the hard way" group. The ones I got are nice and only have a few complaints. If they hold up like they have been I probably will re-sell them. I have seen a similar pair that were red and they faded really bad. Mine are black and so are...
  49. Really nice racing seat (Pics Included)

Just some advice: You get what you pay for.I bought a set of Tenzo R Rally seats. They are nice, but the quality was a little disappointing. If I had it to do over I'd probably save a little while longer and get a nicer quality set of seats. This is just my take on buying seats. Those...
  50. DSM miles

This is by no means extra ordinary but I've got 130k on my 1990. She's still running like a champ. Its not super powerful either. That's going to change soon! :D The drivetrain right now is another story. I need to replace my u-joints and carrier bearings so I can start driving her...
