What would make my heater not blow hot? Now that its getting cold out ive noticed that my heater just doesnt blow hot. Could it be the thermostat? Any ideas would be appriciated.
My 95 AWD Talon has a sticker under the hood that says DSM, and I think that most of them where built in Normal, Ill which is a mitsu plant. But I could be wrong on the last part?
The steering on my 95 AWD talon seems to be loose. When I hit the brakes it seems like the car wants steer on its own and it shakes until i get slowed down. I know its not the rotors, Ive had warped rotors and its not grabbing at all. It also seems to be following lines in the road really...
Does anyone know where to find a shorter than normal canister style muffler so that I dont have to have it installed at a angle. All the dsm I see have the mufflers angled cause of the rear suspension.
Actually really simple, I used to do this to my 1g, there is a fuse in the drivers kick panel that controls the moters, not sure which one it is though, but pull it and the lights stay down.
actually pioneers only have one remote output. I think the little tag on the wire says power ant. but it is always powered when the deck is on so just hook it up to your and and you'll be fine.
The short story is when the bearing on the crank go bad and the crank starts moving(walking) back and forth and starts hitting the crank sensor. I dont think its a big problem for the non turbo, just do a search.
So what exactly is you question? What you read on the search is right, but you can have a AWD or FWD that can do 11 sec with enough money. If you are looking for an answer here, everyone will say go with and AWD and I would agree.
I would go to A.H.P, they have nice products and they are much cheaper than extreme or mach v.http://ahpproducts.bizland.com/ahpproducts.com/index.html
thanks phoenyx, finally someone whos not calling me a idiot for seeing if there are other options than the "guide". I am on my 3rd turbo dsm, and have read many different upgrade guides and was just looking to start off with a big purchase since I have a big tax refund coming. But I think now...
Oh, ive read all of the tuning guides, but who says you have to follow a guide, Ive always wanted a fmic but thinking maybe starting off with exhuast and o2 housing.
Would money be better spent in a exhaust system? What would you guys do to a stock a/t awd with $350? I have a walbero fuel pump to put in(when the weather get nicer). If I did the fmic, would i be able to turn up the boost, I also have a 1g bov waiting to go on.
I was thinking of spending my tax return on a AHP FMIC. All that I have done to the car now is the open air filter adapter. I was going to just get the upper and lower intercooler piping and hard intake, but that was a little over $400 and for $750 I can get the front mount that comes with new...
all you have to do is pull the knee panel off from under the column which is held on by 4 10mm bolts and to the drivers side of the steering column is a wire harness and the parking light wire is green with a white tracer. also you can ground the gauges to the underdash around the same area.
Ok, I have a 95 AWD talon A/T with 55,000 orginal miles. Ive heard the sound clip of what crankwalk sounds like, the woodpecker like noise. I have a similar noise that showed up recently but it only does it between 1500 and 2000 rpms. Inside the car its noticable but when listining in the...
http://www.streetimports.com/homepage.htm, This isnt where I got mine. I actually found mine in the phone book from a place called japanese engine exchange. But this place has the same stuff for the same price, plus you get a tranny, all I got was the engine and turbo, which went out in about...
I didnt see anywhere where he said he wanted an evo III engine. I've ordered two JDM engines and they worked just like the U.S. engine. The first one had metal shavings in the oil pan and the company sent me a new one no question. I would just go with a JDM engine if I was you.
Actually, I dont think that you do have a tranny worth rebuilding. Talk to anyone who knows anything about dsm trannies and they'll tell you that the parts in that year are too small and will end up breaking again and by the time you make it right, you could have a brand new tranny.
Just wondering if any here has ever personaly put one of these kits in a 2g AWD. I was thinking of getting this kit and doing myself, but ive never been in the tranny. Ive seen the FAQ about the install and its looks straight forward, just getting the valve body out. If anyone has had a shop...
Is this for a Twin Turbo setup? http://www.nopionline.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=dsppartdetail&vmakeid=250&vmodelid=015&vcatyear=1995&vnopinum=204%2B0178&vTitle=1995%20MITSUBISHI%20Eclipse%20Turbo/Nitrous/High%20Performance%20Turbo/Turbo%20Upgrade&vaffid=0
I called TRE and talked to the main man there for like an half hour why he didnt want to rebuild my 90 GSX tranny. Something like some of the parts they used where smaller and useless to rebuild because they just dont hold up. He said just by a new tranny, and I dont think he was just trying...
I have a 95 Talon TSI AWD a/t and sometimes when I'm driving it just downshifts for no reason. It doesnt do it at highway speeds, usually around 40mph or so. If I speed up again it shifts back into O/D. Just wondering if this is normal?
thanks

Im suprised that no one has sad any thing about not running your car hard when its cold. I did that with my first DSM and replaced the turbo a few months later. Nothing like starting up the frozen DSM and flooring it around town with the extra pull. But you have to let the car warm up before...
Remember, 90-91 you are probably going to have to have the tranny rebuilt, take it on the highway, let it get nice and hot then try shifting in to second.
