I am interested in a 3kgt version. I had one made for my car and apparently the pinion angle is wrong and I am getting a driveline vibration because of it. Would love to talk to you about it.
Yes, I will post some updates in the coming months. I had hoped to have it and the track last month and back at the shootout this week. However I dislocated my shoulder pretty bad and am recovering from a motorcycle accident that happened the weekend we had a private testing at the track here...
I recently ordered this and it shipped from FP yesterday but since then changed my mind and ordered a red, it's and internally gated 56mm stock appearing HTA68. It arrives here Monday, got it with the oil line and was 949 plus shipping. $800 OBO shipped, so I do t have it sitting on a shelf in...
So at the end of last year and the beginning of this year I attempted to take the car out, on both occasions it broke the spider gears in the rear end. I let it sit for a while and decided the best course of action was to take weight out of the car and to upgrade to a larger rear end, the...
Unfortunately things didn't go as planned at the shootout but should be sorting it out in a few weeks. Car has me very excited after the one half pass we made.
Making more progress, front end on have to build the inlet for the turbo and modify the exhaust to exit again. Lots happening this week getting close to track ready again.
Haha, slowly recovering from it. 4505 is on the car, new three piece front end supposed to ship today. Need to dyno with the new turbo to confirm everything but it's over 100* right now and miserable. Hope to be done and at the track in two weeks.
Its up in the air until I know its dialed in. If its ready by then there is a IFO in Commerce Ga 3/22, the following weekend it a shootout in Farmington NC to play with some of the big SWF guys. After that it will depend on whats out there on the east coast stuff.
Looks good man, hope it holds up. I haven't heard of Devin breaking any ring and pinions since the switch just a axle at MIR. I have a cobra IRS 8.8 here when I break another ring and pinion. Figure at least that way I get the option of some real spools and not welded gears.
Dash is in!Now just need to wire in the boost controller and put it back on the dyno for the final tune and we should be ready for some track testing finally........two years later!
Last dyno on the new motor was still on link as I wanted to see what the changes netted without adding the ecu as a factor.
The setup, I have a friend here and sponsor who is very versed in the use of the motec so he looked at my SD table in link and quickly came up with a map and car ran...
I had my machinist set it up so not sure what shims he used. I would have to pull the sheet but seems like they ended around 140lb on the seat.Yeah 145/295
I had the launch control on before I tore it down, but it has a triple in it more do it will have to be readjusted. The pistons were flat tops with big reliefs, compression came to 10.5:1, previous motor was 9.5:1. Thanks for the kind words, working on weight right now and will time it by next...
The only complaint people usually have about Motec is price. It however always works and does some crazy stuff once you get into it. I will be putting a motec dash in the car too or a AIM will add even more capabilities.
Where to begin, blew it all apart to paint the engine bay. While it was apart decided it was time to put the drysump setup on the motor and try a better clutch option to make it launch more consistently.Magnus TripleMagnus drysumpReassembly time...
The road to 1000hp is not a hard one if you know what your are doing but it can be a very expensive one. Making the power is the easier part, setting it up to make it all work is the longer harder part.
