  1. Water Pump install and rumbling

Well here's the dealThe mechanic says he checked everything and everything is fine and that he didn't feel a rumble. Of course, he doesn't know how the car drove before, so he has nothing to compare it to. I just told him as long as his work is okay, I'll let it be. It's warrantied for a...
  2. Water Pump install and rumbling

Thanks, Now I just have to try and get this info to the mechanic. I am capable of doing the work, but the way I see it is, it was running fine (with the exception of the water pump) when I took it in and I feel like they should be responsible for fixing it!!!!!!Thanks again
  3. Water Pump install and rumbling

Alright, I will try and make a long story short. I took my 95 gst to a local shop to have the water pump replaced and spent mega bucks and waiting time to get it back. When I get it back the car is out of time. The mechanic put the cams back to the factory mark instead of his original marks. It...
  4. Suspension Bushings

Thanks for the input guys. My car is already lowered. I just need the bushings! That whole "curplunk, chank, rattle, shift, pop" noise every time I hit a bump is driving me crazy!
  5. Suspension Bushings

I have definitley considered that and as a matter of fact I think that is the route I'm going to go. Where is the best place to buy polyurethane bushings? Thanks again
  6. Suspension Bushings

Where can I get rear suspension bushings for a 95 gst? I've got fairly good shocks and I know that my bushings are "shot". The dealer told me I could not buy the bushings and that I would have to buy the whole control arm and trailing arms in order to get the bushings. Certainly I can get the...
  7. Whats do u think ?

It sounds like you knew more than you thought! As for the slave cylinder. I haven't tackled that project yet. I do know it is about 40 bucks at the mitsu dealer and its down near the tranny. What's in its way, I don't know, but I think you have the capability, since you did the mc!
  8. Whats do u think ?

Another question? Did you replace the resevior or the MC itself. The actual MC is bolted to the firewall! It may just be the MC if you replaced only the resevior. You'll probably still be getting fluid down on the pedal still also!
  9. Whats do u think ?

That is indeed your master cylinder. (with the resevior on it). If you've had the mc replaced it sounds like the slave's gone. I replaced just my mc, but I think my slave is on its way. I heard if you're gonna do one, do the other. But in my case, I didn't have the money or the patience at the time.
  10. Whats do u think ?

That does sound like a faulty cylinder. Have you had to refill it anytime recent? If it is the master cylinder I think you could probably do it yourself. If you're up to it. I paid 125 dollars for my master cylinder and got in in about 45 minutes! And I bought it from the dealer. Hey Clipz99...
  11. yet another ecu ques

I just got cauht up. I was checking my email and saw the post. I will check those code errors too and if I come up with the same thing I can try and help you figure it out. Hang tight and I'll check and see what the codes say. I thinking right off though. Fuel pump relay, and there is a way to...
  12. Clutch probs and ticking under valve cover area.

Mine's been doing it since day one too and I have never heard of this. I will definitley try it and let you know what happens! Thanks again!
  13. Any electrical guys... HELP!

I forgot to mention. If you want it I have a wiring schematic for the power windows. Let me know if you would like to see it!
  14. Clutch probs and ticking under valve cover area.

Thanks man. I'm gonna try that. I'll let you know what happens:thumb:
  15. Any electrical guys... HELP!

Dude I think the motor is burnt up if it was smoking. But no big deal. I believe all the fuses are the same. I had my pass window quit but the drivers side switch was the problem not the motor. The switches go through the drivers side switch before going to the pass side. I found out the hard...
  16. Clutch probs and ticking under valve cover area.

My 95 gst does the ticking thing, but only when its cold weather. I have 140k miles and no crankwalk either. Had a crank position sensor put on last year and had the crank checked then and it was ok. My clutch was messing up just like your saying. Except I was getting fluid leaking down on my...
  17. 1G Leaking Capacitors on ECU...

Sorry about that, I must of been a little mistaken. I do know that computers built after 95 don't have capacitors. I was under the assumption that all 2g's (except early production 95's) were non-EPROM and all 1g's were due to the capacitors.Maybe there is something I don't know. Do you guys...
  18. yet another ecu ques

I must correct myself. A cel code isn't all that to get worked up about. Don't ignore it. But it doesn't exaclty mean anything catastrophic!
  19. yet another ecu ques

I didn't think you said the oil light came on until the car died. Driving with the cel light on is something to be all that worked up about. I mean yeah get it checked out, but I've had cel lights on cars for a while. I mean at least you were headed that way! The weird thing is with the oil...
  20. ECU went bad, WHY?

Early 95 models had eprom ecus likr the 1st gens and the capacitors will leak on the circuit board if they are not replaced in due time. Why the injector is stuck open is definitely a mystery. I'd like to know what you find out about that.
  21. 1G Leaking Capacitors on ECU...

It's definitley an eprom. If it wasn't, it wouldn't have capacitors. I would try an just replacing them and cleaning it up and see if works. If not, then look into getting a new ecu.
  22. yet another ecu ques

The reason I said clear them was to see if there is a real problem. They will come back if there is! I've had two codes come on after a reset and had them cleared and been running fine now for about 10k mikes. (knock on wood). I agree resetting it was not a good idea, but I managed to save...
  23. yet another ecu ques

When you put a new ecu on your car it was basically like re-setting the ecu and anytime you reset the ecu, your car will not act right for about a couple of days, sometimes a week or so, because your ecu is "learning your car". With your car being a 95 its possible that the new ecu is reading an...
  24. Post your sputter, mis-fire, buck, stutter, etc...

Here's something a little different! Mine was studdering under acceleration due to a boost leak. When I would acclecerate hard in second and third it would studder till about 4500 to 5000. After uip and 1g bov put on and new hoses, the problem was solved. At least for now. I made the error of...
  25. Please Tell Me Its Not Getting Crankwalk!! [it wasn't]

Have you ever bled brakes? It's the same concept. You have to get all of the air out of the clutch lines. There is a little "nipple" on the bottom of the tranny. You have someone get in the car, meanwhile your waiting to "unscrew" the bleeder. As you unscrew it have the person in the car push...
  26. Please Tell Me Its Not Getting Crankwalk!! [it wasn't]

Yep again,I just had to replace my master cylinder on mine. I actually felt the fluid on the pedal. I ended up replacing the whole thing. Satan charged me 118 for the cylinder and I replaced it in about 30 minutes. Had my wife help me bleed it! There's a "how to" with pics somewhere. I can't...
  27. 2g prices?

Find out what a local bank will loan on it. Don't pay anymore than that. Most banks use NADA (the middle figure usually Retail/Loan/Trade-in) Talk em down, they'll give. I have a 95 gst with a little higher milage, well a lot higher milage and it lists about 6000 (last I checked). Also, verify...
  28. car trying to stall while moving - any ideas?

The first thing I'd do is get a battery and clean the terminals real well. This could be a problem of the battery. I had a problem with my car shuddering during acceleration and after my battery died, I cleaned the terminals and installed a new battery and my car started running well again. A...
  29. read codes... w/o a scanner?

If they can't really clear them then its not really a loss anyway. You need to clear them and wait for the codes to come back to determine if you have a problem anyway. Damn, I'd really just like to have that pocketlogger. Maybe the next item on my list after, uh everything else!
  30. read codes... w/o a scanner?

You have to be cautious about resetting the computer. When I reset mine that's when I got a bunch of cel codes. As your car gets older, when you reset it, it will also take a few days of driving to get your computer to get the idle and stuff right again. It's best to have the cleared through the...
  31. read codes... w/o a scanner?

I was curious about them clearing them. Now I know.Hell by the time I pay 40 bucks a visit for 4 visits to a car shop I could buy a pocket logger! I may just do that now.
  32. read codes... w/o a scanner?

jrivard00You mean to tell me Auto Zone will do it for free?! I paid 40 bucks to have mine read and cleared. I wish I'd have known this sooner. But hey, maybe next time huh
  33. read codes... w/o a scanner?

I'm not quite sure and don't quote me on this, but it seems like I heard somewhere that that only works on the non-turbo cars, because the ecu is different. I know this procedure doesn't work for me. You are probably going to have to go and get it checked and cleared. (If it can be cleared!)...
  34. Car Wobbles While Driving

Hey, Did you get a Camber correction kit on the car you got rid of.? just wondering. I noticed you got another gst. If you lower the car more that an ince you're going to definitley get a camber kit. My 95 gst had the same problem, except the rear was wobbling more. Typically the porblem is...
