  1. 1Ga Owners i am BACK CARBON FIBER 1GA LIP

True, I wish it came out a little farther to make it look a little more aftermarket, but its still real clean. Im just curious on the cost...
  2. 1Ga Owners i am BACK CARBON FIBER 1GA LIP

Do you have any idea how much theyre gonna be?
  3. 1Ga Owners i am BACK CARBON FIBER 1GA LIP

Is this a one-off or are you planning on selling these?
  4. New dump tube through the bumper! Vid!

An open dump sounds absolutely nothing like an N/A car with no exhaust. It all comes down to preference though- some are balls out and don't care who knows and some are significantly more modest about things. I just tend to stand on the opposite of the spectrum.
  5. New dump tube through the bumper! Vid!

The flame piece is rice- it looks like it came straight out of APC's summer catalog from 1999. And if you're looking for a nice quiet car by recirc'ing your dump tube sell your DSM, buy a Lexus, and enjoy the classiness. DSMs should sound like nothing less than ass- and if they sound more...
  6. SOLID front/rear aluminum motor mounts!

BIGLADY how can I get in touch with you to get a set of these? Please PM your info ASAP so I can Paypal you and get the ball rolling- these mounts look like exactly what I need for my FWD 1G build!
  7. Products the DSM crowd would like to see made

Im in for the c/f sunroof plug with or without latches- preferably with though. Also how about a rear sway bar for 1G fwd that will actually fit with a 3" exhaust? That would be a part I'd be extremely interested in.
  8. Products the DSM crowd would like to see made

+1 on that one too. I cant believe I didnt think of that earlier, but thats a great idea.
  9. safely run mid 20's psi

It would definitely be a bit easier to run that much boost safely if you had DSMLink vs the SAFC2 you have listed in your profile.
  10. Products the DSM crowd would like to see made

+1 for any hard to find or NLA OEM pieces- that fit close to OEM of course. I would love to replace a few trim pieces on my car without having to rummage through junked and salvaged DSMs.Also, I know this was mentioned in a previous thread started by HiRev, and also earlier in this thread...
  11. Products the DSM crowd would like to see made

Traction bars for FWD 1Gs. Not sure if they make them for a 2G but it would be nice to have some additional bracing to help with drag racing. I know these are pretty easily available for Hondas/Acuras.
  12. My 1992 AWD Drag Talon build!

ihatedsms,Just curious, what exactly do you use as a seal/weatherstripping around your sheet metal work? Ive just recently started working with sheet metal myself and I cant seem to find that exact rubber trim at my local home supply stores. Thanks.
  13. Front axle circlips on 2G DSX

There is a C clip that holds the knuckle onto the outer spline of the axles. The boot then goes on over the knuckle, which is also held on by a small and a large clamp. From what I can tell you not all axles will have the C clips but all of the OEM replacement DSM axles Ive worked with have had...
  14. Which coil overs should I buy ?

KSports all the way. Great quality with advanced features- especially for their price range. I have the D2s and I love them but they're basically the same exact coilover from the same parent company as KSport. Save the extra money and go with the Kontrol Pros and you wont be disappointed. :thumb:
  15. Fic660 & Safc2

I had basically the exact same setup on my car for about 6 months or so and it worked great with an Evo3 16G. The tune was by no means "maxed out" at either end (both conservative and aggressive) and still had room for adjustment. I only got rid of it in favor of DSMLink for the additional...
  16. New dump tube through the bumper! Vid!

If you have link and are dumping the wastegate gases to the atmosphere its very possible. Spyder4g64's car has an OEM Mitsu internal gate on it.
  17. New dump tube through the bumper! Vid!

Here's a pic of the plate installed on the front bumper. I believe he ended up using a spare MAF plate after realizing it would fit nicely. It's a bit dirty in this pic...lol...and it's not a close up but it's the best I have right now.I'm not sure why but I can't find any under hood...
  18. Help Me With This Part...

Hmmmmmmm... this confuses me even more then. I have all of the ground wires that you listed, and the small bracket that grounds the throttle body to the intake mani as well. But this wire I posted above is really racking my brain... especially since it seems that it may not be a stock wire at all.
  19. Help Me With This Part...

I'm about 99.9% positive its off of the car. I found it in the garage with some other parts that I had taken off of the stock manifold and throttle body, which is leading me to believe that this may be where it came from. I have no idea for certain though where it might have come from when it...
  20. Help Me With This Part...

I need some help with identifying exactly what this part is, where it goes, and what purpose it serves. I just finished installing my JM Fab SMIM and ported TB, and I found this laying around the garage. SO I'm a little concerned that I left this off when swapping parts. Any help you all can...
  21. Pictures of my friends, and my cars.

I think he was talkin about Dan's Sube lookin ike a 4x4 next to your car. Will do on the pix tho.
  22. Blowing MPI Fuse... HELP!

:nono: :notgood: :shhh: :coy:BTW- Why's your profile still say N/T Spyder???? Hmmmmmmm... you lie like a rug!
  23. Blowing MPI Fuse... HELP!

GS DEWD- Thanks for your reply. I actually had that on my checklist of things to do today before I stepped into the garage. I did, however, locate my problem earlier today and was able to fix it as well. After drawing a blank from my searches and post here I decided to venture over to good...
  24. Pictures of my friends, and my cars.

I bought the car a few years back from a local guy from Milford, here in CT. It had just over 70k original miles on it and had just a few very basic bolt-ons at the time.
  25. Blowing MPI Fuse... HELP!

Where's all the wisemen??? I can't be the first person to experience this... any ideas at all?
  26. Pictures of my friends, and my cars.

lol... not bad Doug E. Fresh. I haven't seen you around in a while. How's the ride treatin you? I heard a local dude bought the black and silver- sad to see that beast go to someone else though.
  27. Pictures of my friends, and my cars.

Thanks. Yes sir- the blue SRT-4 belongs to my brother. It was just purchased earlier this summer.
  28. Pictures of my friends, and my cars.

Thanks :thumb: I appreciate that. Now if I could only get the electrical issue I've had for 2 months now taken care of I could enjoy drivin it again. :sosad:and DSMUNKNOWN... that rear belongs to yours truly, and although I do believe you, not many can rival its bushiness. lol :barf:
  29. Blowing MPI Fuse... HELP!

The car does have a Walbro 190lph fuel pump on it, but it has been rewired with a relay and an inline fuse. The inline fuse for the pump has been checked routinely since all of these problems began and it is fine.Aside from the rewired fuel pump, the car also has the following for...
  30. Pictures of my friends, and my cars.

Here is a more current pic of my car and a shot of the turbo Del Sol (its D16 engine is shown above):
  31. Pictures of my friends, and my cars.

The GTI is a '00 1.8T. It has front and rear Euro bumpers with OEM 4-motion lips molded onto the front and rears as well. The sideskirts are OEM from a 20th anniversary GTI. As Spyder4G64 mentioned the car did have a very hacked front bumper, but had been replaced before this picture with the...
  32. Blowing MPI Fuse... HELP!

I also just wanted to add a link to some pics that I took of the mods I performed as I explained above. Sometimes it's a bit difficult to explain certain things, and I also thought this may help out if anyone could see anything that didn't look right...
  33. Blowing MPI Fuse... HELP!

So I'm at my wits' end here folks, and I was hoping all of you could give me a huge hand in possibly diagnosing this problem. I replaced my stock 1G intake mani with a JM Fab unit 2 months ago and did some other minor mods in the process. I removed my charcoal cannister, replaced my Optima...
  34. how to take the bottom bolts off the intake manifold. PLEASE HELP

Removing the uicp, battery, and battery tray helped with my 1G. Beyond that I just took of the injectors, fuel rail, etc for more space. Simply reaching under the mani with this stuff off did the trick for me.
  35. K SPort COilovers ???

JTM...My reference to the KSports in comparison to the GCs was based more on streetability/ride comfort than handling properties in an auto-x arena. I only have personal experience with GCs paired with AGXs and I was less than impressed with this setup. It works well for someone wanting to...
  36. K SPort COilovers ???

Very good quality coilovers, especially for the price. I have the D2s (virtually the same as KSport) on my fwd 1G and my friend has the KSports on his awd 1G. We both love em for comfort and handling. The ride height is seperately adjustable from the spring tension so you wont lose suspension...
  37. New Talon TSI I Just Picked Up For 600.00

Sounds like an awesome pickup man. 170 comp across the board is very nice at 150k miles. As mentioned above, make sure you you take care of regular maintenance so that you know everything is changed and fresh from the start. At a $600 purchase price you can have the car in excellent runnng...
  38. Engine Bay [Merged 7-7] cleanup clean up unclutter tidy neat

Sounds like it could be very nice as long as its not over-done. Indeed this is a popular practice on Hondas and also VWs. I'm very curious to see how this will turn out. Be sure to post some pics now and as you progress along. :dsm:
  39. Exhaust Manifold : SBR Vs FP

I personally have had nothing but good luck with Slowboy. That being said, however, I've been a member of this forum for a while now and have not invested as much money as many folks here have with SBR, and I have read the many horror stories. I can only speak from personal experience. A very...
  40. Carbon fiber headlight covers.

Not sure on the difference in the weave, but I can tell you that I wasn't happy at all with my hood from this shop. The fitment was very poor and the hood was put in bubble wrap too quickly after it was cleared so you can see small circles in the clear coat under certain lighting. The headlight...
  41. 50 trim not that fast. please bring some ideas.

Before You Reply:3. Don't try to help if you don't know the answer - bad advice can be worse than no advice (no "I think" or "I guess" or "I've heard").I'm sorry to say it, but your last 2 comments have been sad sad excuses for any useable kind of advice. The DSM community and the sport...
  42. 50 trim not that fast. please bring some ideas.

98eclipseRS, thank you for responding to this thread and adding some factual knowledge to the situation. I definitely had my suspicions about the comment this guy made about the Tnetcs turbos, but I'm still pretty much a novice when it comes to turbo dynamics and characteristics. I guess your...
  43. 50 trim not that fast. please bring some ideas.

Just an idea that just crossed my mind. A local DSMer around here who is pretty highly respected once told me that he would never go with a Turbonetics 50 trim because their turbine setups are much less efficient than comparable Garret ones. He went on to tell me that from his experience for...
  44. 50 trim not that fast. please bring some ideas.

Thanks man- this was my first season at the track and it's been a learning experience and a half...with alot more learnin to do. I agree with you 100% about traps- I'd love to break into the 11s one day- but who wouldn't. My realistic goal is to hit 112 mph traps- now that's somethin worth...
  45. 50 trim not that fast. please bring some ideas.

One of my much more less impressive runs got me a 14.1...at 109 mph. :( Now that's FWD for you- all top end, less weight, but not a damn thing havin to do with traction off the line. lol :thumb:
  46. Alternative to Recommended Oil Filter Housing Feed

So I'm installing a 50 trim in my friend's 1991 Talon and i have all of the s/s lines to pull oil from the correct bolt on the oil filter housing. However, afer finding the recommended bolt (with the allen head) we did the unthinkable- yes, we rounded the head of this bolt by mistake. So, at...
  47. High Knock After 5500+ RPM

byondevl- That's exactly what Gman and I have been thinking. The numbers just don't seem to make sense in relation to each other. I'm starting to get concerneed about exactly what's going on here... :(
  48. High Knock After 5500+ RPM

OK I have just started tuning my 1g the other day after installing FIC 650s. My fuel setup also includes stock 1G MAS , re-wired 190 FP running stock fuel pressure. I am running a ported and clipped Evo 3 16g and did all of my tuning so far running as low boost as possible spiking at around...
  49. 190LPH and a wet shot?

I was actually thinking of doing the same thing with my setup. I have a 190 pump with 650 injectors however. Would you still be concerned running the larger injector size?
  50. Installed my evo 8 front mount [Merged 7-8] ic intercooler fmic

Thanks for the advice and the concern for my wallet. :thumb: I never said that the core you suggested wasn't a good deal or wasn't worth the money you spent- it seems great and I appreciated the suggestion. However, I have read nothing but great things about Spearco cores, while I've heard...
