piecing a kit together would be your best option. there are several writeups on here that can guide you in the right direction. feel free to me if you have any specific questions
Sorry guys. I rarely log in here. Since this we have made it to 795whp. We maxed out our e boost 2 boost controller. The car went to the track, with all the bugs not worked out and several issues we pulled an 11.2 @139.5. Sadly the throttle shaft broke on this pass and we had some valve train...
Well guys we have finally broke the 420a hp record. The prior record was set by dsmzero making 661 whp in a 63mm turbo and haltech. We are running the world's first 420a to run an Evo ecu and flash for tuning. We put down 705 spinning on the dyno over here at powertech. ARH autpmotive built the...
I just got done working on it. It was the crower 2 cams. I went to a local yard pulled a set of stockers and threw them in and the car ran fine. I will be calling crower on tuesday to see if they will stand up to their name. Thank you guys for the input! You all steered me in the right direction
Well I have been a member of this community for a very long time. I have been through about 5 different setups on my car and am no novice when it comes to building cars. I have ran into a problem that has me and all of my good friends/techs stumped. Im running a built 420a turbo. I recently...
same exact thing happened to me and destroyed my ss valves. I would just think it was bad luck.... dont blame the shop. I would just go to the local u pull it and grab a head. there are plenty of write up's on how to do this job... if not buy a repair manual and get to it! I would also recommend...
i have a breather can setup as well on my car. I have the pcv eliminated. what your noticing is normal. I found a thread on honda-tech about it being pretty much a mix of any kind of oil and moisture that may make its way into your crankcase vaporizing and getting caught in the can like it...
I think some type of machining is wrong on my obx diff since i cant get the drivers side axle far enough in to stop my axle seal leak so a viable alternative to the quaife and obx would take a chunk out of my bank account. I am sick and tired of dealing with this obx pos. I would also like to...
well all in all im happy. I got to the dyno late after swapping my wastegate out for a tial and talked my buddy darryl into staying late so i could get a couple runs:D. My buddy/tuner didnt have a chance to mess with timing so we are still very conservative on timing. We dialed afrs in and...
i think i am one of the OG's of using that turbo.... i love it! Fast spooling and pulls like amtrak top end. I will PM you shortly if everything goes smoothly with my new manifold
It is a bottom mount manifold. Me and mike worked out a package deal on his intake manifold and and replicating my exhaust manifold... I will leave it up to him if he wants to release details. The turbo u made this jig for is a gt3076r. My old manifold is currently on the car.... it might be...
well it is based off of my bojangles manifold so fitment should be on point. I created a jig and sent it to mike so he could fill in everything in between. as soon as he gets done welding it i will double check the fitment.
there is no stock ecu anymore. My msns ecu is in my glovebox. I relocated my fuse box against the frame rail in front of the drivers side splash guard.
nah... i got a little happy with timing during street pulls with the last setup and blew it before i hit the dyno :notgood:. Oh well you live and you learn! Right after I break this motor in I am heading straight to the dyno. Most of the changes are going to be visual changes of the engine bay...
you guys are gonna make me do something crazy!!! I will have pics of the new setup soon. I dropped my VC off to get my an fittings welded in, I am waiting on a new tob to come in and Building new intercooler pipes.
ROFL Hey man that turbo fits my needs perfectly! You better talk to mike about building a replacement for that obx in advance so you dont have any down time! :p
 Im waiting! I just picked up my fresh block today and will be assembling it through out the week. I have made a couple changes that are gonna set this thing off! I appreciate the kind words chris! :thumb:
One thing to remember is I am not running a factory ecu or harness at all. I am running MSnS as a full standalone. I have a ballerific breather tank from B&R fittings and a custom aluminum coolant tank but I am just being lazy on the install! I will be waiting on you Blitz
