Hey guys. I was just wandering if there were any meets coming up. I will be home the 20th through the 3rd. I need to adjust my timing then I think my car will be good to go, if not I can drive my shitter.

I have a 1993 plymouth laser RS turbo AWD. It was pretty cool at first. About 6 months after I bought it the bottom end crapped out. Not sure what was wrong with it but it had a really bad knock. I bought a 6-bolt bottom end for $300 that had 130k miles on it and rebuilt it. The laser's are...
I bought my car in January. When I bought it the tires were almost bald and they didn't work vary well. Now I have Nitto 450's and they mainly are only good for dry pavement. If you drive safe though you should be fine.

I think the crack is your problem. I had a couple cracks in my manifold. In first gear under full boost the car didn't pull very hard, then when I shifted into second it would start to pull.

If you let your car run for like a minute after driving hard then you probably don't need a turbo timer. A turbo timer is more of a luxury item.

Does anyone know how much the dodge avenger rims weigh. When I bought my car it had avenger rims I believe they are from a 95 or 96. They are the same size as stock dsm rims. They are 5 stars and they say dodge on them. If anyone can tell me or find a link that would be cool.

I think that you would win. MKII's run like a 14.8 which is only .1 sec. better than a 2g. Since you have mod's I would go for you. Of course it also depends on driver skill.

I think they have 8.8 to 1 compression. I think that the hp, torque, and turbo are the same as the evo 8's, but I wouldn't put money on my word.

Sounds like you are launching right to me. If you drop the clutch it will bog down. You should slip it so you don't break anything. If you smell clutch, don't worry, that will happen when you are slipping it.

A small amount of early 95's had the 6-bolts. While there were a few 1G's with 7-bolts stock.
See there is a guy telling me that 6 bolt motors were put in all 1g DSM's, because I told him I swapped a 6 bolt into my 93. I am trying to tell him that in april of 92 DSM's went to 7 bolt motors. I...
MKII is definatly my fav. If you could find an S13 with a trunk that would be awsome. If you could get one for cheap then you could go for the SR20DET.

Hey everyone. I don't know if anyone remembers me, I posted on here along time ago. I finally got my new motor in, but now I'm at Wyotech. I won't be out of here til June. Maybe after that I will be able to come to some meets with you guys.

Good job meef. i graduate this weekend. On a diiferent topic is anyone planning on going to the dsm bash on July 20. just thought i would see cause hopefully my laser will be done by then and it would be cool to go.

I would say external, not because of the cool sound, but because of the less amount of gases that are going through the exhaust. I remember one site that said they gained .2 seconds off their quarter mile time.

I don't know if there is any difference between the engine, but I would say that the 4g63 is better because it is made by mistsu and not chrysler.

were you racing from a stop or a role? You should race from a role with a fwd then you'll have more of an advantage. I also don't know how you drive, but if you are losing to cars like those you need to learn more.

It would damage the tranny, but not the engine. as for the MT being able to do it. On a manual tranny the only thing you will prolly do is fry the clutch.

How are the rings on those pistons? I'd assume I'd have to get new rings, and set the endgap on them for my specific engine. A good tip that someone told me is that you should get rings for an oversize from your pistons and then file them down to fit, so you have a better leakdown. Got any...
well I thought it was kinda fishy too so I emailed them to ask if they were forged or not and they say that all ross pistons are forged. Why they sell them for so cheap I don't know, and noslaser is an ass, and i don't do drugs.
~Joker
import performance parts just look under the sponsors link, then go to import performance parts, then go to pistons. ross stock sized forged pistons with rings sell for $359.
~Joker
I'm looking for a set of stock sized forged pistons for my 1990 motor. I have found ross pistons for $359 brand new, just wandering if there are any cheaper ones.
