  1. O-Ring type for Power Steering Pump?

http://www.jnztuning.com/product_info.php?cPath=21_684&products_id=3206I tried a universal one once. Ended up getting the whole kit and doing a reseal. Been great for 6 years.
  2. Your most recent welding pics

    Thank you for that info.
  3. Your most recent welding pics

I've been looking more and more at pulling the trigger on a Dynasty 200DX. Seems there is just a lot of good feedback for it and has the size and features that I feel could be useful for me for a long time. Did you just need a bigger machine in going with the 280?
  4. ISO 1G GSX rear seat delete kit

You can probably call up carpet companies to order a roll of carpet. Many, many years ago I picked up some stuff from Home Depot which was a thin indoor/outdoor marine carpet which had a simple rubber backing. Not too heavy. I ran a length from firewall to rear wall and used only the plastics...
  5. Cannot find part new anywhere!

http://millerimportparts.com/ Give him a call, tell him what you need. They are a DSM parts yard. You shouldn't need a "new" assembly. I'm guessing you're building a car or swapping and need it?
  6. Digital speedometer

No clue, just one from the shop I was at. Only difference I know of is between auto and manual. This goes back many, many years.
  7. 1G Upgrade fuel line, remove stock line?

I removed it all and replaced it all. Hate rust.
  8. Used Ignition Switch and Key or New Key from Dealer?

I would call the closest dealer and ask. If so run down there with your title and have them cut a couple of keys for you.
  9. Portable Car Garages

Mine was bigger then that. If fit a full size van in it, so your size should be fine, I think my other was that size. Can't remember the dimensions. I still have it.Here's a tip, at the peak of the roof you may want to put some foam tape. If the tarp splits, its going to be at any one of...
  10. Portable Car Garages

Like this? This pic is probably at least 10 years old. I just picked up my first dsm with a blown engine and was swapping another in there. After that you could run a heater inside, but if its a sunny day it wouldn't be too bad inside. This garage was from a company called, "cover-it" They...
  11. FS: 2g race seats and rear seat black

    Sold, this can be deleted.
  12. Pop Goes the Coolant Bottle Cap

I had an issue where my coolant would go low and bottle would be empty. Couldn't figure it out and found the cap had a blockage in it. I would just check that you can blow through the line going to the cap. Once the cap was cleared, no coolant issues.
  13. Stainless Steel Brakes Lines on sale, custom colors available at JNZ Tuning

Just to leave positive feedback, I put a set of these lines on my fathers car, probably about 2 years ago. No problems. Good pedal feel. Car is daily driven year round in Sun/Snow. Was happy with the coating, I just went with clear. I also picked up Hawk Pads and Hawk Rotors from JNZ for his car...
  14. 2g Turboback exhaust FS Greddy

    No longer avalible
  15. stm tank to rail kit

I had ClassicTube do this for me in -6 stainless along with my brake lines. I would say go for it.I would also raise caution to those using a rubber hose in the tank. Be sure its fully fuel rated. I have replaced some for friends after they lost pressure due to the hose breaking down.A...
  16. Full Stock of ARP Bolts for your 6-Bolt and 7-Bolt DSM!!

If you click the pics, it brings you to the item on their site with pricing.
  17. Fuelab AFPR Plugs/O rings look correct?

The concern I have with applying a lube to some o-rings is, in your case it can cause them to squeeze out, especially if the "lubricant" doesn't like the o-ring. I've learned the hard way not to put silicon spray on most o-rings as it can cause them to swell and distort. When in doubt, I usually...
  18. Punishment o2 housing doesn't fit.

You just bend it out of the way. Pull the stick out so you don't accidentally break it off and yank the tube over. I have done it to cars many times and it can even help getting the back bolt.
  19. Fuelab AFPR Plugs/O rings look correct?

Mine do not look like that. Did you spray or put anything on them?
  20. Rain X Headlight Restoration Kit (pics)

You have to wax or seal your headlights after sanding them or buffing them. You can use anything you want and your lights WILL look good, but only for so long. We used to do the sanding process at work on older cars. Not even a year later, the cars would be back with hazing again. You either...
  21. vibrant muffler fitment issue

Its not the muffler's fault. The muffler did nothing wrong. Its whom ever you used to install it. I'm sure they could have cut the piping back more or make some "japandrels" to get a better fitment.
  22. FWD Rain and Snow Driving Issues

Sure it does, its called awd :DProper tires, alignment, proper tire pressure can make a world of difference. Everyone in my family has a winter wheel set. Its not only about snow traction, just the temperatures can cause a summer tire to feel like you're on ice.
  23. Flared 1G fenders for wider tires

After spectating a at Lime Rock several times with a friend of mine who's a Club member and riding with him on the track and taking his Cayman S on the auto cross track, I would really like to get a bit more involved. I have a rather clean shell and a nice collection of parts for a nice build. I...
  24. Flared 1G fenders for wider tires

She did part the car out. I forget the reason, but it was a good one. I know this, because that brake set up is sitting in my basement for my next car. :D They are very nice.I do a lot of browsing. I believe Bobby passed some info on to you. Sounds like you're getting ready to have some fun.
  25. Red 1g on Top Gear USA

At least the 1g gets the chicks.
  26. Red 1g on Top Gear USA

I wasn't the first. I gotta admit, I laughed when the bus and boat when over the football.
  27. Red 1g on Top Gear USA

Just turned on Top Gear the US version. Tanner has a red 1ga on.
  28. Flared 1G fenders for wider tires

    Fixed it for you.
  29. Oil pump shaft seal leak

Yes, as Bryan said, you can just change the seal. Before removing the old one, look at how it sat in the cover, if its flush or pressing just further of the lip. You can change them, I have on my car after finding my high oil pressure was causing the leak.
  30. 1g ac unit removal

You do NOT need to remove the whole dash. Go to the picture where they have the glovebox out and it shows that metal brace. Take that out. You can then go up with a long 12mm and the one at the bottom. The center section will come out with the dash in place. I said to take apart the box...
  31. 1g ac unit removal

Remove your glove box, 3 screws across the bottom. Then you need to remove the metal bar that the glove box mounts to. There's a 10mm on the console side. Then I believe 2 philips on the passenger side. You'll need to wiggle the bar out as its kinda tucked up between the dash and mounting...
  32. Dark grey 1g leather

Looks good. I have charcoal in all 3 of my cars at the moment. Although Sparco's will be replacing the fronts in my next project.
  33. Can you clear coat Chrome?

You're best bet is to polish it. Almost chrome spray paint will not take a clear. Also some silver spray paints will changed with a clear coat. Almost Chrome powder coat, I would not do either, as I have it on my car. If you get fluid on it, it'll change color or stain and you can not fix it...

  36. For the Five Guys Burgers fans...

This guy is from my state!!! I need this guy as a friend, lmao. The song is focking amazing.
  37. 1g AWD Jack Stand Points

Pinch welds are fine. I put cars on lifts every day and use the pinch welds. My car was on them for a full winter as I pulled both subframes and painted my under body. I would only be concerned if they were rusted out. If that were the case I would look to the subframe, near a mounting point...
  38. Full led replacement

I see this is kinda old, but may help some. I did the LED's for the interior lights. Didn't go as far as you did with cluster and buttons.http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-exterior-interior/429154-upgrading-1g-interior-lighting-led-using-sharphid-kit.html
  39. Replacement Interior/Exterior Trim Clips

Been using and recommending clipsandfasteners.com for a few years now. Also I found Jeep door panel clips were the same as my 1gb side skirt trim. No idea of they were stock on the car, but they fit just fine.
  40. Prothane Engine mount busted?

I don't think those are Prothane bushings inside there. I know people running Prothane's and Energy Suspension bushings for years (I'm talkin some from the late 90's)I've wondered about where Drop Engineering gets their bushings from? I only say this because I haven't often seen green. Just...
  41. Painted intercooler???

My brothers old car he had anodized black. My winter car, I run fiberglass black screen mesh in front to help with sand and rocks being kicked up and clogging/ruining the fins. Works rather well and helps hide it.As for painting, the paint is probably reaching the first set of fins. Its...
  42. Is the CXRacing o2 downpipe

I hated o2/downpipes when I was working in a DSM shop. For some reason it seemed to put extra stress on the bolts that held it to the turbo and caused them to break. I remember working on a few different cars and always had a problem with those bolts. It was also a pain to install as well.If...
  43. show me your rims

PotatoFlakeSTi have a side shot of the car with those?
  44. Fuel line and inline fuel filter

If they are actually able to get you a factory line, have them do that. Our fuel systems run too much pressure for what they seem to be thinking. A rubber line with clear filter is something you'd see on an old carbureted vehicle that has very low pressure. The fuel line is not copper, it's...
  45. Fabricating Fiberglass sunroof plug

I had just seen this. I used my method to make block off plates or trim rings. Couple layers, then trim as needed. Then a light sanding so the paint could stick and you'd always have a smooth finish. As far as mounting, maybe run some thin aluminum straping across using the frame mounting...
  46. Fabricating Fiberglass sunroof plug

Just a thought based off something I've done in the past. Take a piece of glass. Clean it and the wax it, I used a carnuba paste. Once buffed out, I laid fiberglass down and applied resin to it. I worked the air bubbles out. Then added another layer and resin. Once cured I separated it from the...
  47. Kiggly adapter question.

You can get them from JNZ tuning, that's where I got mine. Kiggly directions show 1 that goes on between the plate and bolts. Also make sure you check clearance between the flex plate and rear main seal housing as well as the oil pan. I needed to clearance some of the pan as well just to give...
  48. Power steering Delete

I replaced the "cooler" lines with a small cooler unit. Its maybe 8" long that has a tube running threw it with fins. I mounted if off to the side. This was when I was doing a lot of back roads driving and figure cooling maybe a good idea. I then went to a manual rack as I was aiming for a more...
