I am installing a ADFX FMIC right now and need to move/relocate or upgrade the stock ps cooler. I was thinking I could cut a lot of the bends out of the stock ps cooler, mount it back behind the brace near the stock location and use hoses to connect it back up or I can get a new ps cooler. I...
Does anyone have any options for mounting a front license plate onto a blitz style urethane front bumper... I don't want to block the FMIC with the plate... and I doubt keeping it in the front windshield is legal. I am in VA so I can't get around having one... Thanks in advance..Jester
I was wondering if anyone has the StreetGlow Turquoise neon installed anywhere? I am trying to figure out what its color is like before i spend a ton of money on accent lights for my subs/amps. I want something that's somewhat close to the color of my car. Thanks in advance.Jester

I figure I should update on my spec clutch since the thread has been brought back to life... I so far really like this clutch... it was great to go from an extremely worn stock clutch to the spec stage-II clutch... It grabs great and I still have issues of stalling sometimes if I'm not paying...
I guess it also depends on your car becasue I have all 4 installed and I barely noticed a difference... When the AC is on, I get a little vibration... like the others have said, Its fine as long as it helps get rid of wheel hop...
The 120mm may be something worth looking into... 120mm = 4.72in... thats about the same as the inner dimension of the thermal exhaust tip... if I took that silencer and added a small ring of metal around it, it should slide right into the thermal tip... hmmmm.....

Since you are in Virginia Beach, you know exactly why I am looking for a silencer...!!!! If I could find a silencer to borrow, I would look into finding a fabricating shop in our area and let them make a few to fit our mufflers... but I've never even seen one other than on the internet... Maybe...
I jsut went and measured the tip.. it is slightly under 5in exterior dia of the tip... I could maybe get the 4.7in tip to work with some alteration... I'm not sure though...Jester
I was talking about getting a removable insert silencer.... Something I can insert into the tip of the muffler for when I am daily driving... and remove when I don't need it anymore...
Does anyone know if there is a silencer made that will work with the THermal R&D exhaust...??? I have seen a few universal designs out there... but didnt know if anyone has tried it or not..?? Thanks in advance...JEster
I just got done installing the Spec stage-II and the Spec Flywheel last night, along with a SBR LSD insert and prothane motor mounts... Everything feels great.. the pedal pressure did not change too much... but the clutch grabs like nothing else... I stalled the car 3 times just driving around...
I had the same thing happen to me... when I had my injen intake, the BOV had a nice psshhh sound... but when I upgraded my intake to larger diameter pipe, the BOV then started to sound like a whistle... I dont know either.. but my injen intake was metal and my new one is some sort of...
I just ordered the SBR LSD... we'll see what it does... I figured why not since I have the transmission dropped for a clutch/flywheel install....Jester
I can't find my problem either... I have redone all the wiring in my stereo and traced all my aftermarket electronics to make sure they are not shorting out... but i still cannot find a short anywhere. I have checked all the bulbs and their connectors... I have switched the relays around just...
I am having the same exact problem... I have checked the relay's and everything.. I am getting ready to dig under the dash and all around the car looking for a short.... This is the most frustrating problem I have ever had with my DSM... if anyone finds out what there problem was.. please let...
I have been keeping an eye on this thread for a while now... especially sicne my clutch is almost gone... I have been talking to Martin at TheSpeedFactor and have definitely decided on a Spec clutch. The only problem i am having is chossing between the stage2 or stage3... I am FWD so slipping...
Well I found out it was the calipers that were bad... I guess the pistons in the calipers weren't working smoothly.. I described the problem to a few mechanics and they all suggested that the calipers were bad... So, I went back and dug the pads out that I just took off the car and they were...
Well, I drove the car today and tried the above suggestions on how to seat in the pads. I still have the same problem of what feels to be like warped rotors. I am removing the new pads and rotors and taking them back to the auto parts store and getting everything brand new again. Maybe I just...
(I didnt drive the car today).... After looking at the rotors today.. it looked kinda like the pads were only hitting the outer edges of the router. So I figured something wasnt right and took everything back apart. I then tried to clean everything and scrub some of the rust off the hub (I...
I jsut got done rplacing the rotors and pads on the front. I sprayed everything with brake cleaner to make sure everything was free of grease and dust. I have heard that it takes a little driving for the brake pads and everything to get set right, but I drove the car for a few miles when I...
Thats not the water plug... I had the same prob.. I assumed it was for the oil feed located on the head for 1gs... I ended up getting a oil drain plug 14x1.5 and that fits perfect.. use a new copper washer and maybe some teflon tape...Moderator : can you move this either to the right...
I know its been a little bit of time since I ordred everything... but I wanted to drop Martin and TheSpeedFactor some credit in helping with the install from HELL... I have some new pics in my gallery showing some of the new stuff....I ordered a ton odf stuff from them at once..Cast...
I'm about to use this Seafoam stuff to help find/test for exhaust leaks, while cleaning the engine.. I think I may have a leak, but not sure.. but everyone says you'll definitely see the smoke if you have a leak..Jester
I figured I'd let everyone see what I did... I used a strip of steel and bent it using a vise and a hamer... and mounted it to one of the holes that held the SMIC... I'll get some closer pics if people are interested...Jester
I'd say to go with DSMLink over the AEM... I also thought about the logger/chip/SAFC method... When I added all that up, it was not too far off in price and I feel like DSMLink has a lot more potential and features than the SAFC combo...but I do know there are a lot of people running the...
Those look awesome... I'm not surprised to hear the good stuffabout TheSpeedFactor... I have ordered a ton of stuff from them and Martin always makes sure you are happy with what you have ordered... Brakes will be the next thing I upgrade...Jester
It is fun to stomp on ricers every now and then... the look on a kid's face in a civic with a pepboys muffler and huge park bench wing is priceless.. but I could only imagine to look on my face if I had to watch my ride get impounded from the backseat of a cop car... whatever you do, just make...
I am running a small generic overflow I purchased from Pepboys... most auto parts stores will have these.. I have mine sitting in between the intake and the passenger side headlight.. Its kinda temporary thing till I can find a place to mount it...I know other people that have relocated...
Thats about whay my car runs... especially since its getting colder outside.. I didn't have DSMLink during the summer, so I couldn't log on hot days...Jester
You can make the stock dp work, I ran mine with the stock dp for a few days while waiting for the RRE dp to come in the mail... You do have to cut the bolt holes so they are more like slots, the you can fit the larger bold pattern of the evo to fit the stock dp... It definitely puts a lot of...
If anyone was wondering... I found one at a marine/boat store... they are a little pricey ($25), but its worth it to me to make sure everything is done right... I'll post the results once I try wiring some relays and things to get this thing working..Jester
I was wondering if anyone has added an accessory fuse box to there cars. I have too many wires running everywhere for gauges, boost controller, lights, etc... I want to to wire up a new smaller fuse box for just these things. I wanted to see if anyone else has done something similar, and it...
I am running the Injen intake right now, but thats becasue I haven't bought my Dejon Tool one yet.. I've heard nothing but good things about there intakes..Jester
I have the SBR manifold and the EVO O2 housing with a 50-trim... I ported the o2 housing.. I can't compare it to anything since I went straight from the stock pieces to the new manifold... but I like it a lot... I'm also interested in other peoples' opinions...Jester
My horn also died... but I went and got one from the dealer.. i think it $25.oo... It was really easy to install since it was just like the stock one..Jester
I just ordered a Perma-Cool unit from summit racing... it is a little smaller.. something like 5.5"x7.5", but thats bigger than some of the things I"ve seen other dsm's running as power steering coolers... plus its got to work better than the stock bar design... It'll be here by Friday...

Thats where I had it before.. attached to the mesh with zip-ties... but since I have FMIC there now.. i don't want to block the fmic with a license plate... I'll see what I can make in the next few days.. thanks againJester
thats what I was thinking... maybe something similar to the Evo's... i was hoping someone on here could show me some pics of there's... we'll see... thanks again..Jester

I know its not the sound of the pump... I can hear the pump seperately when idleing... which is kinda loud, but its all good... I'm not sure what it is... I am waiting to install my 50 trim in a few days to tune.. Maybe once I tune it will stop... and an AFPR and new fuel rail is in the future...
I just installed a Walbro 255hp and 750cc injectors... After installing everything and starting the engine, I notice at idle if I put foot on the brake the engine starts to sound like it is under heavy load... ( the belts whine a little, etc... similar to when you a/c turns on when your at...
