i just spent well over a month troubleshooting an issue similar. i went through everything 3 times trying to fix my hot start issue, nothing worked. The Coolant temp sensor was reading fine on DSMlink, i tried 3 sensors, 1 new, one from a working car, and the used one i had.I ended up just...
so i found a work around for my issue. I went and got a new coolant sensor, tried it and same thing. So i plugged in the old one and just zip tied it down. So it's reading the temp under the hood, and the car starts every time now. :Dis there any down side to doing this? it fixes my issue...
:hmm: ok well help me understand then. i just don't get why trying to pop the clutch will help with an issue of no spark/fuel? if i try it or not i still don't get what info i'll gain from it
i've done all those "fixes" they don't work for me. The sensor i got from my friend we pulled from the car he drove over, think about it, it makes sense that it's not faulty lol. i plan on trying a "new" temp sensor but still. if i try to roll start the car and it doesn't work it'll be out...
no it doesn't smoke, i just put a new stock headgasket on when i redid the head. The rings are new so i'm only getting 100psi but it's not had a chance to seal so i'm assuming that's still ok.no my stock FPS isn't on the fuel rail, not sure if i threw it away or not lol. How do i "check"...

wow i'm having pretty much the same problems as you. This thread is helpful for testing procedures, as i've replaced everything it could be while i was upgrading, some with new(Coils, Ecu[Dsmlink rebuild], Injectors, plugs) others used(PT,CAS,Wires) so at least i should be able to narrow it...
i always talk to the prosecutor, and i've never had to go to court. I don't get very many tickets but still the prosecutor has always helped me and my friends stay clean as far as insurance is concerned.

bah i labeled my txt image wrong, i had the correct pins though, i did it 3 times now and nothing. besides either way i had it with pins 4-6 the first 3 pins should of lit up for cylinders 1 and 4.I've used the Host start link and done them all.however i need to see if it's vapor lock...
So i'm having a hot start issue atm and have replaced the CAS and was trying to test the Power Transistor. I just really want to make sure that i'm testing it right as well that the transistor is dead. Either way i'm trying to get my hands on another one but still, i can't find one in town...

on my 2g my LICP was smaller than the Supra IC pipe so i just used 2 couplers. the 2"(or whatever size the LICP is) coupler on the Pipe and then a 2.5" 45º bend. Fit nice and snug holds 20+ psi.

so i was finally able to borrow an air compressor, first cylinder was as expected with having good psi on compression but i still wanted to test it to see what a good cylinder sounded like.the other 3 leaked horribly all through intake and exhaust valves, even though i JUST had the head done...
ya 1-3 psi in cyl 2, it hardly showed up. with oil it only went up to about 10 tops :(yes i did bleed all the lifters, i double checked each one. i did have the timing 1 tooth off(looked right, damn 1g is at an angle compared to my old 2g lol) that's corrected now.I'm already trying...
ok so i just got this car a couple months ago and have been slowely putting it together. Either way i decided to do a rebuild because it had Low compression to begin with... I sent the head to the shop and they said 2 valve guides were shattered and i needed 5 valves. Ok got them replaced...

the metal nipple from the valve cover. i know it will function w/o it fine but i'd rather run a hose to my catch can so i don't have oil all over the place.
So i got this valve cover in GREAT condition, just it's missing the breather tube. It's not broken off in there it's just gone. Any idea's what i can replace this with? I went to the salvage to find one to try and pry out but didn't see anyI'm assuming i can just jb weld in a hollow tube...
Fixed lolOMG i've lost so much shit in my engine... Lucky i've managed to find all but a socket or two lol. a long magnet and a claw(dunno what it's called, 2' long thing with a claw at the end) have to be my most valuable tools ever, a very close 2nd are 10/12/14/17mm ratcheting wrenches...
i just did loops on the highway till i had everything correct. didn't take long and it solved 100% of my spike issues i had with the MBC. I love it, very easy and quick to setup the basics. the highway was just to fine tune some stuff.

ok really i've done a lot of searching and come up with nothing for these 2. I bought the car like this and i only owned a 2g before this so ya...every other plug is accounted for but these 2, no idea. And i'll assume i got the CAS pluged into the right plug because the car started lol...
i did 2 and a half on that one and no jump what so ever. i guess i have it wrong, i thought if it went up it was head gasket, if it didn't it was rings...
