Looking forward to getting this rear sub to kick off my body restoration. The underside will look nicer than the top side after this is installed and the floor panels are sanded and painted. 😆
Bump for this Dsm market increase. It's only going to get better for the nice ones and the turbo models were a somewhat low production.
As more get junked, crashed and parted out the % of nice ones will get harder to find and way more in demand. Then as noted, those in their 40s-60s with money...
I don't have and wouldn't recommend an OBD GPS, that's ghetto. I track my cars in real time every 10 seconds via a module hidden in the car, pay a yearly fee. I then added a hidden kill switch and ditched the alarms so that alarm factor is gone in all no start issues, unfortunately these older...
This isn't going to help now...I ditched all alarms in my cars, the 90s are over and no one cares your car is going off, get a car GPS to replace this. I have 2 Prime trackers in my cars and a 3rd is coming later for my Talon restoration finale. You need gauges, consider a Scanmaster etc, you...
That's not out of nowhere, you did a pull and then the car shut down, I'm going with the pull damaged it.It can be a slew internal trans parts starting with the pump, no fluid flow, no motion. But do all the small things, check the fluid, check the TCU like you are, eventually drop the pan etc.
https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/ECHTS5552Evil, is the sensor above the one you bought?
Because of that dudes bad review online I didn't want to buy it but normally I do buy Napa parts.TX32 standard, great price, good to know another sensor is available and functions.
Duracrap is 2 degrees within the factory sensor, factory sensor would read on the Scanmaster 196 then the fan turn on (sensor in radiator), new sensor reads 194 then fans turned on so I'll keep this in mind.I do like the Walker plug end connector better but I needed the car so I installed it...
So these Comp turbos use a different patented hubless tech vs Apex which is how they're able to offer this. I talked with a rep and these in the Triple BB are spooling even faster and making more power than the most recent turbos. The guys that got to test these out are ripping it and seeing...
I'm pumped to get started on the restoration and the Natfab 4 bolt rear for my 1g is coming in 2024. Body shop will blast the underneath and coat it, then install it with Volk Arms. My main suspension shop will do the rest. But without blasting Nat with 100s of questions how about this...
Great car, if it's an auto AWD I'd be curious if you have a for sale number on it?? LOLTo save you from a bunch of gauges I'd consider getting a Scanmaster and using that for all your info, you can mount it in many locations. Most under hood temp issues or heat issues are from guys taking...
What temp do you see at start up from the ECU?
If its normal then rule out the sensor and its wiring.Possible Power Transitor/Ignition Module too, they do this, fire up and then sometimes nothing or forever no more until swapped. You'll have to confirm spark if you're seeing 43psi while...
Thanks, Rockauto has a lot of options, I generally forget them because they don't really have a customer service department, but at $12 its not a big deal if you eat a mistake. The Walker Products sensor looking interesting, it shows 2 wires off the plug in connector which possibly could...
UpdateAmayama does not have the OEM Coolant sensors either, the website will allow you purchase the item, then they check and I got confirmation it's discontinued/no stock for them too. DamnI guess it's Dura-not-last to the rescue for maybe 10k miles.
Might need to do a boost leak test now aside from that temp. Possible leaks at Biss o ring etc but possible the IAC/ISC can be going whacko. A lot of us ditch it completely because it can cause issues that can be annoying and dangerous if it's stuck open and you can't really hold the car back at...
My man, crazy timing here, I just did a post about this for my 1G in the Maintenance section. Part numbers etc.If the ECU sees a really high Coolant Temp at start up, it leans out the fueling causing a no start. In the meantime you can ground out both wires of the big Coolant sensor to get it...
Looks like these Hubless turbos will be available late Winter 2024. CT4RX 5858 seems like a killer street turbo at a possible 775hp. Similar to Garrett G30-770 (5855) but possible better spool due to lower weight and friction.Hiroshi, sucks to hear that, you guys that push things to the edge...
Let me describe an issue this sensor will create in case your car isn't starting, its cranking over but won't fire.If you can see the Coolant sensor temp reading, Scanmaster or software, and it shows...312 (anything really really high)This might trigger a SES Code 21 (1G code)Your ECU...
Yes you can find them at Autozone or used but what if you want the factory = Discontinued in the USA.1990-1994 Water Temperature Sensor (twin male)
MD069879Amayama has them, $43
I got 2 of them, thanks Hiroshi for the passing them on, found a few things I needed.

Oh boy, that sounds horrible for the patent holder, smells of unethical BS to not pay someone a small % of the future profits.Racers are seeing a difference, dudes are keeping it on the DL in race classes to your say 67mm turbo is a 67 that flows like a 72 for to hubless area.
https://www.compturbotechnology.com/ctrx-hubless-wheel15% more flow by ditching the hub shaft
Water cooled for us street strip guys

I just ordered up the S90 74mm throttlebody with FIAV block off. Factory rebuild and port by Steve Monroe is sticking now so I'll swap over and keep the original.Prior to buying in 2023 there were comments on leaks and possible seal swaps etc.12x18x3 = SKF Nitrile Seal, $4What's the...

Nice, actually I'll buy his Haltech bracket next year when I convert. Him making it would be exactly what we needed, a Dsm guy with the ability to pull this off and understands the need and long term demand to help us out, make the investment back and then some.
Well I snagged a 1G cover earlier this year, I need to use it and noticed they're all gone now.Anyone still offer it or gonna make one, maybe via 3D printer etc?I'd imagine with 3D scanning becoming more affordable that getting one scanned and then produced for even $250 each is worth it...
1G body parts!!!
There's only a few new 1G hoods left. (I have 1)
No more new 1G fenders (I have 3)
There's only a few 1Ga front marker lights (I have 2)
There's no new rear 1G quarter panels or doors.Fiberglass and carbon hoods are out there but...
Fiberglass and carbon fiber panels are from...
After a break in its good to check compression and leak down anyways so you have those numbers moving forwards. Also do a Coolant pressure check and if those are all good, you've passed the scary tests and most likely have something less time consuming and expensive.
4 piston with E brake that has a simple bolt on rotor. While you can make a 2 piston, those people can just rebuild stock calipers if they want that, your value is new, bolt on, high quality, e brake with improved performance. Then bigger rotor people are next, but same caliper on your end...
I'm probably selling these because they won't fit a 2.3L, I was planning on 2.15L 94mm crank but some shops won't build that engine, they don't stand behind Eagle forged cranks.I'm on the fence, I'd like to run them in a 2.15L but at the same time a billet crank 2.3L that can turn 9k as head...
That makes way more sense, thise fit way too snug under the lip. I estimated with the Natfab 1" BS gain I still need 1" quarter lip addition for the 295 let alone the 315.
Whoa the rear looks great, that 315 almost fit under the wheel well on a 1gb. WTH?What's your rear suspension, you got the Natfab subframe?
Nat has an option to gain 1" of BS by tweaking the lower rear trailing arm so you can stuff more in there. Here's an option I'm looking into after...
Just to give you some real world info...
On my 1g after an oil pump swap on an engine with 80k it increased the pressure at hot idle a good 6psi. The pump gears were shot, you could wiggle it while it was on the car.I've also noticed some gauges get crappy at the low readings after many...
They reached the 25 initial run production numbers, this will get made for the community.
$3000 bolt together, Opel inspired core.
Sounds like mid next year these will have come to fruition to buy if you're not on the list.
What state and big nearby city you in?There are some shops that can rebuild these that aren't on the forums. You possibly lost the converter or you're still like 3 quarts short on fluid. Neutral, flat surface and check while running with the parking brake on.
Got canceled, they never updated inventory.Onto overseas, not sure what is 90-91s are gonna do if these all fold. I wonder if there's a way to have them repaired with new plastic etc?3D printed possible for just a lens swap out?
Marty, you bought some from them recently? There's a place in the US that had the passenger marker light so there's some hope. I'll report back either way.
WTH, I'm scouring the internet and found 1 USA place to buy the passenger and everyone else is overseas, you have a Mitsu dealer in Cali. LOLThanks Marty, I'm buying 2 driver side now.Mike

I've got an updated alt to battery wiring so I'm not on old wires either. It helped but it's not gonna cure this constant alt issue of....After say 15k miles, the idle volts drop drastically. I'm looking to bump the idle volts higher than 12v after...
Thanks Steve, you always have good info on electronics, I found this pic on the board, do you think an external volt booster could work for us 3 wire stock alt, 1gs?If so how do you think it would need to be spliced in?
