    The ticking definately is coming from the top of the motor. It seems to stay consistent in noise threw out the rpms but goes faster the higher the rpms. So you think it is a lifter then? Is there anyway for me to tell this by pulling the valve cover? Thanks

    I guess the main question is does anyone see a problem with the core itself? It's decent size and should fill the bumper nicely. The probs with the pipes can be solved fairly cheap so that isn't a issue and I already have T-Bolt clamps.

    550's are a little small for a evo16g as well. If you are trying to attain 21psi on pump you may want to jump up to 650's or larger. That should help the problem.
