The S-AFC connects up to your ECU wiring harness so it come's with everythig you need to make it work .BUT you will need some type of Data logger or at least a widwband O2 so you can see what effect the changes you are making have on your air/fuel ratioIf your on a budjet you can pick...
Yes to run a GM MAF you would remove the stock 2G MAF and install a MAF/translator piggy-backed onto your ECU. You can also run a S-AFC along with a GM maf translator set-up for even finner tuning of the fuel system then the MAF /T can do buy itself. To run LINK you would need an Eprom ECU...
I did check the front end for play tie-rods are good and tight. i also checked the ball joints at all for wheels. And yes the tires were ballenced.
Although I did not get hube centric rings with the new wheel that could also be an issue but I don't think that is the problem
Im haveing some problems figuring this vibration out !!!
First off the car is a 95 Talon AWD Automatic pretty much stock
The vibration starts at around 50 mph and up. It is most noticeable at hi way speeds under even a slight load. If i let off the gas the vibration go's away touch the gas...
Well you can add me to the list of guys running an EVO ECU I finely got my car back together and running so i stuck an EVO ecu in the car tonight got it running and took it for a ride so now I'm a happy camper The car is pretty much a stock 95 Talon AWD automatic but thats going to change...
Holly crap I just went out into the garage to look at the intake on my Talon and I already have a evo intake on my car. I was planning on swapping the manifold out for a stock 2g manifold because the manifold on the car did not have the boss for the mdp sensor and there is no egr valve on the...
I have a 95 Talon AWD and it dose not have the re-flash port so when I re-pined my patch harness to do this swap I just cut wire 79 out of the harness and used the half of the wire thats on the evo8 ecu side of the harness and connected it to the tantrix cable I was able to link up with the evo8...
Has anyone tryed ACE torque converters according to the web site I found they offer a custom converter built on the info you give them for $425 and they list an AWD and FWD covverter for an eclipse here's the link I found
ACE convertors
Ok I have a few questions on your pin out you have pin 78 empty 2Gs don't use that pin but the EVO 8 ECU has pin 78 for the knock sensor imput so is the evo8 ecu not getting a knock signal with your set up? Also pin 43 on 2g is eng/trans toqure reduction request signal 2 witch becomes clutch...
I understand the tcu controls the trans but the tcu gets info from the ecu to control the trans and because the Evo8 ecu is a manual trans ecu how will that effect the operation of the tcu
This is my first Automatic DSM so Im just trying to figure out what will and won't work as far as ECU...
I have been following this thread and Im very interested in doing this ecu swap my only concern is my car is a 2g automatic how would this swap effect the TCU or would I have to use an aftermarket trans controler from someone like IPT
I beleive they are both rated to handle the same amount of toqure 400 or so foot lbs. They just go about it in different ways. The 2600 uses a higher clamping presure presure plate and a less aggresive stock style organic disc . The Spec stage 3 uses a more aggressive 6 puck style disc with a...
Ive run both the Act 2600 and the Spec stage 3 both are real good clutchs but the set up I like the best is a combo of the 2. I like to run an Act 2600 presure plate with the Spec stage 3 Disc
Don't know if any of you guys are interested but there is a DSM club in the york/Lancaster area check out our forum at www.spadsm.com we have a meet every mo. we have been around for awhile. We are a small club but alot of our members are hardcore DSMers with more years building and tunning DSMs...

You can use the starter and clutch p. plate assy from the Gst when you do the convertion the flywheel is bigger and the trans bellhousing moves the starter so you also need the gsx starter plate your biggest problem beside cutting into the frame to install the longer mounting bolts for the rear...
Well I got the GST spyder AWD convertion done and its been on the road for 2 weeks now with no problems. All in all its was not that hard to do just labor intensive. On the first test drive I couldent get over how soild the car felt and wondered why MITSU. dident build this car in the first...
Im doing a AWD conversion to a GS-t Spyder now the post I saw above from mark at tkr performance is right on the only thing I saw he left out was the plate that bolts onto the block in back of the flywheel the hole for the starter won't line up to the AWD tranny if you use the Fwd plate
so you...
