Anything concave, spokes sticking out past lip is ugly IMO.These wheels look good (maybe rpf1's, my monitor sucks)This is a good look, fat tire, little dish to it:pretty big, but always liked this car:Not my style, but looks clean:About all Im finding googling at the moment. But...
You have awfully strong opinions, and are really stereotyping quiet horribly. And yet all you can afford is apparently cheap cars?Herse my subaru forester wagon/suv, with a roof rack, for my mountain bike and snowboards.Guess Im the typical Yuppie. Let me know what I'm supposed to eat and...
Which Vibrant muffler are you using? They make quiet a few. I run the aluminum muffler, weighs about 2 lbs. Typical straight through muffler otherwise.
Great read, just constantly seeing little things done and little improvements made. Keep up the good work, I like seeing people use what they have instead of slapping on a dozen of the baller parts.
I had an ES converted to Turbo. It's not hard to do, but you have to know what parts you need. There have been several write ups that should get you a good start. If he hasnt purchased a turbo engine yet, just find him another nt engine, they are cheap.
I like a good stance. I dd my car, so its on stock suspension for the sake of my back. But I love to look at these:Over in Subaru land we call it "aggressive wheels." I can pull plenty of examples, I just happen to have some from the Forester site. Those bagged cars that are super stretched...
ok, So do you know if I would be able to use that -6 plug on the radiator to run up to the heater core? Will it matter which side it plugs into ( I would think so)?
Only thing we can think of, is a -16 fitting in the lower rad hose between the water pump and rad. It won't be cheap, but the last minute change to needing the car now instead of in 4 months can't be helped.Otherwise it would be new waterpump, find a stock radiator, and an oem waterpipe. Not...
Does anyone know if it will flow right coming from the blue fitting on the radiator going to the heater core? The water pipe was replaced with braided hose.
Working on a car here, that has a radiator with an fittings welded on, one runs from the water pump to the bottom of the radiator. Thus, eliminating the water pipe. This also means the heater core hook up is gone for one side.So my question is, what direction does the coolant flow? Is the...
I had two 92 TSI awd's with 6bolt motors (not rare...just stating). One had LSD and ABS, with leather, no sunroof, hatch cover and that nice center console cup holder. Other one had all that but was Black leather and no abs.I had a 91GSX mint virgin with air oil cooler, sunroof, factor amp in...
Owner seems like a tool. Can't even take decent pics of the car that he wants $10k for? I'd take it and park it in storage besides a few car shows. Not worth much now that hes tinkered.
HAHA, so many people would switch to WRX or STI. I made the switch to that myself.tiny pic:04 Forester xt. uses the 04 STI 2.5l turbo. my sleeper minivan.
The variations in these thermostat housings is frustrating! If you are wanting a coolant temp sensor for turning on fans, the one in the radiator should work, which turns on the stock fans...or am I missing something?I just had to ask a question a couple days ago regarding this thermostat...
Well dsmlink is reading what seem to be accurate engine temps (190), and the gauge is also working fine. But it wasnt working a few days ago, but no one seems to think they switched any wires or anything.Appreciate the input, we shall see how the car continues from here.
Topics been covered before, but I havent seen this specific setup. I have been out of the game for almost a year, and need to help this guy get his car going.I just need to know what each sensor is for. And you can see here we have 3 sensors in a row.I believe #1 is to the ECU, #2 for...
My car starts right up and idles perfectly in zero degree weather with FIAV block off. I take it some others wont idle high enough and die out? That seems kind of strange.
I have a 13g auto fwd parts car. Turbo appears in excellent condition surprisingly. If you need some parts let me know, all I bought the car for was the head so I could build one on the side. I'd probably look around for a 14b it spools plenty quick for autocross and is all around better. Good...
For the hardware that mounts the drive shaft to the chassis I bought ss hardware at a supply store and you can get the rubber bushings at Mitsubishi. But I just bought a whole new drive shaft so didnt have to do that this time around.
should use this on my friends R6 turbo kit, would be a cheap compact solution. I've seen some Tial knockoff 5psi springs for these, would probably be perfect.
Running the cat on the N/T it tends to sound better. How long are the resonators, and what muffler do you have. I heard a 420a with a magnaflow muffler and it sounded nice.
Good to hear its getting all straightened out. I would still recommend gaskets made for the application, unless your a very talented person with the knife. When doing your boost leak test spray soapy water around things that can leak, makes it much easier to find those leaks. As for the coupler...
theirs not much wiring involved. If your atatched to this car make it turbo. If the car has no meaning, ditch it for an already turbo one. Heres an old thread you can check over. Ive been involved in the conversion before as well. We used the NT block with turbo pistons and thats all it took...
Oh about 24 hours. Have to account for de greasing if needed, pressure wash, sanding and masking. Or in some cases completely stripping the bay of anything to require masking.
I'd like to know what is involved with shimming and what not. Im a bit confused their. Also wondering if any thing can be done with the rear end, can it be rebuilt, I hear theirs bearings, can I replace them?I have new: transmission, driveshaft (entirely. And have replaced the fluids in the...
I have the stg 3 keydiver as well. Logger and wb02 for monitoring. Had an afc but it seemed to go bad on me so I had to take it out. I only need to make LITTLE adjustment but I really cant justify buying another afc. Anything out their I dont know about?Oh, I only run 15psi (BR20g) tops...i...
First car purchase was in 2001 (seems like a long time ago) and I bought my 1990 TSI AWD leather interior 5spd, white. Bought it cheap, and the guy I sold it to has it up for sale as a shell right now. tempted to purchase for the sentimental value...but its a rust bucket now I hear.
Just since i came accross this I thought I would throw my 2cents in. Bleeding the 1g awd with abs I believe I read it said to have the car running and it MUST be level. That was the only way it worked for me too. I no longer have an ABS car, but I am currently looking for the bleeding procedure...
