I have a question about choosing my new turbo. My goal is to go as fast as 12 sec in 1/4 mile. But I also want my car to be a good street car. So far, i'm thinking about FPT28/big16G/16Gkiller/20G. Can you guys help me by giving me some opinions and experiences???
I believe that "some" smog stations test much harder than others, such as the first place I've been to. I failed the visual due to the PCV modification (having oil catch can), and greddy type s BOV, although it was used as bypass valve (recirculated), it didn't have the CARB number. However...
I came back as of december 23rd 2002... or something like that...I did go to superautobacs and bought the AFC II and it is on the PSI site as the install how-to.I believe that's all i bought for my car.
I have a similar problem like you specified, though I'm not sure if it's weather ralated in my case. I usually try uninstalling/installing it again to fix the problem. In my case, usually after I do something with my battery, the TT does not turn off even after it's done with the countdown...
My problem was actually the loose connection of fuse in the fuse box. Although I ended up buying a brand new switch from mitsu. If you find out that the switch is your problem, I can sell you my old one, which should work still.
My oil level seems fine, although I might need to change my oil soon, I have about 500 more miles to go, before 3000 miles. I don't know about the tensioner, so I'm going to check it this weekend. Thanks for the replies.
I have my lifters tick for a while, and I know what they sound like. However, this was the first time I heard any ticking sound coming from my engine compartment after driving. So, I wanted to know if lifters tick only when you first start your engine, or it comes back after driving the car, etc.
As my car was idling after driving normally for 5-10 min, I heard the *ticking* noise. I know my car has the lifter tick when I first start it up in a day, but I've never heard any ticking while my car was idling after driving for a bit. The ticking went away as I gave some gas. However, it...
I'll try to answer the best I can. when you got 18's, the rotational mass has increased due to the radius of the rims and tires, however, if the 18's you got are lighter than your 16's, then you might be able to still benefit from having those 18's. But i have no idea how to calculate the...
I've heard or read on some thread that the driver side is supposed to be brighter than the passenger side, so the driver can see the signs, etc. My memory is not so clear, however, I do remember reading about this somewhere.
I apologized if this has been brought up before. I searched for it but couldn't really find a good way of installing it.Can someone tell me how to install this on 2G GSX? with as much detail as possible would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
I've heard that smog stations in santa cruz is easier than others in the bay area... but then this is all i heard, and never tested my car here yet. I'm a little worried as well, since i have to pass one in july/aug.
When I bought the type 24 one, it had a piece of paper stuck to the top of the box saying, it is illegal to use on automobile in CA.
But then, this was over a year ago.
I got an used one from a junk yard for about $25, then put it in, and still got the annoying CEL, same code. Then, recirculated the BOV, then no more CEL.RuBiCaNT5X: In your post, you said, "I am not recirculating so I think it's bad.". which means you are venting, right? unless, if...
I don't get it though, since my car is lowered for only 1.3 inches. I'd get an alignment first to see, since it has been about a year, since I got it last time.
I have a tire problem. My rear tires rubs against the *metal piece* coming from where lower control arm is and to half way above the tire. I apologize for not knowing the name of the *metal piece*. I killed both of my rear tires (potenza s03's) from the inner side wearing out. One was just...

The side mirrors are different as well... they got those folding mirrors, since the roads in japan are so narrow that you require to fold your mirror to pass next to a car sometimes.
What's the purpose of this thread? so off topic. Who cares if it's not *sold* in the US or it's *sold* here? All it matters is that we can get them somehow (from ebay, stores that imports them from Japan, etc) and we can use them to gain some more performance.
I just pulled the damn thing out... lol... I am not granteeing you with anything, or any damage might be caused from it, but when I install/uninstall the antenna/broken antenna, I just pulled it out... it's sorta stuck in there, but it'll come out... Or trying looking in a manual for installing...
That brake system is under grex, here's the linkhttp://www.trust-power.com/03grex/alcon_brakesystem.htmlI got all the info i posted from the website. I just translated what it says on the page to English...that's all.
Actually, greddy is the brand name trust uses for the turbo and those supporting mods. So, greddy is the brand for turbines, intercooler kits, gauges, turbo timers, etc. When i was in japan, all the turbo related products have all greddy logo, instead of trust logo. Trust also has grex, which...
How did you guys keep the inlet/outlet closed? i was thinking about just putting some plastic bads there sealed tight and put some tape to seal it, but if i use high grade of alcohol or gasoline, it'll melt it, right?
All you need to do is... just pull the antenna out, you'd have to buy a new antenna from the dealer, they charge kinda a lot of money for the extendable metal piece with white plastic wire in it. Basically... there's a motor which uses the white plastic piece to make the antenna go up and down...
It's crazy how they can make so much torque... impressed about how easy 290 wtq was achieved, however, they'd have fun launching with that much torque in fwd.Isn't this thread in a wrong forum thought? shouldn't this be in the hang out forum? neon srt4 is 2.4 ya know? :D
I got my tranny rebuild by RRE, I have pretty good experience with them. But I only got it rebuild with stock parts, so I do not have any info with upgrading tranny parts.
I believe you have the japanese manual, so i'm gonna try to translate it for you.For 1: In neutral, keep your RPM betwen 1300 - 1700, (1600 rpm is just an example), after keeping the rpm steady, you press the knob/joystick to the right, then afc should remember the reading. if there was...
I think people are misunderstanding about drifting. If the rear end started to com loose on a turn, then you correct it. This is NOT drifting. You are supposed to be facing the apex of the turn before you are going to make that turn. I.E. say you're going fast on a road with a turn, then...
My T25 used to spike to 18-19 PSI and hold at 16-17 PSI, until it was blown. I don't know the actual cause for it to blow, but maybe I was abusing it by overboosting (?) and by other causes.
My car smoked blue smoke when at idle, etc. Although, I could not see the smoke when at high speed. I also did not get any boost at all. My wheel had a lot of play. So, check to see if you have any of these symptoms. You probably need to clean your I/C as well, since blown turbo might be...
