Ended up being this stretched out spring that was preventing me from opening the door. Tore off the old panel. Did the surgery of replacing this latch assembly and the pain of connecting that door handle latch. Whoever designed this door, I hate your guts. Buttoned it all up and put the new door...
There was a tiny misfirr after it idled for a bit I was trying to fix. Not sure how new everything could make it worse. I'm pretty sure I threw out the old stuff because it ran fine directly after replacement
Replaced the injector. Cleaned up all the other injectors. All the seals. Mating surfacces. Ran Seafoam through the entire thing. I'm still losing power. Almost like gas is cutting out above 3k rpm. I'm officially stumped
I can push that lock/unlock tab on the door panel to unlock but it'll snap right back to lock. Also as I push that to unlock and push on the door from the inside while pulling the handle it does not budge. I have a new door panel, I'm thinking of just butchering the thing to get to the lock.
The drivers door to my 1G decided to stop engaging today. Not even from the inside. When I put my key in the door handle lock there was no resistance when twisted either way. My guess is the latch somehow disengaged itself. I also have to hold the passenger side in the unlock position to open it...
Car is stock. Threw a PO303 code cylinder 3 missfire. Odd because I changed all plugs wires and coil packs a few days ago. I had to take the fuel rail off. My theory is a faulty injector or signal to the injector
I have a 98 GSX that developed this on my way to work today. At first it was faint and then it was prominent and the CEL came on. 2 days ago I had this same problem and it was just that the hose to the throttle body had come off because I forgot to tighten the clamp. I tightened it and went on...
I got some black leather off a junked 99 for my 98 GSX. There's no rips and it basically just needs cleaned but assholes exist and there's writing on the passenger seat. Does anyone know how to get this off?
I recently replaced my clutch master cylinder, line, and slave cylinder and I removed the battery for some access. When time came to start the car back up I have power but no sounds of the starter engaging. When I tried jumping it I made a rookie mistake and put the leads on the live car first...
I ended up using my brake bleed kit to route the fluid back into the reservior until it was purged of air. Then I connected one end of the tube into the bottle of dot 3 ran that through the gun and put the other tube on the bleed nipple of the slave, and simply pumped the system full of fluid...
I have a brake bleed kit with some rubber hoses so I'm going to attempt that redirect it into the reservior and pump method. Oh and I have installed a new STM SS clutch line all the way to the slave, but unscrewed it just before the master. So I think that'll make getting some fluid in the line...
I've never changed one before I didn't know about bench bleeding these guess it's not too bad. But boy is it gonna be fun getting that cotter pin again
Up until February I daily drove my 1G until one day when it was extremely difficult to get into gear and had clutch fluid on the ground. So I replaced the slave cylinder bled it down and it worked fine for a bit until the same problem arose. So I decided screw it I'll get the clutch master...
Just want a clear answer before I tear anything apart because this is my daily. I bought the 4-bolt rear but just the axles recently for my 90 GSX with a factory LSD. Do I need the LSD off a 1Gb? Will these line up with the splines of the 90s LSD? Or are they thicker? Or are these just a direct...
I had my buddy buy the car for me while I was in Texas for the AF. His neighbors complained of it sitting there so I had it towed when I got home to my buddies apartment parking lot, where I've kept cars in the past because it was cool with them and they were living there. They moved out without...

I'm picking up a part 92 GS tomorrow for my 90 GSX. Does anyone know if swapping the rear bumper and tail lights is plug an play?https://wheeling.craigslist.org/cto/d/92-mitsubishi-eclipse/6338208389.html

I'm buying a 92 Eclipse GS tomorrow for parts for my 90. Mostly for the interior and OEM radio. I was wondering when in 92 they started using the 7-bolt design because it might be worth saving that engine instead of scrapping the car when I'm done. Yes I know its non turbo and there is...
I was wondering if anyone could tell me the exact differences between 90 and 91 cars. My friend keeps telling me to get a 91 because they're apparently better than 90 cars. Another friend of mine says he doesn't touch 90 cars because of "all the little differences" I drive a 90 GSX for clarity
