WB says lean idle. ECMlink says 11.4 @idle. Timing sounds off, just started the other day. Any help

I dont know if its piston, ring, or valve. But it will be obvious, there will be a bloody big gap somewhere I didn't have a leak down tester either. So I made one...but they are cheap on eBay, or the mechanic may have one.

Get a leak down tester and see where the air is leaking. But it looks like the head needs to come off regardless. When the head is off put some kerosene in the ports to check valve sealing. Flip head over to do the other side. But with a 20psi result the problem will be fairly obvious.

    4G64 Build Thoughts

Turbo your 2.4, keep it low boost, then if you want more (power) or less (traction), add turbo pistons and a aftermarket ecu.I dont think you will want 500hp in your fwd platform...will you?

Break crank pulley bolt loose with no special tools?

Yep. Plus handbrake. Try a few different gears, or can jam brakes on as well. Use a helper, or something to hold brake pedal down. Maybe between seat and brake pedal. I push brake pedal down and use a hammer handle under clutch pedal, under accelerator pedal and above brake pedal. Remove brake...

Spyder How much coolant is "normal" from the water pump weep hole?

I'd call it a telltale, rather than a weep hole.

Break crank pulley bolt loose with no special tools?

The DSM manuals say if the cams are at the tdc timing marks, you can turn the crank and it won't hit any valves, that is without the timing belt on. I would be scared to spin motor with the starter though. Turn it slowly by hand firstLooks like a ring spanner might fit on jcolby. They twist...

    2G quiet muffler

I have a Varex. Dual 3" in and out, oval. I got it used and I thing the bush on the butterfly's are worn. I'm sure its rattling when shut. Its still brappy, so will add a resonator. It is nice and quiet, and i have it shut mostly, in fact i ts not wired in, I just closed butterfly's and...

    help connecting16g to manifold??

The left one- trim the bolt head so it fits flush from the bottom. The right one- get a longer bolt and turn it into a stud by chopping the head off.If you are using the turbine threads, I'd slot the manifold holes till the bolts go in. Will only take a few minutes with a angry rat tail file...

    Cant turn crank...

Try using the bearings from the bent rods. The new rods bearings are too small for the old crank. Google plastigauge and use some of it to measure clearances

    Nt 1g timing map wanted

The knock sensor is not seeing the pinging. It was seeing knock up top and I pulled timing to cure that. This is a na 2.0 so I'm not using e85, and its also not readily available here. I have redone the turbo map last night by moving it up 2 boxes and right 2 boxes. Will try that. That has...

    Nt 1g timing map wanted

Hi guys, I have been lurking here for a good few years, and have made excellent use of the search thread over that time. I had blown a engine in my mitsubishi Its a long story, but it was a 4g93t with evo3 bolt ons, and ecmlink lite. As funds didn't permit much else I put in a g4cp nt (1g 6...

    7 bolt parts on a 6 bolt

Use it as is. You were saying about bolting a power glide to it. So you need a adaptor plate made. So bell housing bolt pattern doesn't matter.Throw your 6 bolt ideas away and use this 7 bolt. You could use the head complete on a 6bolt just ream the head bolt holes 1mm larger

    identify this 7 bolt

This was not in any car, the direct drive on the flywheel suggests maybe a boat. No intercooling suggests methanol.I'm thinking it was a skiboat or jet boat engine.
