I'm trying to see if these have link with eachother. The car idles with a surge and seems to be idling high. I figured it might just be a boost or vacuum leak causing the idle problems but have yet to do a boost or smoke test on the car. When driving it doesn't bog down and drives pretty well...

I was noticing that most oil feed lines i see are ran from a banjo bolt on the side of the head. For some reason mine is ran from a spot that was tapped into right next to that, on the front of the head. Why would the previous owner run it like that? Is this an ok method to use for the feed line?
