Looking to buy a motor for my 92 eclipse. Would prefer to have BSE done and lower miles. Will pay accordingly. Thanks. Any leads text me at 812-208-5187
I live south of Dallas. I'm wondering if anyone would be able to come help a guy out and help me either eliminate and or fix the balance shaft / rear balance shaft bearing. I can pay whoever helps or buy some beer and cook out. Just don't really know what I'd be getting myself into so any help...
So I've come to the conclusion that its the rear balance shaft bearing. Anyone in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area that would be willing to come down on a weekend and help me get this fixed???
CAS. Sorry. But , I'm about to upload another video with better sound. Idk what's going on. Car feels like it loads up and is really sluggish. I'm guessing timing issue but I don't even know where to start to fix that
Its not a steady knock when it happens. It goes in and out and stops and starts. Got the ground back on the temp gauge and its reading normal again. Gonna go for a short drive around the block and come back and let it idle and see what's gonna happen
Well, I adjusted the cps and the knock stopped . But now my coolant temp gauge is pegged beyond hot and the car is still running normal, fans kick on normal and off. No cel or any lights. I'm so confused. Timing belt and tensioners were done supposedly less then 1000 miles ago when I bought the...
It only does it at low rpm and low oil pressure. Checking the timing will be my next venture I suppose. It sounds terrible and it doesn't wanna stay running and its becoming hard to start. Sounding more like timing in my opinion but I don't know a whole lot lol. And what is HLA?
It sounds like its coming from under the valve cover. I had the timing cover off in the video. It seems to go away when I idle the car up but it makes this noise at an idle and just started yesterday. The sounds comes and goes.
There's a video of the sound its making.... Had the valve cover off this morning and everything looked okay? Some metal shavings in pan but not anything crazy. I know lifters are a common issue so if y'all think that's the problem a link to a good set of lifters and springs would be great.
I think it's got something to do with the radio or an old phone.... Made an attempt to hook it up to my computer and connect to DSM link just to check and it wouldn't connect.
Can't quite figure out where it goes but does run towards ecu. Too dark to trace it tonight and I have to take the panel off to really get to it! I'll check into it more tomorrow and try to get some pictures!
I haven't honestly had time to trace them and see where they go.. Its on the passenger side of the center console down towards the floor. I will go look now and see if I can see anything
Have a little block that looks like an Ethernet cord would plug in to it? Is this for a data logger or tuning or what?!?:hmm: can't get the picture to attach! :banghead:
