SUE THEIR ASS :rocks:I can't tell how many photos have been used (stolen) over the years, but I didn't have the time or the $ to go after the idiots. :beatentodeath:Extreme Dimensions should NOT be using the car for advertising at this point unless they want to pay Tyson some cash for...
Hey Chris,We're all good. The past week has been pretty scary-insane. The first couple of days of fire they were predicting it would make it to Pacific. Fortunately we were out of the path of this blaze, but we did have stuff packed ready for our exodus if necessary. It was strange...
Just a quick note: The decision to use the KAAS was a collaborative effort discussed between John Shepherd and Mike Welch of RRE... I figured their input was top notch :thumb:
I took a good 2-inches if not more off the front fenders and all the way up to the mono-body seam in the rears. The body kit definitely helped in putting the car on the ground. With the splitter the front the car has about 2-inches and maybe 3-inches with the side skirts (it made for an...
I used the Samco 2G lower hose for the upper with a little trimming, and the Samco 2G upper for the lower with an added hose sensor adapter. If you remember I added a low water pressure warning light to the system. The adapter gave the added turn I needed for perfect fitment. Mitch...
Chris,
I noticed that you came directly off the engine with the FP turbo filter... I did that initially resulting in a constant "leak" battle. I ended up using a straight fitting (got rid of the banjo one) and put the filter in-line. When it leaked the oil blew on to the manifold creating a...
Kyle,Excellent job on your car and your determined energy in securing the necessary support to have the bad-assed beast on the track! Your write-up was a good example of the process you went through in improving each of your runs. You continue to make the DSM community proud!!I like...
Rich,http://store.forcedperformance.net/merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=FP&Product_Code=FPFWkit&Category_Code=I used this flywheel attachment hardware kit from FP to avoid the very problem that you encountered...
Hey Rich,I'm always looking in on what's going on and will try to add my 2-cents when it has some value. Your mechanical problems are typical when starting a new race program. If there was a single solution to be a success right out of the box I never found it. I can tell that every part...
Mitch (engintechs) knows of a bracket that puts both the alternator and ps pump on the opposite side. It might also be time for the 2-gal water bottle and Home Depot pump and drip system spary nozzles...OMG
I fried two cam covers. One in an oil fire before I spring loaded the dipstick and the other from just too much heat. The cover was quite simple. A piece of aluminum for the back and I bent one to follow the curvature of the cams. Riveted the two together, then took a piece of L metal and...
With as much access as you have right now it's a fairly simple job. Really :thumb:NO WELDING >>>>>> NO EPOXY>>>>>> NO BUBBLE GUM>>>>>> JUST DO IT RIGHT THE LAST TIME! :)
PUT THE NEW ONE IN!!! RRE did a weld on mine that only lasted for 2-months. If it's a daily driver fine... but for racing do the duty, you won't regret it!!
That looks really good Chris... you're becoming quite the fabricator. On another note; How is your clutch assembly? If there's any play (as it will only get worse with all the shifting on the track), now would be the perfect time to swap a new one in there...
This is the cheapest new one I could find you. It's suppose to work really well...http://www.maxqdata.com/MQGPS.htmYou might check ebay for a better deal ;)
Hey Tyson, glad to see your made it back! 1900 miles, in two days, towing a trailer, is absolutely insane! Going bald???? At least you don't look like frigging Moses right after he came down from Mt. Sinai ROFL ROFL
Are you kidding me? Half the site has my home e-mail address! I've been busier with questions in the last month then in all the years I've been on the site. Leave this place... no way, this is my second home. Gotta keep those newbies from putting BOV's on their tail pipes...ROFL ROFL ROFL ROFL
It was pretty cool... by the time he left my house I decided to give him extra tires and race fuel. He could have gone to the frigging track at that moment!!!!;)
I just wanted to announce that Tyson McBride (ninjai_ruken) purchased my racecar today and will continue to race it!!! :rocks:http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?p=151136083&posted=1#post151136083:thumb:
I was getting a bit worried that the racecar might be doomed to the bone yard, stripped naked, a lifeless hunk of Corvette yellow metal, fiberglass, and carbon fiber, sitting dead in some scrap yard.SURPRISE!! :rocks:This past Friday morning at 7-am I received a PM from a DSMtuner...
