I feel like I've heard that sound before. I'd check and make sure nothings rubbing against the timing cover. I'd also check your timing belt tensioner.

Does your belt keep loosening after drives? If there new belts I've had to tighten mine a couple times from breaking them in.You could post your problem so others can help. I don't know if your going to get much traffic through your build thread on this problem.

You need to loosen the alternator to adjust that belt or you loosen your powersteering pump to adjust that belt. They may just be to loose.

Proud of you buddy. I've been there so many times and it's pretty hard to talk yourself out of something you know you can make great. I have 3 projects and my 4g swapped non turbo has been sitting and I swear I'm stealing more parts from it than putting on. You did yourself a favor if anything.

Do you have a proper restrictor for the oil feed to the turbo? If you ride that thing hard especially in the cold I've seen those ebay turbos blow pretty easy.

Yeah I live in a very nasty area so maybe corrosion runs through the connector itself. I'm no wizard in the pcm department but I can see why it's made how it is, with the pcm being under the hood as apposed to inside the car.

It's not fun working in the snow I can tell you that much. It's been in the 30s so not to bad at least in December. I used to do engine swaps and what not in the snow which sucked so I know how you feel or maybe I don't.
