You guys are spot on. I half assed the checklist and have not manually adjusted tps and yes I was using it to try and correct the maladjusted tps. I'll report back tomorrow with another log and tps adjusted. I've done a little bit of changes to some cells in my timing table also. I was rising to...
Really old thread but I wanted to know if OP ever ended up using the cryogenic bulb or if anybody has any experience from running it. I'm debating if I want to just spray the intercooler or use the intake tube with bulb. It seems like the intake bulb is more efficient.
Youll need the special tool for the tensionor pulley or ive heard of 90 degree needle noses working and if you happen to have the stock battery tray hold down, you can use that rod and threads once or twice for the tensionor arm.
1). Any boost, vac, or exhaust leaks? Boost leak tested 5psi above your max boost with no leaks? Tested at 25 psi, no leaks.2). Verified mechanical timing?

I'm looking for any and all active dsmer's in Billings and surrounding areas. These cars a dying breed in the area and the people that do own one should start networking with eachother. I'm looking to establish a car club that isn't a joke like 406 Customs. Good place to start would be to reach...
Go out and go do another pull until at least 5500 rpm in third. After doing a pull change your maf slider at 5500 to match boostest and actual boost, do another pull then change global by whatever your wbfactor was reading at 5500 reads. Now dial idle in again with your new global. One last pull...
That looks better. I learned the hard way when I first got my tsi 3 years ago. I didn't check the belt and not even 3 weeks into owning it I started it up and put it in first and as soon as I gave it gas I lost 6 teeth on my timing belt and lost 2-3 teeth at random spots around the belt because...
Picture is blurry but it looks like a puddle of oil sitting under the crank sprocket. Brake clean where you can. I'm assuming you have more then one oil seal leaking.
i know you figured it out im just curious do you have still have balance shafts? I usually just feed from the head since 2g has the oil port its just blocked off from the factory but a restrictor works just as fine It appears.
I sent that using my phone and it worked fine but now I'm on my laptop and its just a small black square. I can post the url if you cant see the 95+ ecu pinouthttp://www.dsmlink.com/images/forums/2GECUPinout.pdfNow you should be able to click the link and see the image. The rear and front o2...
What he said lol and don't forget to make sure the oil pump is timed correctly. There is a plug at the back of the block that you should be able to put a screwdriver in all the way, if you cant rotate oil pump sprocket again. Or you can hold the oil pump sprocket with timing mark at 12 oclock...
The new aem one I have just has a blue wire that you tap into the ecu and basically hijack that signal and then it reads what the wideband is reading. There are five modes on the AEM I'm using P00 which is 0-5 volts and then in link I can simulate narrowband so its doing both for me. P04 is the...
ok yeah so you can simulate narrowband without using ecmlink but instead of being able to log both 0-1 volts and 0-5 you can only monitor 0-1 volts. Still pretty useful though if you have a bad stock sensor. I wish I would've have gotten the x series or an innovatethough because my aem is...
The wideband being an aem is what he is referring to I'm sure. I think he wants to simulate narrowband using his wideband but you cant without ecmlink or some sort of piggy back or standalone. Correct me if I'm wrong though.
ive looked into using octane booster but ive heard that it will only add a point if that and the differences wont be noticeable. I wouldn't mind running a meth setup but the nice kits can get expensive. Id hate to invest into a nice meth setup then my luck E85 will finally come to my state. I...
If you are using the rear location then you would tap into pin #75 going into ecu on a 2g and #74 if you are using the front location. Do you have ecmlink?
haha I noticed it said 2012 I just said f*** it. I want to hit 30 posts so I can start picking some brains and people that really know their shit. Still no ethanol anywhere in our state and closest 93 octane gas station is three hours away.
I can take some pictures if you need. I used the stm -6an male to 14mm x 1.5 bubble flare fitting connected to factory hardline off fuel hanger assembly. Ran proclassic hose from tank to fuellab fuel filter. I only fill up at stations that don't put ethanol in their premium. We don't have e85...
I'm not too familiar with 420a platform but you cant install springs and cams without a way to compensate. I think you guys use megasquirt. Youll have to install the stock cams if you want it to run right until you have a way to tune for the extra airflow from the cams.
Your combined fuel trims go anywhere from 2 percent to 5 percent added so id increase deadtime a little bit. Your airflowperrev is at .21 which is low so id increase your maftcomp sliders up 0-100hz. You should also go to captured values and add LTFT Lo and monitor that.Coolant temp reaches...
You need to see what your a/f ratio is at with a wide band or get ahold of a scan tool and see what your fuel trims are doing to start or do what almost everyone else will suggest, save time and money and go Ecmlink. Safc is a very crude and outdated way to tune and it's becoming obsolete for a...
I haven't seen an awd for sale in billings for at least a year. There was a purple 1g awd for sale but idk what happened to it. Awd dsm is a rare and dying breed in this region.
Any other awds in billings? The only one I've seen driving in the last year and a half was a copper 95 gsx with a holset. And Josh who owns a gvr4. There's gotta be more then us 3
