Hey guys,Here to say go for it! I had no Trans experience at all whatsoever besides changing a clutch or two. I built my whole auto Trans in my basement and it was easy peazyy!Make sure everything goes back in the right direction, double, triple check. I put one "coned washer" in upside...
Finally got some wrench time in over the weekend! Warming up around here. My mint car is all ripped apart hahaEngine is mocked up, block will be painted black before it gets dropped in. Really hope to run this thing at the 2018 SHOOTOUT!!!
It's gorgeous! And thanks! They're local to me and I had to have one, sold off the DNP.I'll be sure to get more pics of it all coming together over the next few months. Hoping to be drivable by June/July!
I used to have yellow fogs and slightly yellowed headlights. The officer told me something like "abnormally yellowed lights are illegal in the state of Wi" maybe they just wanted to stop me quick lol
So guys after at least a good year of slacking my engine is getting torn out. Going to build something to make big power (600+ at the wheels minimum).. Running a 6466 Gen 2 precision with all supporting mods obviously.I have E85 available pretty easily where I live and definitely plan on...
Somewhat confused by some of your questions but I'll try to help,First off your fuel is going to be controlled by your FPR/injectors(and obviously ECU), so no a Walbro 255 won't be to much fuel because it wont be running full blast the entire time, it's what I would recommend and what almost...
You mean as in the swaybar flipped upside down? Just curious.Forgot what I did but I ended up resolving it. I think I possibly got parts for a 1.8 originally? Or I flipped the swaybar was awhile ago!
No man... You running an IPT re-stall as well? I tried 2 different tuners even, neither could figure out the issue, has to be a bad/ "to tight" of a converter.24-2500 is the highest I can hit and that's literally leaving the line with no boost. Sucks..
Back from the dead but I'm having the same issues if anyone else could chime in! Running an FP Green at 27psi and my converter wont spool up past 2200... and its a 4000 or 4200 restall IPT.
Clean off the bolt with a wire brush then try again? Some stuff can be corroded and need just a cleaning.Hammer on a socket you don't care about and replace the bolt :)
Same here, I got D2 Drag coils, all poly bushings, front croalloy crossmember from 99GST_Racer, Bullfab rear mustache bar, all new wheel bearings, Rear subframe bushings, all new balljoints, new inner and outer tie rod ends, manual rack, Motegi Traklites 15lb wheels, rear toe eliminator, and a...
Yes man sorry for being so inactive lately. I had a death in the family and have been kinda devastated and not messing with the car for a week or two....I'm not actually 100% positive If I used the correct part here but it's what Moog told me to do. I actually had a big hassle once I noticed...
Car is looking so much better than it was when I first got it :) At least in my opinion. I'm loving it.Please note these pictures are after sitting in a dirty garage all winter and being worked on. She's gonna shine up a whole lot more once I get the wax out!
So I ran into a couple of complete nightmares along the way of getting it back together. I have a car show I wanted to be at this upcoming weekend so I have been working day and night without taking breaks to do anything else pretty much. The original sway bar links wouldn't work with the new...
Stick with the 4g63 man don't waste the time honestly. Unless you totally love the car you have and want to do something different. The 4g63 was designed and over engineered to handle boost. People have ran almost fully stock motors at 500hp for 1000s and 1000s of miles without issues. A stock...
I'll actually vouch for that Taco Taco eBay one. Have had friends that had really good luck with them. They seem to be slightly better than a lot of the other eBay brands and I didn't know they made one.
Forgot to mention every wheel bearing is brand new oem! All of the hubs are also now NON ABS so I fully did the ABS delete :)Sorry for not posting more, full time school, work 6 days a week, flight lessons, I'm an extremely busy DSMr...
Well I got the Subframe back together and just got it in the car. I also POR15 the whole bottom are where it mounts in. This is basically a paint that prevents any rust, not that the car is rusty but I figured I'd get it done while it was out :)I also had to do quite a bit of machine work on a...
1g manual rack bracket. Only one of the two is different and Mitsubishi has been out of them for years!! Somebody like me for example, who has a rack and can't find the one different bracket anywhere. I would pay $50 if someone made one of these little dang things.
Buy the Megan 3in for like $500ish or pick up something high quality used. I've found the eBay ones rattle and sound like shit to be completely honest. Cheap piping or something doing it. Plus they rust!Invest now and don't buy another later :)
I've also seen wiring in the harness go bad mid way to the ECU. Depends on how nice your harness is obviously but a wire could have been pinched and separated internally over time. Check all the plugs with a DMM and make sure they're all giving you the same reading.
