Wondering if anyone on here has ever dyed their cloth seats? I've got a sparco seat thats faded pretty badly over time. I've heard things about RIT dye but still uncertain if that's the best choice. Let me know what you guys think, thanks!

Yes, the clutches are all the same, but you just need to make sure you have the right flywheel

You should definitely look into a new transfer case, if you lived closer to me I'd sell you one of the spare ones I've got haha

I'd say stick with the name brand tires, it might be a bit more money, but the quality is definitely a lot better

If the strut is bent that means it's lost its structural integrity. I wouldn't risk putting that in considering it's going to be holding the weight of your vehicle

Ask the guy if he changed the oil since the last time he started it (which I doubt he did) and check the oil for metal shavings

lifter tick is a common problem with DSM's, I bought my 3g revised lifters from partsdinosaur for a pretty good price

That mount is bolted directly to the body though, not the subframe

sorry if I'm mistaken, but if you're referring to a 2g there's no motor mount under the turbo, it would be in the rear under the intake manifold

what exactly do you mean by lagging? are the rpms climbing higher but the car isn't accelerating?

When a BOV releases to the atmosphere it means that the excess boost pressure is vented into the atmosphere as opposed to being recirculated back into the intake

That's a pretty high price for the model and mileage, I'd look around for either a gsx or TSI AWD, much more fun to drive and still a good DD!

Well if you were looking in the engine bay and you saw a 4g63 and a turbo you at least know its a tsi, next time you see the car look under it and check if it has a transfer case and a driveshaft. If it does it's AWD, if it doesn't then its not. But on my 97 TSI AWD I have the "Talon TSI AWD"...

the wheel hop might be from bad motor mounts? maybe even bad ball joints... there are tons of factors that could cause it to happen

Im not completely certain, but the car may be stalling continuously because it needs a tune? Do you know if the car has an EPROM ECU and DSMLink or SAFC? Also DSM transmissions are typically a little notchy, I know mines a pain in the ass sometimes haha
