Hey all, even tho I'm bandaged up, I'm still doing things that need done. My 20' dovetail trailer is getting front loading lights and a set of magnetic mountable rear loading lights, both on toggles on my trailer. All LED's. All 7" Spot/Floods for when we leave the track or anytime I need...
I run a B&M cooler and never had any issues. I'm not at home right now or I'd get you a picture and some size measurements Curt.
Hayden is another brand that I have personally used.
I don't use the public side so I can't honestly say. Sorry. Maybe media mail rate, but that can only be a book or some form of media only. Just trying to be helpful :)
I did that when I lived at home and had a storm come in that took out the electricity so we lit oil lamps and candles. When the storm passed, we went about our day but there was a smoke plume in the main room. I searched and found the fire, took all the lit stuff outside then knocked the sheet...
Bring the motor up to temp while logging then rap on the engine block with a wrench (simulate knock) and see if it registers on the log. Pretty easy (if you can get to a good area to tap on). Just one way.
Priority Mail starts at $9.85 for a envelope, $10.40 for the Small FR Box.
I gave you guys the best rate you can get, just like I do my customers. :thumb:
If you do it from home, I believe you get a discount but I've never used it myself. Just the services I offer all of my people at my window.
Yes you would. Click N Ship should allow a label to be printed. Guess the weight at under 8 oz and send it. It should have a tracking number also.
You can also put in for a package pickup by your mail carrier. I get them and our carrier picks them up on her route.
Well.....I was doing "maintenance" around the house and found several air leaks around my electrical box and my washing machine plumbing so I grabbed a can of triple expanding insta-foam and went to work. Now in this instance, I have to say READ THE DIRECTIONS......
My electrical box sealing...
Grab any padded envelope. Cut a PC of cardboard big enuf to fold over the spacer and fit inside of the envelope. It will be processed as Non-Machineable so it will ship as a Ground Advantage (replaced 1st class) package and should have a tracking number. Put a shipping label INSIDE of the...
If I may add one thing to this.....on the bottom of your hanger is the pump seat, as Brian refers to it as. It has a Phillips head screw holding it to the hanger. DO NOT TRY TO REMOVE IT WITH A SCREWDRIVER. IT WILL STRIP THE HEAD.
Grab a GOOD set of Vice-Grip pliers, grab around the edge of the...
I grabbed a set of digital calipers and my best (not SUPER accurate) measurements were that the injector "hole" is 10.5mm and the insulator recessed hole is 16.1mm. Both are close but not exact.
I like my twin. Stock (original) master and slave and the slave fell apart during the last motor change. It was NASTY inside. I cleaned it out, poured fluid into it and reassembled rather quickly so I am surprised it still works, but it does (or did, getting time for the new engine soon).
I can say that without "keystart", my car had one hell of a time starting. I mean literally 20 attempts before she would fire up. Now, turn the key and start. You need to fix keystart.
Double check your firing order just to be sure.
1-3-4-2 and on the coils correct?
Post in thread 'Firing order' https://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/firing-order.491116/post-153503568
Yes. Transition from low to high pulse widths are definitely easier to tune on the hi z injectors. Some large low z injectors just don't like going from cruise to WOT without a hickup or stutter or stumble and you would be tuning around a issue that is hard to go around smoothly. That is the...
Mine are in both places. I still have the use of the upper vent, but it's not directional now. I wrapped the vent plate with CF wrap since it was silver/aluminum and stuck out like a sore thumb. No obstruction with the 3 pod pillar mount for me but I'm short, only 5'8".
FIC Hi-Z injectors and be done. Choose the size you will NOT need (because you will). I run Hi-Z 1120s in a basically stock GSX. 2150s in the 2 others cars, just scaled to work. Idle is fine. No throttle peddling to keep it running. Those two big injector cars start right up and run like normal...
It's possible the crank had been to a balancing shop. My Eagle crank got a treatment like that (much more professional looking, but material ws taken off at the shop).
Don't worry too much about crankwalk, you had an automatic car. Most, if not all, crankwalk motors are from stick shift cars and a lot use a HEAVY clutch and don't get rid of the clutch pedal switch to start the car. You don't have that.
Have the block decked and head surfaced. It will seal...
It may just be the picture angle, but you look out of time.
Dowels up, ✔️
Level with deck, not in the picture.
I would recheck that timing, just to be sure. I had a motor that had head AND deck work and I had mine off. It didn't hurt anything but was 1 tooth off.
Just a thought. Don't want...
Unless they are plugged or not functioning, that car should run.
My son bought an old Honda and all if it's injectors we're STUCK. They are iron body injectors so I TAPPED on their bodies while running it on brake parts cleaner and they all came to life after 12 years of sitting.
I suspect the...
Okay for everyone's enjoyment (and head scratching).
Knock sensor hole is threaded all the way. I grabbed a bolt, ran it all the way in and wrapped tape around at the block level.
Here are the results, and also, I hack jobbed a $4 HF Impact Socket, just for ease of installation from now on as I...
Soooo......I took my sensor out and measured the depth of the hole at 19mm. Sorry it's a bit fuzzy. Hard to do one handed.
Then I measured the length of the sensors threads. 11.99mm, so it bottoms out on my sensor body for all to know. There are also "witness" marks on the body of the sensor...
I will grab a picture as soon as I get home. Give me about a half hour or so to post up.Mine is touching the knock sensor body it appears. I could try different sensors but the threads aren't tapered threads so if it doesn't bottom out in the hole, it would be the same.
Pictures. This sensor...
It is his way of saying "have your shit ready to go" so it doesn't waste valuable time. I am with Steve. People have probably bothered him too much so he put in his own disclaimer. I kinda like it. He is no troll. He is an upstanding freelancer that parts out cars, rebuilds them and tunes them...
I sent you a PM as a test. If you can reply through it, you have access. If not, let me know here please. We want you to have a good experience on the forum!

Plug them at their source which is usually the intake manifold on a port. They are EGR related and maybe the BCS runs its lines under the intake manifold, like that. As said, most, but not all of us, remove those items or disable them.
This is a good thread also about the connectors in our cars:
