I think mine are 12"s and I have two of them pushing, zero overheating issues. Works good and looks even better. I believe I got them from Frozenboost.
Thanks a bunch land speed. I will probably just use it as a wall ornament until a suitable project comes along, I just wanted to know what it was first. Thanks again.
Hopefully the images come in clear enough to decipher. I am looking at purchasing this turbo, but can't seem to get any numbers on it to cross reference. I was thinking it was an HT60, but from what I understand those are reverse flow. I Think the casting number on the exhaust housing is...
It the pistons are dinged make sure it didn't get close to the cylinder walls. Also make sure if you are going to reuse the pistons that you deburr any of the dents put in by the valves.
I would think it would have to pull a Lot of timing to cause almost no boost? It Is plausible I suppose.. It seems odd that the wastegate got stuck then a little wiggle made it good to go.. hmm.
I believe if you use some copper spray you can get by without resurfacing, but only if your block and head are pretty straight to begin with. I have done it with a felpro mls and didn't have any problems. Someone will correct me if I am wrong.
I know we aren't supposed to remind others of the rules, but I haven't been able to understand half of what the OP has tried to say. Sooo..Rule #5: Use proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation when posting in our Tech Forums - don't use texting/instant messaging lingo here. This isn't an...
That was so hard to read I don't even understand the point you were trying to make. Most people here aren't mechanics. Most have normal jobs just like you.
I must be missing something. You've owned the car for 9 years, but basically don't know anything about it? It sounds like your local mechanics are taking you for a ride.. Do you have any friends that are into cars? Even if its a different brand, they could be a lot of help, and a lot cheaper.
My 115hp D17 just cam walked.. but my 12 second 30psi stock bottom end 7 bolt is doing just fine. Maybe I should put a 4g in the Civic and cite reliability issues. But, I am very interested in how it all comes together. Who knows, you could bring something to the table to help out the community.
Quick answer : Yes. Myself and other people are doing it. You'll most likely need to add a black top CAS also due to the fact that the black case ecu doesn't play nice with the 2ga cam/crank sensors. If I can find links I will post them up.You will use CeddyMods in ECUflash as well...
It Can be done by just pushing the timing belt to the side. Not saying it's the best way. But, I had to do a water pump in a hurry and didn't want to take the belt off so I pushed it to the side. I used two binder clips on each cam to hold the belt on, and then a long zip tie to hold the...
My car (2G) came with Megans front and rear.. I was always under the impression that unless there is a 3rd brace point (such as the center of the firewall in the front) that they are pretty close to useless. Maybe times have changed a bit?
How does the ground strap look from the battery to the body of the car? My 2g did the same thing after a wire tuck - I forgot to hook the body ground back up.
Whatever you do make sure you don't just bondo/fiberglass over it like the previous owner of my car did. Like these guys say, do it right. I had a shell that had a good strut tower in it that i cut all the spot welds out of and just replaced the whole thing. I bead blasted it, painted it, then...
If you take off the lower dash panel under the steering wheel you'll be able to see all sorts of room. It is held on by 2 10mm bolts on the bottom and two bolts that are behind plastic covers (one on each side of the steering wheel). When I did mine I ran the wires from the right gauge to the...
I'm 6'3 275 and I Hated the factory leather seats in my 2g. I bought a set of suede 4g seats to put in. I also cut the back rail the the seat bolts to out. I now have miles of headroom, even with a helmet on :D
Yes, under wot the afr would be extremely inconsistent. But sometimes dead on my target.I think I have the issue solved. While putting the 98/99 ecu in my 96, I knew that the inverted CAS didn't get along with the ecu Sometimes. Well, as it turned out it ran good enough that I didn't think it...
First off, I have been a lurker on Tuners for a few years now. It has helped me on numerous previous DSM's, but the time has come that I can't find the solution to my problem.Car: Mods in Sig are up to date. Here are my issues:When cruising, AFRs according to the wideband will dip and...
