well, i would just stick with my car, but i just learned how to drive five speed about 3 months ago (im sixteen, learned on an automatic... just shaddap). not being able to control my tranny really bothers me... alot. and i want a turbo to go faster.on another note, i do like the top end of...

dude, i have the same problem as you. i dunno if my car is worth modding or not, just cuz of the automatic. the mileage doesnt bother me (125000) and neither does the engine (sort of crappy 420A). Im still looking for instructions for the 2G tranny swap though... i'll let you know

it sounds exactly like a misfire. my bro just had it on his car, we replaced the plugwires, and it worked just fine. His engine would skip out and just run really badly, but after the replace, it worked fine.

I had new pads and rotors put on mine the day i bought the car. Whenever i braked for about 2-3 months it sounded like a jet engine being slowed to a stop. I hope that helps....

all you need for a rear end conversion of a talon to an eclipse on a 2G is the bumper and the tailights you want in it. then all you need to do is get somebody to do the bodywork and any painting you want done. i would say all in all probly 300-700 depending on paint job, the bumper you get, etc.

I had a problem on my Talon when I got the car. It would stall out after about 20-30 minutes of driving, but it would always start again. The ECU was bad, and the dealer found a used one and replaced if for me for free. I was relieved, cuz it would have cost a bundle!

I had the same problem, turned out the coolant was low. The light was on for about a week in hot weather, but my Talon never overheated. I was more than a bit confused....

Yeah, sounds like the throttle is all screwed up, especially in your case, Mutted. I would do what HondaHunter said, maybe even get a new throttle assembly if cleaning it all out doesn't work.

My guess would be an exhaust leak as well. It also makes sense that it would sound like a grinding noise, and that it was coming from the back of the engine. Hope thats all it is, and not something more spendy!
