    Trip to Orlando from NY

What's up guys, just wanted to let everyone know I'm coming down to florida from ny, I'll be with family in melbourne but figured if a bunch of dsmers wanted to get together for a small meet that'd be cool. If anyone is up for it let me know! Thanks :thumb:

Speed sensor gear for bigger wheels?

Basically I'm just trying to go from the stock 16's on the spyder to a larger set of 17's or 18's but don't want my speedo terribly off. Thanks :hellyeah: that helps a lot! I don't know much about tires/wheels so I was thinking there'd still be like a 5 mph difference no matter what tires I...

    99 Eclipse GST 300WHP DD

Good luck with the build! I started out in a similar situation with me being 18 and changing the clutch on a 98 gst with no knowledge besides oil changes. The best advice I could give you is don't cheap out on parts because it'll end up costing more when the part craps out and do something right...

Speed sensor gear for bigger wheels?

I've been doing a ton of searching trying to find the proper way to recalibrate the speedometer/odometer for when I upgrade to bigger wheels and tires and all I've come up with is just people asking the location of the speed sensor and where to buy them. The most information I've came up with is...

    BOV on a automatic?

Yes your car comes stock with BOV, as stated the stock 2G is crap and the stock 1G should be fine for your needs. If you go aftermarket it's gotta recirculate or you'll cause more problems. Good Luck!

Missing Flywheel cover... not the lower inspection cover

Yeah you're missing the starter plate from the link you posted and as stated you'll have to remove the tranny, clutch and flywheel to install it. If I remember correctly there's 2 dowel pins that align it and if you are missing the inspection cover it can be found hereSTM: OEM MITSUBISHI...

    1998 Eclipse GST Complete Re-Build

Some time in November I purchased a whole set of gray interior panels to do the swap for my car. Only paid about $200 for all the pieces and all though there's some pieces missing it was still a good deal and with a little more cleaning they'll look real good! Since the weather was real nice...

Street Build '97 Eclipse AWD GS-T (2006 to Present)

This build is amazing! I have a red gst-t similar to what you started with. I just replaced the clutch and am hoping to make the swap to awd this summer! Keep up the good work :hellyeah:

What brand/weight oil are you running?

Which is cheaper and more reliable? Engine swap or rebuild my current engine?

I'm sure people do! I guess maybe whenever I see someone modding a 420a there's always those couple guys that try to flame them. Never really understand why people feel the need to do that
  13. BossGreen

    A.C. Outlets in 2g?

Doesn't look too bad however I think Id put the outlets inside the center console so it's hidden and looks cleaner. Just my 2 cents
  14. BossGreen

Which is cheaper and more reliable? Engine swap or rebuild my current engine?

It'd probably be cheaper to sell the car and buy a gst or gsx. Not many people on here really take the 420a engine on as a "project". Either way good luck to you!

Where am I leaking from? (Pic Heavy)

I find it amazing that no one's said it thus far but OP you said you have a 94 gsx but the car in your profile pics is a 95-99, probably a 97-99 since it has the 2gb bumper. Not trying to flame you or be an a-hole but some people will flame you for it. Sorry to be off topic, good luck finding...

    1AAuto.com Front Control Arms

Wow that's crazy. I'm pretty paranoid too which is why I wanna replace them now haha lately I've read about a lot of people's ball joints going out while they are stopped or moving real slow and the pics look nasty so I get worried how bad it'd be if you're actually driving at a decent speed, or...

    1AAuto.com Front Control Arms

I don't like to go cheap on things either but from the sounds of the review of the 1G control arms they seem to be of OE quality. Just hoping this is true for the 2G ones! ;)

    1AAuto.com Front Control Arms

Hey guys so I was trying to find a review I could trust or some more info on these control arms but I only found a review for the 1G control arms which seemed to be good quality. However, I am skeptical that since the set of 4 is $160 they're cheap quality. I was just wondering if anyone has had...

I believe the connection in the first picture goes to the light in the sun visors if thats what they're called.(little flip down things lol) I don't have them anymore so I don't remember and i believe the second pic is for the dome light. Thanks man. I appreciate the advice. I purchased a godspeed FMIC before realizing it was not a good kit so I may return it and than I'll be interested in that kit you can make. Would it be bolt on and as far as the color goes is that powder coated or painted? Does that affect its efficiency? Can...

So I finally got around to pulling the tranny and replacing the clutch. This was my first time ever doing anything like this and I'm pretty proud to say I did it all on my own. Took me pretty much a whole weekend because my ball joints did not want to cooperate. Lowering it down went pretty...

Evo X front bumper on 2g

I'm not trying to flame the OP or anyone who does like this but I'm not a fan of this at all. They're 2 different models a decade apart. To me it's no different that the supra tail light conversion. But as they say to each their own

    need help on paint decision

I vote white car, orange rims. I think if you like the look after that you should just paint it thought. Not a huge fan of plastidipped cars
  36. BossGreen

    Paint is DONE!!

That paint looks amazing! Good job, I plan to paint my 2g soon. I'm planning to do it myself and paint it green like the newer camaros. Again, looks great!

First off I have to say that your car is so sexy and done perfectly. I have very similar goals except my car's red. I was just wondering how much paint you used to do the engine bay? Was it gun or spray can? And finally if you ordered it online could you point me towards their website. Thanks in...

    1998 Eclipse GST Complete Re-Build

What's up guys! So in April of 2013, I bought a 1998 Eclipse GST for $900. The body's in pretty good shape, it has 133,000 miles on the stock engine and tranny, however it is in need of a clutch and the entire interior is shot and smells like cigarets.
