Yeah I've been trying to get link for a while to learn how to tune it and play with it, especially now that I actually wanna build the old motor and see if I can get an awd one going. It has a walboro 190 fuel pump in it.
I'm on a stock 6 bolt with a big16g turbo that is unturned, I use this as a daily driver, I do tease it every once in a while never wot, now my question is should I put the stock 14b back on it to daily drive it until I get enough money to tune it right on that turbo? Still on stock 450cc...
How many of you here have done the 6bolt swap using the magnus motorsports write up? And if you did, did you get any problems on the long run? Having a problem with my cylinder 3 not working properly and now I'm getting oil leaks on the valve cover and the exhaust manifold.
If you have a spare 7bolt block in the backyard just sitting there, would you build it back up from 0 miles or, would you sell it, buy a daily and build the motor you have in the current dsm(which is a 6bolt)?
Yes I fixed the hose as soon as I noticed that it had popped off. Well the turbo im running is a big 16g and there was a coolant line that went to the turbo if I am correct or as I remember. And yeah sorry about the grammar and the misspelling I typed this up at work and was kinda in a hurry...
this morning i went to drop my small brother at school at around 9, it was abnout a 20 minute drive on the way back i kinda stepped on it and hit boost at around 5k and as im turning the corner i see a bunch of blue smoke behind my car all of a sudde the car is reving by itself and i pull over...
I didn't notice the difference until now that I just got them in the mail that the label said "94up" and it said nothing about it being two different types until now that the part number I need is 107-6001 and I have the 107-6002 .
Would the 7-bolt arp rod connecting bolts fit on a 6-bolt, or could it possibly be even used like that ? I noticed they're 1mm difference would that mess anything up ?
But strange thing is that it doesn't crank even with 3 cylinders on 90 well it cranks but doesn't start all I hear is whining, then the intake manifold gets really hot in a matter of two or three tries(don't know if that's normal)
Would the car still crank if you get 90psi from all four cylinders ? Because I just got new rings and pistons and its reading that I did use an Autozone gauge and I have not done a leak test(yet)?
Does anyone know if the Bosch Timing belt tensioner adjuster is any good or at least as decent as the OEM stock one? my stock one kinda cracked :banghead:
in the image s that a 4g63 or a 4g64? because I need to find a replacement timing belt tensioner for it its the same model as the one on the example image
the first time i ran mine it started overheating and they said the thermostat was good and everything i just haven't got to try it again because ive been on this engine swap thing.
So I had my car running and I got back home turned it off and heard like some squeak when it was cutting off I start it again to check if it did it again and it wouldn't start this time first it crank but the cams rewinded, I couldn't see shit so the next morning I went to check it out again and...
Yeah I did the pan had metal shavings mixed with the oil and two of the pistons were fried the motor was gonna give out anyways, but were thinking about just rebuilding it taking parts from the 7bolt to add to the 6bolt because I heard that its better to have a 6 than a 7
Yeah it has the 6bolt in, I'm converting to a 1g 7bolt on a 2g eclipse because the CAS on the 1g 4g63 has it like right on the head across from the exhaust cam and Idk where the 2g 4g63 CAS was located because it wasn't in the same spot as this one those are my worries
im switching motors because on the current one im running it has a blown piston and i got the motor for a good deal froma friend, and its a1g 7bolt, someone said i could just slapit on like that ?
The setup came with the clutch and flywheel but not trannyOh and I'm switching because on the 6 bolt I got a blow piston spun a rod and bearing and got a better deal on the motor than to buy the piston kit
I currently am running a 6 bolt 4g63, and I currently bought another 4g63 but this one is a 7bolt would there be faults if installed and could I just slap it on or what would I have to rearrange to do so?
Hey guys I'm new to this forum thing but, I recently bought a 1995 eclipse gst with a 4g63 6 bolt when I got it it ran good then I started hearing a knock around the valve cover and cams many people have told me its the crankshaft or oistons some guy told me its about just lock up, can any you...
