It would be pretty easy to confirm yourself just sand where the mounting points are. I would say it is a lose wire or connection but with out seeing the problem first hand this is only a qeuss.
if there is a fwd fly on a awd the flywheel should be pushing on the bell housing and not letting to motor turn so if that's the case you could just try and rotate the motor by hand if it does not spin that's probably the problem. No they are not interchangable the awd fly is smaller
The spring rate of the rear awd springs are higher for weight transfer. I have awd springs on my fwd and from all i can tell is the rear end feels like a brick.
A good mechanical perform as good as electric signal wire . With that being said with new technology i would bet there almost on par with each other now days. I have noticed scene changing my oil gauge to a led its much more accruate when sudden changes happen but at idle it says i have low...
I stand corrected it just would seem like the paint would show heat transfer and allow heat soak..Allison is not a transmission company that are install in cars they are a heavy duty application part i wounder why painting there parts voids warrnty then hmmmm.
Aluminum is very forgiving it will polish back up. To anyone that tells you paint wont effect efficacy .Keep this in mind Allison a maker of transmissions will void a warrnty if they find any trace of paint on the aluminum housing. With that said Im not saying a inner coolier wont work if...
I dont see a reason why they would have painted the pipe but hell when taking apart someone eleses hack job there is no telling what you my find lol. This how mine looks
The paint does not hrlp cooling at all the aluminum is best left untouched if you want maximum effectiveNess black out just makes it not as noticable kinda but if u cut the opening bigger you not going to hide it anyway.
All depends what reading you want if you want super accurate open the cap and check temp there or I hit the side of the rad itself on the hot side to see temp coming out of the motor .:hellyeah:
do you have a boost gauge ? If so what is it reading at idle . i would not adjust the bss screw that just maskes the problem your having not fix it you can also check your icv to make sure its closed .
The only way to fix this is to drill a hole in the back of the bov and tap it run a bolt to put pressure on the spring. Its a crapy fix but it will get you buy for a while.
Ok so there is no adjustment my bad. but is it possible that you twisted the cables around when installing that would cause the problem also if they where not mounted solid.
I have seen multiple people have there car tuned at that shop and with in months motors where popped. A personal freind of mine had a new sti motor built and tuned there and when the tuned it they said that knock was ok and let it go ok the doors needless to say that 10k was blown out the oil...
Your not going to see very much pressure form the couple rpms the starter turns the motor over. If your have oil in your head you are primed fire it up and if you dont see pressure on your gauge with in a couple seconds then be worried and check things .
With out a wideband there is not going to be many people that are going to help you "tune" like this .
Even if your using a meter of your stock o2 its not accurate at all and by feeling a tune is a good way to pop your motor. With that being said I would a good base to start with low side -18%...
diesel is 10 cents higher than supper unleaded here. If your thinking track car your going to want to ditch the convertible now. Im afread your going to stick a whole bunch of money in this car and not like it just because you bought a dsm with the wrong options.
A 40 dollar laptop off ebay will get u tuning if your going to build a 700 hp dsm u are going to need on unless u plan on paying just as much in tuning as u did to build the motor
Get some if you tune on e85 you need to always run it if you tune on 93 the run on that. Its not like your old Honda that u could kust shove whatever was cheapest at the pump where i live Im stuck with 91 so Thats what i use look around u at gas stations if you see u can get a steady supply of...
Im confused at first we had 50k to throw at this build now we are waiting on paychecks. WTF But if you are going high boost you want low compression 8.5 if you want to use a smaller turbo with low boost and almost instant reasponds use 9.1. that's up to you but 8.5 pistons I would venture to...
