HX-35 BEP .55 Housing Results on 2G AWD(1/4 and Dyno)

Fwiw, i am still using a modified stock dsm drain line at the oil pan, 3/4" hose barb off the bottom of my hx35, two hose clamps and 3/4" hose and it has been working perfectly for coming up on almost a year now.

HX-35 BEP .55 Housing Results on 2G AWD(1/4 and Dyno)

The car will have some bc280/280's, dual springs, brand new valves, guides and seals and of course more boost and evo 3 intake with 1g throttle body. So she should easily be in the 10's with my drag radials on. Only time will tell though!

HX-35 BEP .55 Housing Results on 2G AWD(1/4 and Dyno)

I have been running that stock setup since September if i recall correctly. She held LOTS of street pulls (50+ without a doubt) but im fairly sure the motor gave up when it had its wierd random hiccup/sputtering in the tune at the 20-25psi and put alot of stress on the internals. I believe if it...

HX-35 BEP .55 Housing Results on 2G AWD(1/4 and Dyno)

Sorry to disappoint you guys but wont be giving you live results on my boost/ rpm spool times. My poor stock 7 bolt with over 100k miles decided she wanted no more on Sunday afternoon while casually speeding up 3 blocks from my house. 20-25psi and about 3500rpm car had a wierd stutter in the...

HX-35 BEP .55 Housing Results on 2G AWD(1/4 and Dyno)

Not often do i floor the car at 2500rpm and test the spool up of my car, but with a couple logs in front of me right now. At 3515 rpm going full throttle, i go from -5 in/hg to 35psi in less than 2 seconds. I practically never start a pull under 3500rpm now that the car is tuned BUT with me...

HX-35 BEP .55 Housing Results on 2G AWD(1/4 and Dyno)

Just for comparison, Im running a morrison fab consolidated runner twin scroll t3 manifold and hx35 @ 35psi on my bone stock 7 bolt in my 95 talon awd auto. I seen 24psi by 3400rpm and 35psi by 3900 rpm. The thing literally spools faster than my ported 2g manifold and 16g combo lol. At 35psi the...

Time for a turbo upgrade.. 68hta or hx35?

Im running a bone stock 7 bolt with literally only headstuds my 95 awd auto car with a t3 twin scroll hx35 at 35psi on e85, @MorrisonFab consolidated runner twin scroll t3 manifold and FIC 1220s. I have less than $4k in the whole build including buying the car LOL. Have ran a best of 11.55 @...

2G Slow Acceleration, Bad Mileage, Erratic Boost

Sounds like your stock t25 isnt enough turbo for you. They dont like to pull real hard, and max out completely at about 17psi. Get a front mount intercooler to help with heat soak of the stock side mount and make sure all couplers are tight and leak free. You have no mechanical issues it doesnt...

How the Car Gods gave me TWINS.

Cool story! .... dad ;). Glad you have learned to love these little beasts. And even dusted a local 11 second v8 malibu with a powerglide, 4:56 gears, trans brake and 400+ cubic inch stroker motor in your little awd beast. Just goes to show these things will blow peoples minds every day of the...

auto vs. manual: is it really THAT serious?

An automatic dsm will always be faster than an equally modded 5 speed. The automatic's hold a TON more power stock than a 5 speed ever thought about. 5 speeds have broke a near stock power levels while a stock auto with shift box has held 600+ all day long. Ive drove both and i personally think...

Sinister 9 second street build - 97 Talon AWD

Sorry guys, been busy and haven't had time to update.Car only has 84 miles on it still due to the oil leak ive been procrastinating fixing. Sinister 9 second street build - 97 Talon AWD

Well have another update, motor, trans and turbo now have 67 miles on them all... been fighting an oil leak that is under the timing cover that I just cannot pinpoint for the life of me, I have now had it off 3 times trying to locate and fix the leak. I just want to be able to drive the car so...

    water pump install

Its a very tight fit, it could be possible to remove the w/p with the timing belt on but I really wouldn't try it... just do your standard timing belt job and w/p replacement at the same time and mark that maintenance off your list. It would be much more recommended to do it that way

Intake Manifold comparison. Jmf street vs ported cyclone.

After the dyno results are in, you should test the difference between the jmf street and jmf drag ;).How much faster does it revv up top through the top end of the power band compared to the cyclone? These results are going to influence my manifold choice for sure :thumb:

    2G A/T Solenoid Issue?

Thanks for the clarification knochgoon24.It doesnt sound like its the problem... But the manual valve is something I that can be very easily broke when installing the valvebody back In.In order to check that you pull the trans pan, look at the passenger side of the trans when someone moved...

    2G A/T Solenoid Issue?

    2G A/T Solenoid Issue?

On a 2g your 4 solenoids are for reverse, 1-2, 2-3 and your lockup converter....what you said sounds logical about it grounding out but I dont think that is an issue due to not having a neutral solenoid. I would check the transmission connections under the battery area and make sure theyre...

Can not shift into any gears, pulled transmission

Add 1 Gal Race Gas to my 91 Tune?

Every weekend I went to the track I would buy $20 of 110VP and add it to about 1/2 tank of 91 to help with any knock and lack of octane. Also let me push the car a little harder on the tune as I was able to add another 1-2 degrees of timing in different spots, but was only able to when I added...

recent upgrades drastically changed the performance of my car, please help

Make sure the TPS connection is nice and tight, ive had mine wiggle off before and cause issues... it really sounds like u have a MASSIVE boost leak, when my first dsm had a huge boost leak it would buck and sputter really bad like you have been describing the whole time.

I all but promise that fixing the oil return line will bring all of your spool back.... as for the drain line, u could have take the stock drain and cut the flex section out of it and used rubber hose to connect the two. Works perfectly, doesnt leak, easy to maintenance, and a very cheap...

recent upgrades drastically changed the performance of my car, please help

Actually gravedigger the oil return line not being big enough will cause lagging turbo spool. I know of 2 guys on here who upgraded their return lines to a bigger size and got about 300-400 rpm better spool with ONLY changing the return line size and nothing else... both were running holsets...
