You really need to inspect that block I had a guy try and sell me block with a broke rod and replaced it burthen rod chipped the cylinder wall where to had to rotate the crank to see it so be careful

I'm new this but AS I read and re-read the diagrams I don't believe you can just leave the hoses hanging because that would cause a vac. leak but a thought would be to put a screw in the lines so you are blocking off the vac leak. Correct me if I'm wrong. everyone

the gasket he is talking about is the gasket that goes between the head and the manifold you can pick them up alot of places put a new one one and tighten the bolts down
