I want to relocate my battery, and I already have 4 gauge wire going to my trunk.. Most kits come with 2, but do you think 4 would be sufficient? Also am i supposed to use a fuse? If so how many amps? I'd imagine the starter draws a rediculous amount. Thanks-matt
it would help if you specified which wire harness... if you're talking about for the radio, just pay the 15 bucks @ circuit city for the right one... rather than a used one for 5 or 6 + shipping + waiting a week to get it. Places like wal-mart and meijer have really cheap new harnesses... i...
I mean, if you think about how it works. It's garuntee'd to give you at least some power. Even if it's only a couple of horse power, for 50 bucks, that's extremely worth it! co2's really cheap to refill too
Ive heard some good things... i wouldnt go by anyones numbers unless they've been dyno proven though. Anyway, if you can get the kit for under... $120 or so, i'd say it's worth a try. good luck! :thumb:
i'd put all your supporting mods on way before the turbo. It just makes more sense. It would be 100's of times easier to get everything to run properly. (fuel pump, downpipe, exhaust, tubular o2, 660's, SAFC, FMIC)
Ok.. Today I installed an apexi SAFC. I started the car, it would turn over but it wouldn't start. On the 3rd or 4th try it started up, but it would idle normal for about one second, then stall out, then on it's own start back up... hit normal idle...then stall back out...ect. eventually i got...
I have a simalar question. I've got a heavily ported 16g, walbro 255, exhaust, intake, few other things. 95gsx, i'm ordering 550s very soon. Would it be a bad idea to run the 550s for a month or so without an AFC? or will it just be way too rich? Also, what will the idle be like? I dont want to...

If not.. Exactly how are they removed? I have 3 10mm bolts taken out from each headlight so far, one on the top of each, and 2 on the side of each. thanks.
hmm.. well, my car has 130K miles, (95gsx), and i've never came across a problem i couldnt fix with my extremely limited knowledge of cars. Then again, my friends got a 1st gen that he absolutely babies.. and he's had problems left and right. (not to mention less than 90K miles).
not everyones goal is to have the fastest car out there. and depending on the exhaust setup, i'm not so sure that it would melt the bumper. I know on my greddy evo, I dont think that would be an issue, but i don't think I like the visibility of a huge spark plug bolted onto my tip. :-/
well, just as i thought.. as soon as i started it up after putting on the exhaust, it threw a code and its running hella rich. :-/ I know that the simulator is just some form of resistor to keep the voltage optimal. Does anyone know where i could find a schematic to make something? Or- does...
i bought a greddy evo cat back with test pipe, and while i was taking off the stock exhaust, i broke the o2 sensor. I was told to get a simulator since i'm no longer going to have a cat, and i need something soon, because i'm sure the car won't run right without anything there.
Have any of you taken any of the honeycombs out of your intake? I realize that the middle one is necessary for the MAS to read correctly, but do you think taking the ones out on the side will put anything at risk? I tried it and it runs a little rougher..I put them back in since i wasn't sure if...
whats the easiest way to tell if an O2 sensor is bad? My air fuel gauge never goes past lean, my exhaust pipe is black like i'm running rich, i'm going through gas like crazy, and i'm hitting fuel cut if i have less than 3/4 of a tank. I think it may be the o2 sensor since it seems like i'm...

there a local shop, with a very very very repuitable name. Although the website isn't as professional as it could, the name i trust. Its the product that is questionable to me. I don't see how it could be a big performance upgrade.
this post is rediculous!! posts like this ruin the dsm forum. Its preference!!!!!!!! If you want to use one of your feet, you buy an auto, if you want to use two, buy a manual! I think the driving preference is FAR more important than the performance, if this is going to be a daily driver. Also...
I just noticed the MSD pump is rated for up to 500HP (like the walbro 255 high pressure) I was just wondering how this pump compares to the walbro. Also it looks like it is an out of tank pump, so how exactly would it be used for a DSM? any info is appreciated. Thanks! :dsm:
whats the easiest/best way to gap them? I have the little round thing that determines the gap, but what is the must precise way to get the perfect gap? thanks.
I have an RFL BOV. I had 6 washers in it, and last night i added a couple more. My question is if i'm hurting anything by having the spring tension so tight.. If i let off fairly slow at 5 PSI or less, it makes a very quiet fluttering noise, but not quite like compressor surge like i've heard on...
All of those oil additives (the entire aisle at an auto part store!) are just fancy bottles that ALL DO THE SAME THING! They either make your oil thicker, or thinner. :p
ram chargers!! Got my ultra lite boost, air fuel and water temp all for around $40 each. They're awesome. www.ramchargers.com. I'd go to extrememotorsports.com for the autogauge pod. (IMO its much nicer than the lotek)
does anyone have a good o2 sensor they'd like to sell from a car they are parting out, or know the cheapest source of finding one of these? I recently installed an air/fuel gauge and it won't go past lean.. and i'm 99% sure my car is running fairly rich.. which leads me to believe i have a bad...
