They have 2.6 engines (g54b). Either esi-r, tsi's (flareside) and the flatside's. They are RWD. Fullt independent suspension all the way around. They are cool cars. WAY before there time. Most had leather seats. All are turbo. The flareside's are intercooled. They had a option hood that...
Well guys, its time for me to go to school. I have to move to NC and probably wont have the internet for a while, if at all. I just wanted to say bye to all... I'm gonna be in the mooresville/statesville area. If anyone wants to hang out call me sometime. I dont know anyone in the area...
You messed up when you put the fiberglass in there to fill the hole. More than likely the fiberglass has cracked around the outline and that is what your seeing. The area needs to be rid of rust then weld in a patch panel. The fiberglass will work for a while, but do it again.Laterz
basically the fiberglass fits tight against the amp with a flange that the amp screws to in the opposite direction than normal. Instead of screwing from the top down, it screws from bottom up.Hope this helpsLaterz
Check your power supply wires at the head unit. I wouldn't think that the power antenna would cause the whole system to quit working. Check the fuse under the hood too. I once had it blow for no reason. Check that you have a 12v constant and on and off with the key.Laterz
Depending on what your going for (spl/sq) I would recommend 12" subs. Great low bass with highs to go along. 15's are to low, 10's are to high. I have two solo-baric 15's in my car and its way to low. I built it for comps. Now I'm going to go with some 12's I would recommend both kicker...
I would test fit it first. It would be bad if you went and had it painted and it fitted like crap. Also, the hole can be filled with something called dura-mix. Its a type of glue used to fix urethane and plastic type parts.Laterz
Go ported or sealed! Bandpasses suck in a hatch. I have tried them all. Ported is the loudest, sealed good all around, bandpass SUCK!!! I wouldn't put a bandpass in anything. If someone gave me a bandpass, I would cut it up and make a ported box.Laterz
Hmmm. Fusion coming off? Thats a first. I have yet to have any part painted with fusion peel, fade, ect. All look great.Second, a acrylic primer, the type you described in the passage above, will not stick to the interior panels. I dont care if you sand them with 80 grit sand paper. It...
www.teamprototype.comThey have fiberglass door panels. I personally have had no problems with my door panels. I had the original set, and got another set that were black. Neither have problems...Laterz
It depends on what your trying to do. For show I would go all shiny stuff like audiobahn. For sound, neither. Are you going for SPL or SQ? What type enclosure are you using? Give some more info.Laterz
Crossovers wont be hurt in the doors. Mine have been in there for years. The stock wiring I wouldn't go over 150w on. I would run a new power and ground though. The speaker wires will be fine.Laterz
Run the factory amp. You will need to get the wiring harness adaptor. Then you will need to find the remote wire to the amp. Here's how: Take a volt meter and find the wires that have power on them when the key is on. then hook up the aftermarket deck and again check the wires for voltage...
If you have an infinity system factory, there is an amp under the passenger seat on the 95-99's. You will have to send power to the remote wire on the amp. Take a volt meter and find the wires that have power on them when the key is on. then hook up the aftermarket deck and again check the...
Lets make this simple. Ask for Base coat/clear coat poly-urethane. You need to find a car that has the kind of paint you want and tell them the car so they can get the paint code from it. Make sure they are gonna block and buff it out. You wanna put clear on everything, door jambs and all...
All of them are about the same. It's like pepsi, coke, and the off brands. I have used almost every brand out there. Bondo, 3M, evercoat, ect. They are the same. You can take the hardener from one and put in the other. Overal, 3M's stuff spreads the smoothest, too me... lolLaterz
I know its a 6 bolt motor, but the 4 bolt diff. I dont know. The car doesn't smoke at all. Not even when you crank it. The guy's son drove it. It got side swiped on the quarter and he bought another car and put a quarter on it. My cousin bought the car he cut up. He's gonna fix it too. It...
I'm looking at a 92 talon AWD. He wants $2000 for it. The car has 124,XXX miles on it. The interior is in show room condition, as good as my 99 was when I got it. The car has had a rear quarter panel put on it. I have done this many times, and its done right. Decent paint on the car, only...
Again, depends on what your wanting to do. Walnut shells do good for removing paint, without damage. Glass is more abrasive, then you got sand. I would prob use a #6 glass for a general media.Laterz
I bought a air cylinder kit for my eclipse. 1/2 valves, lines, cylinders, tank, compressor everything. I'm installing it now. From what I hear, ride is decent. I really dunno yet though.Laterz
I use the simpson HTX shoes when I race. Great shoes for what I do with em. Really keeps the heat down, especially when the header is right beside your feet.Laterz
Poor dude. You know thats gotta suck. At atlanta dragway, a ford focus detnated(sP). When it blew up, It peeled the firewall back and parts of the head was in the passenger seat. The car was not even a year old. Thats what he gets for hiting the nitrous off the line.Laterz
Mine gets water in the edge and it wont evaporate quickly. Like If it rains or I wash it, I have to wipe the water out of my jambs. Then again I have blitz sides too. Did the same with my stockers too.Laterz
I know on the 2g's, you can use the stock bracket. Then take a peice of something like plastic or alum. and cut a peice to cover the hole. Then on the backside either screw it in on some, or you may have to glue it. That or make something out of fiberglass.Laterz
This Thread Is Useless Without Pics!!!No, really welcome. You should like it here. Its a great forum, except all the anti-ricers on here hating on the n/t boyz. I guess they are jelous that or cars run and dont break down.... :laugh:Laterz
The paint on the cones is a bad idea. The weight of the paint on the cone would slow the reaction of the cone down. It would be like weighing you down and making you jump jump rope, it just doesnt work very good.As for painting the amp, the paint would act like a blanket. The heat...
I would go with the lip, molded blitz high sides, and blitz or even better buddy club rear. It would be like mine, only with the lip.Thats my .02Laterz
I looked but cant find it. Here is a link to the CAPS. It has the part numbers for 2g's. I didnt see it listed in the interior parts section. All else fails, junk yard... Hollar if you dont get one and I will give you mine off my car.Laterzhttp://www.2gnt.com/CAPS/main0sub0.html
