Hi I have a 1990 eagle talon awd but the only problem is when I bought the car the transmission grinds from 1,2,3 gear. So today I bought I use transmission from a friend for 350, thinking it was good but when I installed the transmission today. I notice that 5th and reverse where hard to get it...

My problem got fix. I found out that my isc motor was bad the motor wasn't working good. So I replaced it and I got it to run better but now I found out that my head was leaking oil to the intake manifold so right now my car is getting a head replace with some arp and cometic head gasket.:pray:

Have you look for vacuum leaks? Try to do a boost leak test.

Check your idle air control valve my was doin the same I replace the iac and it work better.

I tried swithching the maf with a good one but it still does the same thing... Am trying to look for more problems but just can't find anything. I also took of my safc and connect everything back the same way but nothing change.....

It couldn't be the fuel pump because I replace mine with a255 walbro and its still running lean... :cry:

My bad I installed the safc the right way I just had two wires mixe up but I got it working. Thanks for the help but my only question is that I bought a use throttle body from my friend and it has the fiav block off should I take it out or leAve it? What would happen if I leave the block off...

Alright I did a boost leak test and found out that my seals from my throttle body where leaking. So I bought a use one from my friend but I notice that the fiav is block off from the bottom should I unblock it or leave it like that? What would happen if I leave it on?

Am not gonna use it on the n/a turbo. Am gonna use it on my 1g tsi that I bought. But I already found one for 120 I just need a wideband to tune it right.. But thanks for the information..:thumb:

Well the safc it turns on if I connect the power and the ground to a 12 volt battery.

Alright I bought myself a used safc but when I connect it doesn't turn on and I was just wondering maybe I connect it wrong ### when I turn on the engine it doesn't turn on but whe the key is acc. It turns on. Could this mean I have the wires wrong or a bad safc...

The only reason I when with the bigger injectors was ### switching from a 1g maf to a 2g maf it requires bigger injectors ### the 2g maf has a greater air flow.

Yea I tried running the car with the maf unplug it runs a lil better with it unplug but I just have to change gears at 2000 rpm. am gonna try and test my o2 and my isc tomorrow how do you check for a good o2 sensor and also am gonna look into replacing my fuel filter.

Ok I tried putting the 1g maf sensor back on but it just seems that makes it worse like every time I connect it I try and give it gas but it dosent rev it takes a while to rev. I got a 90 eagle talon tsi awd. I got a rough idle. I try looking for vacuum leak and dint find nothing I recently converted the 1g maf to a 2g maf thinking it would chance idle but nothing happen and today I notice white smoke coming from the muffler just for a minute or two. Please help.

Am telling you to check those two relay ### I had the same problem with my car one of the relays controls the coils.

Check the fuel pump relay is the two on the driver side firewall there should be two of them.

is your car leaking oil in to the spark plugs? If it is change your valve cover gasket. or try loking into your map sensor or tps ( throttle position sensor) a faulty sensor could cause your car to backfire and die.

If your gonna go turbo with 8psi of boost you have to buy some bigger injectors and a fuel management if you try running your stock injectors the car is gonna be running like crap. If your trying to build your engine I got some use wiseco piston and eagle rods for sale that I only used for 12 miles.

I tried looking inside the fork to see if it was damage but couldn't see anything so am just gonna take down my transmission.

Yea I still got pressure on my clutch. I took off my slave cylinder to see if my car will roll on gear. The slave cylinder was good the car keep rolling when I put it on gear so am just wondering if my clutch got stuck or my transmission when out.
