just throwing this question ou there, what are the effects of worn motor mounts?. my talon's motor mounts are worn out and the engine moves a considerable amount, about 1 inch when you shift from park to drive, when accelerating, i guess my question is what causes motor mounts to wear out?? and...

Does anyone have a little diagram, that shows where that hose on the intake goes to?? the starter was replaced, and i think this was removed from somewhere around the starter. i just cant see from where.

So i recently have a nasty fuel smell, it is stronger when the car is boosting, what can this be, mpg is really poor, after a few times spooling the fuel gauge moves significantly, what can it be??. also a hose that goes on the intake tube is disconected, evap??

so i got a 14b, opened it up, and i noticed that its kind of small. the housing says tdo5h. my question is does the t25 fit on a 14b housing?? how big is the cold side and hot side of a 14b?

yeah i only get the shake at around 55mph, weird thing is, it only happens after a while of driving, maybe like 30 min.into driving, its a side to side shake, the steering wheel turns into a paint shaker!!

so i have been having some issues with my transmission. it's a A/T if you press on the gas pedal lightly it will shift properly, but if you want to take off quick it wont change gears untill it hits 5,000 rpm!!, is this a vacuum problem?? the fluid is good and it has a bottle of Lucas in there...

So i have been doing everything you guys have said, and i still haven't seen a difference, the sound is still there. is there another way of purging the system?? how can i tell if its my rack an pinon?

Wassup guys, so i recently removed my gauge cluster to change some bulbs, and took off the speedometer, but i must of put the needle wrong, because its off by about 10mph how do fix this??

Question for all you guys with a Talon TSI, my car started smoking just a little, but it also gives off a weird smell, only under hard acceleration, it smells a little like oil and gas,i think im running rich, how do i fix this problem??

Okay guys so, i took off the reservoir cap turned the wheel all the way to the right and all the way to the left, i held it for a few seconds on either side, and still that annoying sound is there!! what gives.??!

so i recently changed my Power steering pump because it sounded like crap and no matter how much power steering fluid i put in it, it never fixed a thing, i even put some lucas and nothing, so i decided to get a used pump, and i still have the exact same issue, it sounds like its grinding when...

that's what i was thinking, the high rev will make the gear slam but what about the gear changes while driving i have to press on the gas very gently.

so i pushed the little t25 the other day to full boost wich. my boost gauge showed 14 psi but it only lasted about 5 seconds and then it stopped making boost as if i had released the throttle, now the talon does not go past 30mph. i checked the plugs and they were full of black soot all four of...

like my buddy said we checked a lot, we took out the radiator and checked the flapper it did not seem to be stuck, i dont know what to do and as far as the plugs go its kind of weird because the plugs where not sooty black when the turbo was working, they were tan now they look really bad plus...

i checked for shaft play and theres a little bit (side to side) about 1 mm.

yes the gauge shows vac and it also shows boost 5psi to be exact, and like i said you can hear the turbo but it only hits 5psi and then starts to sputter, i also noticed the lower ic pipe is a bit loose can this be the problem, it was working fine before, i was running full boost for about 5...

no i dont have a boost controller, i should of mentioned that i have a bone stock talon, stock t25 only thing on this car is an auto meter boost gauge

i lost all boost yesterday i was driving and did 80 and all of the sudden the boost gauge went to 0 you can hear the turbo spooling but it doesnt boost as if something was dissconnected what can this be??:banghead:

ok i will do that thanks for the input i did tighten the hell out of those bolts i dont think it cracked but the bolts should have about 5-6 lbs of torque!!

i know i have seen it somewhere in the net and ive searched everywhere and cant seem to find any so im thinking it was a custom job wonder how they did it . maybe brake fluid cleared them HaHaHaHa!!

dont do it yourself guys, its not a very good idea if you dont have much knowledge get someone who knows to help you. timing on these cars is crucial move it a little and your car will not start.

as far as i know is almost always vacuum leaks, i usedc to have a vacuum leak on my jeep and when i hit the gas the leak was even worse making the idle be all crazy? it can also be your throttle body just like LOU98GSX said try all of this and see if it helps.

I have a problem, the power steering pump is very noisy it sounds like it's grinding when im idling or driving, i checked the fluid and it was full and good, i took some out and put some Lucas int it and its still doing it,it also leaks a bit. What can this be do i need a new pump?? :hmm:

i think its coming from that emission solenoid because i touch it and i can feel the ticking is in there but thats just me, hope its not a lifter ill try some lucas and see if it goes away. thanks

that clear coat is prety bad only fix is wet sand with 150 grit untill all your clear coat is off and respray it. if you dont want to do it yourself take your car to MACO im not really sure if they do just hoods and bumpers, but call and ask, i see that as the best option.
