I've installed them in my head and used the stock seats, and the evo springs retainers seemed to work fine for me. I have about 20k on them currently. Why evo springs? They are cheaper, have less miles than most dsm springs, and I believe they are an upgrade.
I actually broke my handle off 90 gsx(my sunroof is the same as the second picture) There's a big difference in how they mount. The first pic should have two hole mount style and the second pic has a 3 hole mount (like a triangle) I've been looking to try to find the correct one for my car. It's...
That's a very vague, question. Every engine is different first off. Also number will depend on more than just what pistons you run. It will also be determined by what your deck height is on your block, head, and finally how thick of a head gasket you will run. Since its a vague questions I'm...
Thanks all. It Just seems a little weird to me with them only being rated for such a low tq. That 6 puck sounds good. But most of my driving woild be in the city
Hey guys, I'm clutch shopping currently and trying to see if anyone has used a competition clutch stage 3 before. If my math is correct then Their advertised holding capacity over stock is 150%. So 203tq*1.50= 304 wtq. I don't think that this is correct. But if it is I just wanted to see if you...
My buddy just put down 800 awhp on his evo 8. It was tuned at AMS and they told us that he needs the 5 1/2" ETS kit for his "street car" this was on a PTE 6466
You might be the only DSM'er complaining about your car having new found power. lol I noticed in the winter time my car runs alot better, when I had the stock side mount on. Even in like 60 degree days its great. The first pull is always the best pull. Then its heat soaked lol.
Put a multimeter on the battery and check voltage there should be right around 12v. Also check for any loose grounds. Even with a bad alternator the car will still run (like crap) but with a bad battery from sitting will also cause it to go click. If you get the car running check the voltage at...
:hmm: You need to something to compensate airflow with fuel. If not you will blow the engine. Dont count on getting 300 without some tuning. Maybe 250, I would go with a 16g, and 550's. Keep it at 15 lbs and be happy. I would advise at the very least to get a WB.
Can you please explain to me why the OP needs kelford 280's to make 400 whp? Kelford cams run big anyways. In most cases the 272's (actually they are more like 274s) share similiar grinds to that of competitors 280's. Hell even 264's would be fine for 400 whp...To the OP:
An evo head will not...
You need to be more specific, There are motor mount inserts, that just simply push into the preexisting oem mounts, or there's "solid" mounts, both of which are two piece. If your looking to go with a completely new mount then just purchase and energy suspension mount.Edit. Yes you need to cut...
Well if you went to the dealership to purchase them, you probably either got some old ones that have sitting on the shelf. (keeping in mind that our cars are 20 years old) I wouldn't worry about it, and no I highly doubt that Mitsubishi would try to put something on a part to make it ware...
"Shimming" Refers to Shimming the pivot ball (little round thing inside the bell housing of Trans.) You shim it out further so that your clutch fork arm has less travel. You should really look into reading vfaq.com its a great site with a lot of helpful knowledge.
St. Louis huh, we are not too far away considering my Fiancee's family lives in Merril and Perrington. The stock t-25 boost was like 15 psi (I think) from the factory if I remember correctly. And if you're running a 14b with a stock wg then it would only be pushing 10psi. So less boost equals...
I dont think you overpayed. I just recently bought a very clean 90 black gsx for 1500. Interior is mint, ETS fmic, and thermal exhaust, with no engine for 1500.
If your car still had the braket to support the IM you chould've pulled off one of those hoses while trying to change the starter. I've done it before also. Good luck.
I never knew dsm's came with a carburetor:ohdamn: and we have coils too lolz. To help the op out. Check for boost leaks. Check to make sure that you havent switched the plug wires and ran them the wrong way. I've have my CAS 180* out and it still ran fine lol. A little miss. It could be an ECU...
Its seems to me with a smaller hot side on the turbo it would be choking the turbo off up top. Why do you think that FP doesn't run a 6cm hot side? I would recommend at least a 7cm if not an 8cm with a goal like 450awhp.
You should try searching the forums and then you will find your answer. Will it fit, yes, is it easy to make it work? Maybe, The problem with the evo 8, 9 turbos is that the compressor cover is on the opposite side of our dsms. Much like the engine in an evo. The intake goes out to the drivers...
