Well court is next week and I can honestly say 3 weeks ago.. I was still unsure.. 3 weeks ago my son had to be taken to the local hospital due to servere pain in his abdomen area. He was diagnost with gull stones. I contacted the mother via textes and informed her what was going on. Since that...
I torqued them down to 105ft/lbs and no.. I didn't retorque them after a few heat cycles.. I thought since they were L19's I didn't have too.I was always on the assumption that when you lift ## head it just starts to overheat. I wasn't aware that it would blow out the gasket the way it did.
Here are some close ups of the other 3 piston holes in the head gasket... seems to me that it may have gotten alittle hot .. I can see some metal showing through the gasket material around the metal rings. Could that be from to much heat or maybe my head lifted???
I'm assuming it's cylinder pressureSorry about leaving that info out.. yes a composite felpro hgYes I was logging.. no knock at all. The only issue was my ait pigtail came undone so my ait read -40. That's the reason why its only getting 13* timing.. in the tune its set for 15*timing. I'm...
Well last week I ended up toasting my headgasket on a small pull. This was on a 5mph to 105mph pull at 31.9 psi of boost spiking to 34psi. Its a parts store felpro hg with L19 head studs. Not sure what caused the failure. The tune was spot on with only 13*timing on e85 with a/f around 11.9...
I thought about the whole signing over rights and I'm sure she would but I just can't ask that... I don't even know if by signing her rights over will void her over due child support.I guess it's the good hearted person inside me is what's making this decision so hard. I'm really not thinking...
I'll try to sum this up as quick as possible. I have had sole custody of my 15 yo son since he was 2. Last year we went to a court hearing because she had failed to never pay any child support ever.. even though she was ordered to do so. At the hearing last year she was over $45, 000 behind ...
I think it would be easier to just buy a used assembly unit and be done with it. Good luck with your search. I've personally have never seen just that part before being sold.
Not sure if your auto or manual but on my auto my rear motor/tranny mount is directly over it. Its by the fire wall and lower subframe towards the middle of the engine bay.
sounds like your cam angle sensor is starting to go out. It happened to me the exact way your discribing. Once the cas gets hot.. it started misfiring. Just a thought.
I personally dont use saftey wire because its not available for us to purchase the bolts predrilled. I dont have the equipment to be able to drill my own bolts. Im assuming you need a special drill bit.
Im surprised there not on sale yet. Its a great looking flexplate...bolts right up with no issues... Ask me how i know... Sneaky.. Sneaky....lolBtw... No extra starter plate needed :)
With your budget.. Doing a small rebuild is your only option. Like stated before.. Replace the rod while the motor is still in the car... Thats your cheapest direction. Just be cautious.. Cheap fixes wont last. And as far as the 6 bolt swap.. You will be looking at alot more $$$.. ESP when you...
If your pushing coolant than the head needs to come off and the hg replaced. Have the head checked and put some arp head studs in . If your radiator is crappy go ahead and replace it with a nice aluminum one. Your car will thank you for it.
Why do you need a extra starter plate? We do have a option now.. kiggly is fixing to release his flex plate for the 7 bolt any day now... its quite a nice peice...
Just wondering if people are tack welding the flexplate to converter bolts on the kiggly flexplate? Just wondering if the problem persists on the bolts loosing after the install?
Was doing a pull from a 20mph roll and started hearing a clunking noise. I let off and babied the car home. The following day I went to jack the car up and placed it on jack stands. I already had a idea that my torque converter bolts may have back out. As I spun the crank over and started to...
This may be a stupid question but I wanted to make sure. I currently have a in tank jayracing pump 342 and I just ran out of fuel in my tune.. running e85 @30psi seems to be the cutoff. I can get my hands on a walbro inline pump but not quite sure if it will help or hurt. Logic tells me it...
Ive been running Weisco for about 4yrs.. The same pistons for the last 3 yrs. Ive boosted up to 32 psi . I just did a rebuild to jump up to 10.5cr pistons and the ones that came out were not cracked at all. Ive had positive results with Weisco and will continue to run them. I say its more the...
I went ahead and contacted NX express about the jetting for e85 fuel since there isnt much at all about it. Here is the response. Hope this helps You all out.Single nozzle jetting for e85 @ 40-45psiHP Nitrous Fuel35 31...
Just go to a title company.. here in texas its around $300 and you will recieve a bonded title in a few days. Why waste time trying to figuare it out on your own and running around town.. when a title company has been through it many times before.
Im running kelfords 272's with my 6152 dbb and I cant be happier. Im revin to 8200rpms without any issues. As far as the other cams.. I have no first hand experiance. Hope this helps.
When I was running a 16g turbo ony auto I went with 264/272 combo.. Worked great. I would look into your future goals.. If you think you will want alot more power later down the line maybe alittle bigger cam setup might be the ticket.. Gives you room to grow. But expect lower vacuum at idle ...
Great.. Ill cneck that connector out this afternoon if it finally stops raining. Could you elaborate alittle more on how to test a circuit with a load? Thanks
I am having a big issue with not getting spark in 2 of my cylinders. Before anyone says I should use the "search button".. I have been the last few days. Heres the issue.. My 2g started running on 2 cylinders the other day as I drove down my street. To make a long story short I went online to...
Well my issue is im getting spark on my left side coils. Ive replaced the coils.. Transistor.. Cam positioning sensor.. Crank angle sensor.. And swapped ecus with know working ones and still doing the same thing. Plug wires and plugs are good. Im thinking maybe its a break in the wires.. I...
Well I have link and since I have a 95 ecu I had to swap the wires..I tested the wires using the method below and both crank and cam wires tested good....Here's the factory test proceedure for the 99 that should also work for you. Note all voltage measurements are to ground.
- Disconnect...
Ok guys.. heres the deal... I was driving and my car stalled on me. HAd it towed home and come to find out my #2 plugs arent firing. I verified this by pulling them and visually checking for spark. they are getting fuel. Ive replaced the CAS,CPS,transitor, both coils and ecu to try and...
