hit me up if you need mounts. like donnie said, they are made for a dsm/evo 1-3 block. can run 6 bolt or 7 bolt, but need the 7 bolt timing side engine bracket.
always good to start with your goal, then determine what HP is needed to reach goal relative to your weight. A 68HTA is bolt on and quick spool for ~400-450awhp. If you need more HP, then you need a bigger turbo (or nitrous or both).as for responsiveness from a roll (in controlled conditions...
but they still last long enough that it doesn't matter. car will probably rot or head gasket pop before it matters lol. But as we had talked about, sleeve a 2.4l if he really wants to spend the time and money sleeving.
I can't take all the credit; came from a discussion with @donniekak when planning my MR2 build. Ultimately, I decided to keep it simple and did the standard stroker with K1 h beams and Wiseco HD pistons and an Eagle 100mm crank. If the car was only a hair more race oriented, I would do a 2.0l...
Yeah, he could also google honda's oem rod ratio for a k24 ;) they seem to think it will last a very long time and not have warranty issues for worn pistons skirts, bad ring sealing from worn sleeves or bent rods... :D
people have been running strokers in DSMs and EVOs for years and many 10's of thousands of miles. will it wear more than a 2.0, yes. will it wear enough to matter before you change up the setup, sell the car, break something else, LOL, probably not.why not rock it without sleeves,,, then IF...
No plans for records with the car. I don't want to cage it and ruin TTop life. My wife and I really enjoyed it. I did just order some new tires that meet "hard tire" no prep class rules so I can have a little fun racing it. Probably not enough power to keep up with the turbo or nitrous v8's but...
Another successful airport round trip. ~18mpg on e85. Not awful for no lock up on tq converter.Next steps soon, need to order some new rear tires to meet hard tire rules and swap front springs to lighter to help for weight transfer in new prep. Also will be doing front ball joints, inner tie...
2970 with me in it. Including small subwoofer. Haven't corner scaled it yet, but would expect 35/65 F/R.I recently removed the AC compressor for now ~15lbs and will also be deleting the power steering items guessing 10lbs. So will be ~2945 until I add AC back in at some point.
I did a thing :Dmade my own mounts, had to notch/plate frame to fit auto trans7 bolt, eagle stroker crank, 2g head, kelford 272, kiggly springs, hla, k1 rods, wiseco HD pistons, built by @donniekak

Great work bud! Showing the world DSMs can compete at a high level and survive! The post that started it all in 2019...mission accomplished.Hey Tony,,,,Funny to me,,,,I had been following this thread since 2019 and never realized who's it was until I posted this week LOL :D. Disconnect...
Nothing crazy, but I've been 9.65 at 143 at 3300lbs at only 37psi with a t3 super99 on a divided t4 manifold with an adapter. Obviously, plenty of juice left in a super99 above 37psi. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.
I did turbo LS, powerglide in my 3000. Loooong build thread. Many pics, changes, breakage. Might be helpful for you...

Rocky Mountain Race Week is doing an event in place of Drag Week. Still spots open! Going to be a cool mix of Rocky Mountain and Drag Week cars/people.
Hey guys, this project is unique because we started with a roller, missing A LOT of parts and wiring harness cut up. Building this with my son(s) for my oldest boy (16) and documenting it vlog style on youtube.
I do now. But ran 25psi on stock 5.3 internals. I have buddies running 30-40psi on stock 5.3 internals (need to have a big cam and turbos and keep the tq down, revs up and they hold a bunch of power). 5.3 record holder runs 4.60's in the 1/8 at 2600lbs. Stock 4.8 record holder runs 4.9x/7.80 at...
Hey that's me! lol. Yeah, we me and my boys are doing RMRW again this year. We might do the 10.0 class and just run street tires and pump gas so I have less crap to do at the track and just enjoy the trip and racing. Having the boys was extra work compared to others, but totally worth it!!! Also...
As I said earlier, 100shot. sprayed as low as 2500 rpm, which is about as worst case as you can do. The point is, it was a completely "wrong" setup for autocross (welded center, locker front, too big of a turbo, way too heavy car, not nearly enough tire compared to others) and yet, I made it...
Guess everyone telling you, you can't autocross it didn't read my post. An FP black is significantly smaller than the s369sxe I ran. Big shot of nitrous does wonders, if it's allowed in your class. My car was setup primarily for drag with a welded center diff and locker front. BUT I took 2nd in...
I ran a 100shot on my car with a borg s369sxe to spool for fun and autocross. I wouldn't be scared of nitrous. I pulled 1-2* of timing down low when spraying and of course had proper fuel control. (AEM standalone).
700-900 is a big range. Then 900 to 1000-1100 is another big range. That's a drammatic difference in turbo size between even 700-900.
What's it weigh and how fast do you need to go for classes/races you intend to run?
http://www.forcedperformance.net/ for turbos.
http://www.forcedperformance.net/xr400-84-htz.html I'm running this on on my LS with a T6 housing. Aaron Gregory has run it on his 4g also, will need quite a bit of nitrous to get it to light off, but it will make some jam.How much HP are you...
totally understand. my brain was fried planning out the LS swap by building a custom front subframe and control arms and making changes when things didn't work 100% as planned.
Attached doc has some of the basics of doing a 4g63 swap in a 3000GT/Stealth using 4Gswap.com mounts. If you use a 91-97 dohc (turbo or non-turbo), the stock wiring harness can be used to make the swap about as plug n play as you can get. A 2g dsm has the same ecu connections also (some pins...
