We made something to get it out. We took one attachment for the puller welded a piece on it ground it down to a hook shape then wedged it in so it wouldnt come out. Then pulled with a puller and it came out. I'm just glad that it wasnt all scared up since im doing this on a budget so I can sell...
Thanks for that link. That is exactly what I needed. I guess I'll be going to the city to get one. Do u know if I can just get the attachments since I already have a slide hammer?
Since you already replaced the cts. Check for power on the wires see if you have power coming in and power coming back out and how far you have power. Maybe a broken wire somewhere along the lines
Ok im not going to argue about it. The op did just state that he does have a broken spot on the CTS so maybe he should fix that then report back if it starts or not. Good luck tho
Im not really sure if it does or it doesn't. All I know is if u go outside and unplug it your car will not start since the coolant temp sensor is needed to make it run.
So are you guys saying take fuel away and add timing? I guess im not really sure. im getting a new turbo and putting different injectors in. Then ill be at this again.
How big of a pain in my ass will it be to put my 1200cc injectors in and switch to e85? I mean if I already have to change all this stuff up I might as well do it at once.
Above your clutch pedal theres a rubber boot on a rod pull the boot back and see if theres any fluid in it since you only looked for leaks under the car. Doesnt mean its not leaking on the inside. Good luck.
This should get you to where you need. Quick qoogle search for 6 bolt in 2g dsm.http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-engine-fuel/152329-how-do-6-bolt-swap-what-you-need.htmlThis should get you to where you need. Quick qoogle search for 6 bolt in 2g dsm...
I had this problem about a month ago. I had to change out my slave cylinder. But since I waited so long it pretty much destroyed my clutch also. If you fight with the slave to long it might end up ruining the springs on the clutch. Sometimes its nice to get carried away to inspect stuff while...
I have a brown and a white wire going to the 4th pin in on the top left side of the big plug. Then I have a blue and a white wire running to a ground. Is this the correct way?
I cleared the code and it hasnt came back on yet also assigned lc1 to the front o2. Also notice my wideband gauge reads like 14.8 when link says its 15.8 and so on. Is this common or what do I need to fix that issue. I thinks its going to be a little better tomorrow just really cold out. I...
Ok will do. But not to sound like a moron or anything why are my afr's going up to 19k and sometimes higher?Ok well I got the evo8 settings on the car but now its to icey to try any 3rd gear pulls. Although it would be really fun to go play around on it but id rather have this thing right...
Yeah im using stock maf. It went haywire so we changed it out. Then the other day I changed the clutch out and forgot to plug it back in but I thought I cleared the code for it.What do u mean I dont have a pin assigned for narrowband? Should I be simulating it or no?
thanks snowboarder. ok here are the logs. the first one is the half throttle. Im pretty sure that it isnt in narrow band simulation but ill double check hopefully you guys can help.
ok i went advanced but i cant find the files when i go to find them. It finds ecmtuning but it wont find my datalogs. But when i open link there there. im confused
Ok so i have a 92 tsi awd that has a 255, big 16g, 3in exhaust, fuellab afpr, 680cc injectors and a lc1 wideband. I got the car with all this stuff on it and it was pretuned on 91. Im having some weird afr when i hit about 5500 during a wot pull. If im half throttle its no where near as bad...
I had a cheap ebay one on my 86 monte for 3 hrs before it crapped out. I wasted 40$ on it. The only good thing it had was the gauge. Other then that junk. The diafram didnt leak the spring bent cause the ball to get lodged then I got that fixed. Then it started leaking out the sides where it...
Id recommend a ball hone and new rings. Do a leak down test and compression test. That wil help decide if it is actually your rings or if something else is wrong. Good luck
Ok so heres where I'm at now. I got everything done the starter turns but won't engage are the sheilds that much different that the starter isn't hitting the flywheel or what? I don't really want to pull the trans back out.
I know this has been gone over way to many times but I'm having a issue that I could not find. Everything is hooked up the way I read it should be. When I hook my battery up with keys not in my SRS and battery light and some other light are on. The car will not turn over at all. What am I doing...
You should be able to. My friends 5 speed was bone dry and drove it for 2 weeks or more before he realized something wasn't right. Something has to be holding it from going in. Almost like when my shift fork was broke it would go anywhere.
I got a xs power manifold so that's on there. I was going to build on but haven't decided how to go about it yet. I do not have pictures of it. My hot side is 1/4 inch above the roll stop and I would have to completely remove the passenger side of the bracket that mounts to the block.
So I searched for my answer and didn't fond anything. I am building a drag car with a gt45 but myhhot side sits right over the roll stop. It makes it so I can't hook my drain tube up. I removed it so I could hook everything up. What should I do to keep it from rocking?
Nope not a evo flange. I have no idea I guess I got a killer looking paper weight. I still have yet to measure the flange but it fits a t3 size on one side and t4 on the other.
Yeah that's about where the location of the turbo would be. I didn't have time to measure the bolt holes of the flange. The header looks way more solid then most of the cheap knock off I've seen. We had an unfortunate death in the family today so Ihhaven't had much time for anything.
Well its way different from my t3 flange and its no where close to my t4 flange. Does the new evo use this style of flange?Ok when I get home from work tonight I'll measure it. picture was taken with phone i dont know why it turned out that way
turbo23 is his screen name. check out his drag race build there is pictures of his an set up in it.http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/dsm-build-journals/427423-1gb-talon-tsi-16g-methanol.html
Thanks Justin. Looks like I got a good looking paper weight. I don't think I can bring myself to use this...unless its possible to have it rebuilt with good parts.
Well the mag us says magnus the bbk throttle body says bbk the eagle crank says eagle the wiesco HD pistons are still in the box and the scat rods say scat those parts I know are real the header and turbo don't really care about those that was just a take me I'm in the way. But the eco 8...
i bought it in a package deal with a 2.3 stroker that hasn't been assembled yet a magnus smim a dnp header aem cam adjustable cam gears fidanza flywheel and 2 act clutchs for a decent price.
If the car you are looking at is a 98 it should already have the black box ecu so there shouldnt be any reason to get a new ecu. Just a thought and would save a bunch of money.
Thank you very much for that it really helped me figure out where i went wrong with it. It now works flawlessly and is actually more fun then the manual. Worse part about it is when i go to start the car i still try to push my clutch pedal down.
well i thought i was moving in the right direction. Now i have a reverse valve body pretty much. I think ill just call kiggly tomorrow and see what they say
