ok makes sence now..so 01226 is not the same as 01226p in the diagram above, and 01226 WILL work on both dsm as well as Evo. couldnt find any dimensions on them but saw an 8 dollar difference between the 2. thanks alot for the clarity and again y'all are awesome!

ok so the mivec intake and the exhaust are not the same in the evo IX, but the exhaust side on evo IX is the same as the exhaust on 2G? is that correct?

just a quick question, does anyone know if the mivec (intake)cam position sensor housing gasket on the Evo IX is the same as the cam position sensor housing gasket on a 2G DSM? (exhaust)

If this is removed will this throw a check engine? produce drivability issues? untill it gets shut off during tune?

hey all, been searching to find out what this sensor is. trying to eliminate all if not most emissions-related stuff but have been unsuccessful on identifying. the sensor starts on the driver side of the intake manifold goes under the intake manifold. thanks in advanced!

I myself would pull entire motor, like you stated more room, less knuckle busting is always a plus, it involves a little more (electrical, axels, shift linkage, etc...) you would also have the chance of fixing and replacing other things with ease...timing belt, balancer belt, water pump, pulleys...

A few months back i heard about ECUFlash and you could use it along with EvoScan to tune and log with help from the Tactrix cable/flash plug. I have recently downloaded ECUFlash, paid the 25.00 bucks for EvoScan got the 2.0 cable and flash plug, Donated 5 bucks to ceddy and got Rom 20550011...

But yea, its called a tubing tee (3/8 X 3/8 X 3/8) is the size and they do have them at Advanced Auto Parts here in CO, dont know if you have one of those in your area but the part# is 47343 about 4 bucks.

line sends coolant to/from turbo to help cool it, remove the T, loop the coolant lines. install turbo timer to let hot oil drainback out of turbo. while car is at idle (due to turbo timer) turbo cools "naturally" with no coolant....stock turbos dont necessarily NEED the coolant they dont get...

i think you may need an evo 8 ecu to flash tune in a 1g but i could be wrong. you do not have the required OBD2 plug under your dash as the 2gs do. As well as the flash port connector that sits next to it. in the case of the flash port connector it is possible to hard wire that into the ecu

cap it and buy a turbo timer. one less thing to leak
