Sounds like life ... But from one dsm'r to another, How about you help the kid out. Obviously he doesn't know how to fix it or it would have been done. But you make a good point, I hate getting the crap end of the stick in a deal gone sour!.. Good luck to both guys in this deal.:thumb:

It's always nice to click on someones profile to see what they do and don't have. You say you have link, Say for instance the OP clicked on your profile and saw that, then maybe the OP would ask how you like it. But for you to just randomly jump in with"i would toss the SAFC if you're...
Crankwalk isn't as common as you think. I've seen 6 bolts walk, In fact any motor can. But when It does it's more commonly found in the 95-96 4g63's.
I think people just get a little worked up over the 7bolts crankwalking lol...If you're worried about it, drop the pan and check the...
There isn't anything wrong with using a SAFC. Lets stick to the question the OP started this forum with. Judging from your profile, your not even talking out of personal experience.PS. Both safc and safc 2 are the same
You could try ISP racing if you wanted to take the drive to Beltsville. Brad Brooks does a lot of tuning there. You can see a few DSMs on youtube he has tuned.
That's all you need. The bumper, headlights, fogs and fog bezels. You'll have to wire the fogs. It's not a plug and play. I also needed spacers to bring the fogs out to meet the bumper.Good luck!..IMO keep the rear bumper and spoiler. It looks good
Yup. It lasted 1 night before I noticed what I did. Whats funny Is I removed the reflective backing only to paint the surrounding area. It was just a dumb mistake so to correct it Itook them back apart and cut the high beam center cap and put HIDs in. Low beams actually weren't bad but put HIDs...
Restore your OEM lights (3M restoration works best). IMO the tint on headlights is dumb but to each his own. I baked my 2GAs took them apart sanded the chrome and painted them black. Had to restore the 2GB lights also (only paid 20 bucks for them though)
yes. everything bolts up.beforeAfterOnly thing I had to do was shave the inside of the bumper to fit my FMIC and use spacers to bring my fogs out. Took more time restoring the lights than doing the actual swap
Yea they are!. I went with a friend and happened to see the car. I feel lucky, especially because It all was in such great shape. (minus the headlights, but retore kit and some elbow grease fixed that)
I converted my front end a few days ago. Went to a local junk yard and got everything for $70(front bumper, fogs, side markes and inserts), spent $20 on headlight restore kit and had some flat black paint already laying around. So junk yard or craigslist. Good luck
Got inspired and went to the junk yard where I am, Got everything for $70 then took some time to sand and repolish the headlights, cut the bumper accordingly around my front mount, made spacers for the fogs and painted the bumper. This is how she turned out.. Under a $100
Good.. Hondas are good starter cars. Your going to have headaches with any tuner style car. Especially after getting a taste of real horsepower because the itch for more is always there. A car will last depending on how well it's taken care of or how big the horseshoe up your ass is ;).
It...
For the price of the GST, It's worth checking out. You can get a great trans with all the extra cash your saving. Plus it already has tasteful mods. Call and find out about the rust all the info Is there.. I can't do it all for ya haha ;). But your def going to take a trip outta town for a...
Ha... PAY ME LOL.....http://delaware.craigslist.org/cto/2777262228.htmlhttp://hartford.craigslist.org/cto/2794995298.htmlI believe this is like your back yard blaah ^
too much. . If you have the cash, then maybe looking 2hrs away and taking a little drive out of state might benefit you more. The car has a half ass 2GB front conversion, no fogs, sidemarkers or inserts. The mirrors look like ebay junk with missing covers on the inside, wires all over the place...
$860 with blown motor but the trans and clutch were 2 weeks old when he threw a rod out the side. Car had been sitting for over a year, the guy bought a motor just didn't know how to swap it. Yes that was included in the sale;).......
Thanks for the input guys. I understand everyone has different preferences on turbos they'd use. Whether from personal experience or clients. But as for me I'm only interested in BBs. And really interested in the PTE 5862cea and what people have heard of it.
I haven't had any problems yet. (knock on wood) The exhaust has been on the car for over a year and this pic was taken last week. (currently in the process of doing rust control)
Sorry the picture isn't that good. (taken from cell) But If you notice from the muffler (back to front) It's basically molded around our fuel tanks. Ill try to get some more pics up but it won't be until monday when I get back to the shop. . .
First off, I hope everyone's new year is off to a great start!... (Im just going to jump right in it).I moved my eclipse today from one bay to other at work. (It currently stays there, Just completed the build about a month ago) While in the process of swapping the cars around, I noticed...
^:applause: I didn't even attempt to look at the bumpers lol... IMO, If you want to stand out, put the car on a nice stance (ride height) with a fresh (new) paint job, tint and a front lip. Carbon fiber front lip and hood are very nice and will help you "stand out"... Good luck
If you can find a hatch, yes that will be easy and probably more money in the long run. Find the 2GB spoiler your looking for, Remove the one you have now. Fill the the holes, either patch with bondo or get welded. Mock up the holes for the new 2GB spoiler and drill the holes. Then enjoy =)...
First start since build.... Im also assuming first time with the 20g?. If so, most ppl upgrade injectors. What size are the injectors? Do you have any type of EMS? You could be running rich and need to adjust fuel.
actually no, it's pretty neat. I picked it up from the last shop I worked at. I also use an electric oven in my garage, temp @ 300. rims, valve covers, smim - anything that will fit I'll do it!
Im in fredericksburg and we do street tune at our shop, But as far as closer to you than ISP is good. . . Whenever we do a dyno tune we use theirs (we tune tho), It's one of the best dynos in the area... What are you tuning with?
I don't know the future plans for your talon, but I would just spend the money on the fliudampr. Considering the harmonic balancer is a main factor in bearings and crankshaft problems.ATI is the best IMO but very expensive and only needed If you plan on making a lot of power
WOW! West coast is pricey... I payed 250 for my shell with 75k miles with blown motor and perfect trans lol... Im the lowball person at first, never know what people say yes too
