those are found at any car parts store they are originally square and white and snap into the bumper you then run the screw or bolt through your plate into it or through your plate light bracket into them. they are sometimes sold including the screws and I believe there are at least two sizes...
calan i hear what your saying ive used contact cement plenty. im a carpenter we use it alot in kitchens and custom doors countertops etc. check out mercury adhesives. weve had problems with contact cement debonding on countertops when they are transported on a flatbed truck on a hot sunny day...
crawlin, it lloks to be mostly caused by improper surface prep. the steel is shiny meaniny its smooth.....i took a grey scotch pad to the steel first then took a fine applicator tip in my ca bottle and kinda wicked it into the foam and onto the steel then clamped it straight where i could. after...
kudos to you if you try it but isnt it pointless if both masters are still there?
all you would be eliminating is the clutch reservoir which isnt that big not something that grabs my eye and says "must remove"
but to each his own and good luck to you on making it work.
wow i am an idiot i build and fly model planes and helis and never thought to use some of the specialized glues i have. they are all cyanoacrylates just different viscosties and strengths. im gonna take some before and after pics and post em when im done ill get started this afternoon.....
anyone ever had any lusk regluing the dash pad back to the plastic/metal behind it?
the dash is in great shape other than this and i hate to get another one because of this. basically pullin loose above glovebox and side towards drivers door.i just dont think that the spray adhesives will...
id say a good 215 hp... 700 tq.... at least!!!!!
if you put plenty of stickers on thatll add at least 25 more hp and a stereo that rattles everything in theory will add a good 10 to 12
no man its hard to tell
go spend some cash and get it on a dyno is all i can tell you
it actually goes behind the flywheel so youll definitely have to pull the tranny to do it and remove the flywheel too. there are two bolts behind it I believedsm graveyard stocks both new for the 6 bolts for like thirty bucks for both
ditto to what liquidx told you take the extra time to pull it off its easy enough on these cars. by smearing it along the outside your just wasting your time and sealant
pull the vc and run a small bead dont get carried away a little goes a long ways be sure to not to overtighten it either...
i would do a black plexi one for you if you wanted one i would need your center trim piece you pay for shipping and the plexi.......the plexi would be permanently attached to the trim piece.... no screws.
already bought a full three inch exhaust buddy I was just sayin what I saw on the one I took off the car. It would need to be a 3 inch now anyways. I just dont know why they are really that necessary if the car was engineered well enough with the hangers wouldnt that give enough to not need em ...
So does that make anything name brand you buy from ebay now an ebay brand?
Like an ebay iphone or an 07 ebay f150 hahaha
hey everything ive bought from ebay has worked great for me and I saved money doing it.
I wonder if the srs units are mostly made for use on a stock system meaning they would be made short to use the included reducer/increaser pipe to the stock cat.
Think about it....If you bought a cat delete system it would be the same length as the stock downpipe with the cat installed. The...
No my guess a cheap autoparts store.
I just hate the fact that you could spend alot of time misdiagnosing a problem when crap like this happens
Problem is with me my car would idle high and drop down really slowly til warm now it still fires up high stays there maybe 2 or 3 seconds and idles...
Just do an ebay search for megan racing test pipe
50 bucks plus 30 shipping for me.
DO you still have the factory exhaust on it though?
If so a muffler shop may be your best option because it would be a 3" test pipe necking down to factory size pipe.
test pipes are same in as out so you...
I thought I bought some 9.8 ones from ace hardware before
arent they 10x1.0 or were they 10x1.25?
I think the biggest problem would be the conical washers pretty sure they dont sell those but I reused mine never leaked.......
okay I wish I had takin a picture but I didnt......I did find out what happens is when you get one of those cheapy auto parts store ones which i'm guessing that one was the intake side of the flexpipe will eventually come apart at the crimp and the exhaust gases force the inside flex material to...
no when i bought the car it had a rigged up flexpipe on it. Someone had takin a flexpipe that looked to be to big and try to close it up by over tightening it :nono: . so i welded it up and a couple other spots ahead of the cat only to find the muffler seam was toast along with a coupe other...
Has anyone ever seen the inside of a flexpipe collapse?
I just replaced my exhaust on my 1ga talon and I cut everything up to make it easier to handle to scrap it (btw factory cats here bring in 45 bucks!!!!) and when i cut it open next to the flexpipe (side closest to cat. converter the...
camber will kill the inside of a tire. most too much toe in will scrub the tread of the tire away. too much negative camber and toe in combined will show belts within 500 miles. most road race cars have negative camber for handling and compensate with toe out. so they wont kill the tires as...
I know youve been all over the place with your clutch issues and I hope the twin disk setup you mentioned works for you.
It just seems to me that too many people have issues with upgraded single disk setups that are designed to hold with more power made by the engine. I just almost want to...
did you open the hydraulics when installing the new clutch? ie opened the line by either opening the bleeder or loosening the banjo bolt the hard line attaches to on the slave cylinder? sounds like you either have air in the lines or the master cylinder p.r. ;) is adjusted out too far blocking...
thats not toe in there buddy you need to adjust the camber.........toe in is just that (think pigeon toed) i.e. turned inward. you have too much negative camber
(top of tire leaning in) sounds like you need some adjustable camber bolts. these will replace your bolts that join your strut...
Hallman aluminum mbc's stock boost pressures are when the boost controller knob is turned all the way out. It takes a few turns to build the psi with the lighter spring(lower boost pressures) installed seemed like the heavier spring (higher boost pressures) didnt take as many to get it where I...
and be sure to replace both inner and outer wheel seals
I think i had about 150 in new wheel bearings and seals on both sides of the car
and shop time in taking the hub assembly in and letting them do the work!!!!
I know when to let them do some things for me they only charged like 35 bucks...
Well guys I'm getting ready to wrap up my Talon build and i'm curious as to routes you guys have taken here.
I really like the feel of the factory seats (light gray leather) but they are trashed (i think anyways)
Are there any companies out there that sell replacement covers (I would even do...
sounds like your not done bleeding yet..........your clutch that is did you bench bleed the master first?
as for the squeak check all pivot points under the dash as you push the clutch with your hand i'd check those first. shouldn't be too hard to pinpoint that problem
good luck!
I was pretty much feeling the same way....lol
I get the idea of supercars using it for bodies and monocoques but highly doubt they cover up a steel or flexible plastic bumper with it
not impressed here.
go all the way I feel make a mold of the part you want and have one made in carbon...
ill put money on your pp fingers being too flat and not allowing enough travel to disengage properly
I just bought a 91 tsi awd a month ago with this issue and tried the easy stuff first ended up pulling the tranny and putting on a new fork and pivot ball (btw it was a act 2600) replaced the...
