you can't really say it's to much. Some areas it's harder to find these cars. In mass where im from a car with that many miles would probably go for 1200, down here in Mississippi where I am now it would go for 3000.
did you buy it from a private party or a dealership? Most states the lemon law only apply to cars bought at a dealership. And even then when you sign a bill of sale that says as-is or no warranty you usually give up that right.
Just figured I'd stop by and fill you guys in. Found out my old eclipse snapped the timing belt, only had about 10k on it. I think something was telling me to get out of it, lol. Gonna try and pick it up again. Rebuild again. trying to grab it for about 400.
I don't think Dsm's have problems. I though all cars do if they're not takin care of. It doesn't matter what it is, if you beat on it and never do maintenance it's gonna have issues.
Both of mine are still in their seats too, they are 2 and 4. Then you have me, I'm 6 foot, 220lbs. Nobody sits behind me lol. The wife has her car but she broke down about two months ago and started getting worried, if something happens to her car they're stuck. So we decided that I'd get...
So after a lot of thinking I traded my gst. I didn't want to but the eclipse just wasn't practical as a daily driver with two kids. I do plan on getting another someday money permitting. I think I made out pretty good though. Even swap for a 98 jetta vr6. Let me know what you think
The manufacturing if a car normally starts a year in advance and they usually hit the lots in September. So your car being a 96 could have been bought in September of 95.
You could have a piece of exhaust pipe bent up and grab two couplers for a cheap way out. Hard piping isn't going to hurt gas mileage, it will just give a little faster spool.
Any part store should have them. They'll be in the help section. There is also a way to delete it with resistor and stuff which I'm planning on doing. I'll post a link in a sec.Edit: http://www.vfaq.com/mods/O2bypass.html
There is no where to get it around here either. Most people don't even know what it is. But I can get ethanol free, real gas for about 10 cent more. They sell that just about everywhere.
Wow, that's retarded. I'm paying 3.78 for 93 and I think that's a rip.Edit: and according to gasbuddy if I go up the road a little more it's 3.69.Edit: But then again I remember filling up my Monte SS with ultra 94 and complaining because it was 1.04. :D
Do the test with the engine hot and see what happens. I was having the same thing happen, it was my turbo seals leaking. Was told that they seal with oil pressure.
I don't think it looks bad at all, shoot I'd spray the rims too..As far as the transformers sticker, do what you want. I thought about putting a small chrome one on the front bumper where the mitsu emblem goes. One of the best things I've seen is a newer beetle done up umbrella corporation...
I'm willing to bet most of us type on here with our phones, yet we still do OK.The main reason I think they want good spelling and such is when someone tries searching for a thread on let's say, throttle body, if is spelled throtl boby they are not going to find it even though the answer they...
Now if rather do it with the engine cold. Grab a cheap torch and some map gas and heat it up, that way only the part that you want hot is hot. After running for 20 min one skip with a wrench and that manifold will cook your arm
Pop your hood and look straight down, is to the left of the alternator. The wire for it runs across the engine and plugs in under the thermostat housing.
It's on the firewall. Follow the vacuum line from the fuel rail and you'll see it.Edit: check with the venders on this forum, one of them will probably have it.Also check with miller imports, they'll have one for cheap. It will be used but will work.
Which horn are you trying to get to work. I have a 96 gst, when I got it my horn didn't work either. I was trying to get the one on the firewall working. The one under the bumper cover in front of the driver side wheel is the one you need to play with.
