I would say at this point, the tune isn't great. It has plenty of room for improvement. A friend and DSM guru told me that with high coolant temps, it could be a blown head gasket. It doesn't have fantastic compression, ~130 across the board, but it doesn't push any coolant after a pull...
Good afternoon gentlemen,I recently got the opportunity to run my eclipse on a mobile dyno. It was a bit of a disappointment, given the mods I have and the time I've spent on the car. I only made 279hp and 295tq @ 25psi.Does anyone have any suggestions to reach the potential of the hta68...
Update:Tried the settings found on evolutionm.net. The car runs ok now. I wouldn't call it good though. Fuel trims are still at -12. Idle and most cruising is OK, although at a tiny throttle percentage, it runs around 12-14. If I give the throttle a quick blip, it comes back up and stays...

I could never personally get 2.9 to work with my car. I ended up using 2.8 and it works like a charm. If you have any questions about it, just let me know.
Just for future reference, I still had this problem up until lately. Grease, wd-40, anything I put on the assembly did not help. I noticed a few weeks ago that my master cylinder was leaking into the cabin. I purchased a new one and upon installing, found out that the clicking had stopped! I...
Bought some msr 17" wheels/tires for $200 and polished them up. Mounted them on the car and stripped one of my wheel studs. Nothing is ever easy. I also put new plugs in and turned up the boost.. It runs so much better now.Cue phone pics.
Ask him if he would like donations to help keep the site running. His site is pretty much the only good ecuflash material available for dsms. Thanks Ceddy!!
I have one of the nxs motorsports ones from eBay that I bought for $15. All it is is a spring and ball with a bolt on the top. It has served me well. I have never used a digital boost gauge, so I can't comment on those.
Also, this thread has everything you'll ever need on hooking up a MBC.http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-turbo-system-intercooler/237982-best-way-install-mbc.htmlHere is how I used to have mine with my t25.

What I would recommend is doing what gofer suggested. Take the thing off and blow through the bottom and tighten the top bolt down until you cannot blow through it anymore. Then put it on your car and take it for a run. Tighten down 1/2 turns untill you start seeing some results. That is...
I just kind of stopped worrying about it. I figured it couldn't knock while off the throttle. It kind of went away and now that I have a fmic, it doesn't do it at all. It may have been heat soaked or something, Idk.If you need help with anything, just shoot me a pm or something and I'll help...
Oh, and I forgot to add, before I used my stock boost gauge as a knock gauge, I was running about 18-20 psi on my 14b, and it was at the same spot, or lower than when I had the t25 at stock boost.Like everyone says, you can't rely on it. Real boost gauges are relatively inexpensive, lots of...
This really seems like a boost leak to me. If you are hitting full boost and your car goes nowhere, and the stock "boost" gauge spikes up, it could be counting air that is going out somewhere after the MAF. The maf is compensating for the air, but it is not actually being used.Get one of...
Over the last few days I put in my fmic and also replaced my transmission. Got sick and then had to take a break. It's almost all the way back together now.Pics, everyone loves pics!Omg. Very dirty and very tired. Need a shower!
I bought a flywheel off a guy for my car,he kind of just threw it in with a few other parts I was buying. He didn't know what brand it was, but it is pretty light. It weighs 11.5 lbs. I'll put it in whenever I put in my new clutch. Also, I have read and understand the concept of a...
I thought you guys may appreciate this. Not on my dsm, but my junker, an 88 Chrysler, buttoned up the new Lucas 20/20s and finished painting the top and hood.
No, I took the calipers and brackets off to put the new rotors on. I left the calipers connected to the brake line though because I didn't feel like dealing with the brake fluid mess.
Well.... Air hammer hammers for as long as you have air. Regular hammer hammers until you get tired. $40 seems reasonable as long as you have the air supply for it. Continuous use air tools use a lot of air!As for ball joints, a regular hammer works fine. I whacked mine a few times with a 2lb...
I don't have that one, but I did get one off eBay with my downpipe. The flanges were so warped on the o2 housing that it would be completely useless to put on without about an hour or so of machining. By that point, it would be about the same price as a more quality piece. The downpipe flanges...
Hey guys, I just got my taxtrix cable and 680cc injectors put on and have been fooling around with those, and ceddy big maps, for about a week on my car. I have got it running pretty good and have read so many ecuflash articles my eyes are bleeding. LOLI did a pull from 2nd to mid third or...
I totally feel you. My good friend has a 92 and I love driving that car. It doesn't even feel turbo it is so smooth. Very tourquey in low rpms too. I would love to have one but am not ready to give up the eclipse, and I cannot justify two sports cars.
When I replaced my ball joints I got both front lower control arms with the ball joints in them for $37 a piece at fisher auto. They had them in stock as well!
If it looks anything like this, then I would say that you will not be able to recirculate it unless you get really fancy/overkill and build a box around it that goes back into your...
