Well to be honest if it’s a daily I would stick to the oem, I only bought the xtd flywheel because I was on a tight budget. Overall the flywheel held up the weekend beatings, but totally different story with the xtd clutch. The xtd clutch gave out on me around 4000 miles:banghead: even when I...
Need more specifics? Is the smoke coming from where it bolts on to the head or turbo? If the manifold is smoking its most likely because you where grabbing your manifold with your dirty hands and the oil residue left on the manifold is burning up from the heat being produce.I do not think it’s...
^^^ this was after 1 1/2k she is still looking pretty good. I did a cylinder leak test only had about 5% leakage on one intake valve and 160 cross the board when I did a compression test..:thumb:
LOVING IT:hellyeah:
Sorry for late respones.. The block is the same just no oil squirters and smaller bore and no I have not ran into any problems she is running like a champ at 25psi.. The only thing I did not use was the head, I used my old 7 bolt head and did all the mods to it to fit the 6 bolt arp bolts and...
If you think both toe and camber should be "0"WTF you should take a college suspension class. Camber, Caster, Toe, Tire pressure, Tire size, rim size, tire wear, road force, and road crown etc all have to do with your alignment specs. For example road crown and acceleration, you need your front...
I know it's a late response but it should bolt right up the only difference I see is that the 4g63 and f5m31 have a five bolts that bolt the transmission to the block and the 1.8 (which I think is the g4cn from Hyundai) have 4 bolts that bolt the transmission to the block. All four bolts from...
Whats up you guys, Im tired of trying to look up MD parts numbers for hours and ending up with just wasting time and finding nothing.:banghead: So heres a list I found so far:
This list is for a 95 Eclipse GST with a F5M31 trans
1 - To 11/3/95 MD334948 $1475.38
2 - Head Gasket MD183808...
good news you guys i got the block back from the machine shop bore out to 85mm. ill post up some pictures later on today.. all i need back from the machine shop are my rods and pistons.
So today I was taking some measurements and found out that there is enough metal. The walls are 6.21mm thick. So if I bore it out from 81.5mm to 85mm there would be leave me about 2mm left over. :aha:
I was thinking about using my evo pistons with it. What would be a good ptw clearance?
So my measurements here they are for the rods and pistons.
Rod wrist pin-21mm
Rod length- 150mm
Piston top to piston pin- 35mm
Piston width 81.5mm
Same head gasket no differences at all:thumb:
wow i found out that you can stroke them out to 2.3
http://www.zerotohundred.com/newforums/car-modification/228048-2-3-stroker-kit-on-4g67.htmlI'm thinking of taking my block to get bore sometime after december due to christmas and new years.ill upload the photo I took, everything looks...
I've been really wondering about the bore but first thing is to get my block sonic tested to make sure I have enough material to bore it out that wide and not have a paper thin cylindered wall.
Well I'm going to take my g4cn apart this week so I can start taking measurements and see the difference between the rods. Hopefully there the same so I can reuse them with 7bolt pistons or other aftermarket pistons. I'll post the measurements with pictures so everybody can see the difference...
Yeah I saw that my crank had an 88mm stroke same as my 6bolt. So the g4cn rods are not the same as in the 63. I'm assuming that the g4cn are weaker??
I said that because there is always a smart a$$ out there that is going to reply me with "why don't you just use your 4g63". My 4g63 is warp so...
From what I've been reading the g4cn is the same block as the 4g63 but under bored.
Check this site out 4g67 turbo.. - Page 2 - Zerotohundred.com
Do you know a estimate prize for getting my block sonic checked?
Whats up you guys i need help with my G4CN. I know that the g4cn and the 4g67 are the same blocks with an 81.5mm bore (1.8). Ive been reading some threads that you can bore out the 4g67 to an 85.5mm bore same as the 4g63??? That is a 4mm (.157) difference. Does the block have enough clearance...
Well in reality I think 6 and 7 bolt rods have the same straight. The only really bad thing is that 7 bolt rods have bad reputation. Ive been pushing the rods and the pistons to 20psi:thumb: and yet they still holding strong.(imo its how u take care of ## engine, u maintenance and change ## oil...
jaja well silicosys4 this is where my experience and my degree in automotive and welding come in hand and my job because i work at a college... im not saying its going to be easy im just sayin that i thougth about it before i started it. I know the manifolds are cheap crap from ebay but not all...
well this is for guys without deep pockets... plus one of my budys has been running his honda for a year now with these manifolds and he hasn't had any problems only that there not chrome anymore because all the exhaust heat. but they been holding up well at 18psi..
whats up guys.. i been thinking how to make a cheap ramhorn exhaust manifold without paying $600 to $100:banghead:0..ok hears the idea.. take these ebay ramhorn turbo manifolds from a b16($100), exhaust manifold steel flange($50) from cxracing and a turbo inlet manifold adapter($33)ok...
