Running a Honda radiator? [Merged 7-9] half scirocco afco smaller

yes ....I like that stm setup thanks for that ....but im not looking to spend $3,000 right now .... and -16an = 1" and -12an = 3/4 ....most of the outlets of a radiator are 1.25" in size thus you would have to have at least the -16anbut I would still like to see more setups

    4g61 Swap questions into a 95 gs-t

Why swap a motor such as the 4g61 when they colt's and mirages take them out to put in a 4g63 .....don't see a point in doing this !A stock 4g63 can hold more than 400hp ...400hp is not it's limit 6 bolt swap is a good swap but if there is nothing wrong with your 7 bolt why change?

2 Blown headgasksets in 1 year, STOCK DSM

I wouldn't have pulled anything off just yet ....I would have checked the TQ on the headstuds to see if they might have backed them selves out enough to lift the head ...and if you do check them makes sure you do it in the right order when you tighten them !A good place for head studs...

Header Wrap [Merged 3-8] thermal DEI headers exhaust

the directions say to soak it weather you spray it with a water hose or fill a small bucket with water and let it sit in the water for a min. ...then wrap it .....let it dry ......then spray the sealer over it ....have funAs I said I used DEI products and have had awsome results
  39. GSTeclipse

Header Wrap [Merged 3-8] thermal DEI headers exhaust

I did that as well ......and broke them becuase they still did not get tight enough to keep the soaked wrap from slipping when I was wraping ....The HOSE CLAMPS worked the best for me !
  40. GSTeclipse

Header Wrap [Merged 3-8] thermal DEI headers exhaust

Yeah the metal straps where a big waste of $8 lol ....regular hose clamps worked 10 times better :thumb:
  41. GSTeclipse

Header Wrap [Merged 3-8] thermal DEI headers exhaust

yes once I soaked it for about 1 min it was pretty slippery ....so I wraped it and it still seemed to be loose so I just let it dry and it got tight enough to where I could not lift the wrap in spots with my finger nail as I could with it wet !
  42. GSTeclipse

Header Wrap [Merged 3-8] thermal DEI headers exhaust

I don't know how that works out if you didn't so I can't say much but the directions say to soak it before you wrap !
  43. GSTeclipse

Header Wrap [Merged 3-8] thermal DEI headers exhaust

well cast is alot thicker than some tubular manifold , which tubular are going to put off more heat , the wraping is going to help control most of it but not all of it
  44. GSTeclipse

Header Wrap [Merged 3-8] thermal DEI headers exhaust

the cams and intake manifold will lower the spool time but its not but a few 100 RPMS ...not really a big deal IMOI am using DEI & DEI Spray (silver)....just follow the direction and sock the stuff in water and then wrap it as tight as possible and use some hose clamps or what have you let...

Biggest tubro i can use on a stock motor

if you didn't want to upgrade those things ...I would still recomend buying a cat back & test pipe these will help get the air out since you already have a intake...you don't have to buy a brand new cat back I am sure you can find a nice cat back setup in you local area for around $300 which...

he said he does not want to mods this or mod that ...thats not saying he does not have some mods already .... is what I am saying !
  47. GSTeclipse

Biggest tubro i can use on a stock motor

everyone is saying stock turbo is all you can run ...when we don't even know what his current mods are !Even if he was totally stock a t28 at the same amount of boost would not cause any affects like spark , knock , fuel cut .....how do I know? Been there done that like 5 years ago
  48. GSTeclipse

Header Wrap [Merged 3-8] thermal DEI headers exhaust

well usually when you add cams and a SMIM your spool is a little slower but makes up for it in the higher rpms ...what he is saying I guess is with the add of the heat wrap it put his spool time back at 3600rpms !It works and is a good idea to do for the sake of heat and you being burned :thumb:
