i agree. most of these people have'nt driven all 3.the turbo dodge scene is just as bad. they cant believe a neon has more HP than their 5k daytona.the dsm's were good cars in their day. but the new technology kicks their ass.go drive a new sti.go drive a new civic si with 201 hp.go...
if you have the right belt and its adjusted right then you need to check your pulley alignment. male sure its straight and even with the other pulleys.you may have an issue with your power steering pump. maybe its making too much pressure and the belts slipping . you could check that with a...
you need to be sure your getting fuel. pop the fuel line off the rail and crank it for a couple seconds. if you dont get a fuel spray you have a problem.
when you get it off fold the belt so the teeth are facing you. look at the edges where the teeth meet the belt. they get cracked and dry rotted in there. you wont see that with the belt on.
anytime you lose 1 belt theres always the chance it will take out the other one. if you lose the belt on the inside it has nowhere to go but get caught under the other belt.check your pulleys as someone already suggested, also make sure your alternator bushings arent bad. if the alternator is...
your radiator might be restricted. you need to warm the car up and check for even temperature across the radiator. any cold spots and you have a restriction. i use a digital temp gun.
search the trans part number here or on google. you should be able to find some info.your missing something, you have the wrong trans or flywheel. you need to know what part number trans the car came with and flywheel. or your starter is junk.
that looks like a piece of a piston. as long as it runs fine i wouldnt worry. but eventually youll have a problem. and if that things been floating around in there the cylinder wall might not be ok.i would drive it till it goes. then think about a rebuild or a rebuilt engine.
this is probably what it is. a piece of piston. compression wouldnt change much if theres no hole.does the car ping ??? do you ever hear any pinging when you get on it ??? do you run 87 octane gas ???
i've owned all 3. the cobalt was supercharged.while the srt4 isnt awd, the engine in that car can make huge power, and its super reliable.i would buy another srt4, i probably wouldnt buy another cobalt.
well like someone else said, you cant have fuel compression and spark.you may have fuel but do you have enough pressure ???you may have spark but is there enough Kv ???you need a fuel pressure gauge and something to make sure your spark is hot enough.
i didnt know what area to put this in. i figured this was ok.so at work today we get a not sure what year stealth towed in. white, non turbo automatic. the guy who had it towed in used to be the service manager next door at the chevy dealer. so it gets towed in with this looooong note with...
this is what it looked like before i bought some tires and put the factory wheels back on.but the tires were the worng size, the speedo was way off, it had a huge gap in the wheel wells it looked stupid. i liked the look but the wheels were junk, they were white at one time and painted black...
it says gs on the rear bumper, not gst. its turbo and 2 wheel drive. whats the difference between a gs and gst anyway, just the awd ???its got 146k on it. im the third owner. the original owner had it for 125k. he sold it to some kid who made it nearly un-driveable. i had to put a tranny in...
